0:00 Hey what's up? Over the years a lot of you have asked me to review this video called I am addicted to meat, now my girlfriend wants to leave me. I never thought that it's worth doing it but seeing as you guys still keep asking me I'm gonna do it today.

[video] 0:23 A freaky eater is someone who takes an eating habit to an extreme. 24-year-old Michael is an out-and-out carnivore. I'd go nuts without meat. He devours up to 150 pounds of meat a month.

0:35 That sounds good. What's the problem?

[video] 0:40 And he has never eaten a salad or vegetable.

0:43 That's great. Vegetables are one of the unhealthiest foods on earth besides seeds.

[video] 0:51 I only hear horror stories about broccoli. It kind of looks like a tiny tree.

0:56 Yes, broccoli is a poisonous flower. Really unhealthy. You should never eat it. His girlfriend is ready to walk.

[video] 1:04 You do have control over, you just don't want to.

1:07 If he doesn't change. Control over what? What's the problem?

[video] 1:12 I'm not going to have any choice other than to leave him. With only one week of intense therapy. You are on rails to die. And experts Dr. Mike Dow and JJ Virgin help stop Michael's carnivorous appetite. I'm not going to change. And save his life from grinding to a halt. It looks good.

1:40 How can you be addicted to meat? It's what we are naturally supposed to eat. That's what humans eat for the most part in nature. It's like saying that a cow is addicted to grass.

[video] 1:55 My boyfriend Michael is a freaky eater.

2:01 Yeah, this society is completely brainwashed. Now they believe that eating mostly meat is an addiction. As if it's weird.

[video] 2:10 24 year old Michael lives on meat.

2:15 as you should in mind-boggling quantities i just well he also eats bread and the meat is processed also partly the sausages the bacon there's salt added to it other preservatives which are of course poisonous for the body the bread itself is obviously also unhealthy seeing as it's made out of seeds there's glyphosate in there and whatnot all kinds of Pesticides and herbicides, sausages oftentimes are filled with grain sludge just because it's more expensive to have a sausage which is made out of 100% meat or 99% besides some spices and whatever they would add to it. He does look a little bit pale. Otherwise, he looks healthy. Maybe he just doesn't go out into the sun a lot. Like to just eat meat only.

[video] 3:11 He averages up to 150 pounds monthly. That's equivalent to an astounding 1800 pounds a year. 12 times the average person's consumption. It's just meat and more meat. In one day, Michael can put away as much as 5 quarter pounds...

3:26 He also has sly dark eye circles, but that could be from before. That could be because he has a lot of stress. It's not as if it's really bad. It's the only other thing I notice about him that's also a health indicator. But that can come from not sleeping enough, drinking coffee, and who knows if he does that. They probably won't even mention that because they see that as normal. And that's abnormal, yeah. Just twisted minds.

[video] 3:55 Hot dogs, a rack of ribs, two steaks, and up to 30 chicken wings. I love the way meat tastes in my mouth, and I like to see the juices running through it. I crave meat. That was good. As a kid, I would just eat meat. I haven't tried vegetables because my parents really weren't that pushy. I don't eat anything green. I've never tried a piece of lettuce in my whole life.

4:19 Really? Really, yeah? Oh, that's cool. Interesting.

[video] 4:24 Michael has been with his girlfriend Jenna for seven years, promised to each other since high school. However, his meat addiction is taking its toll on their relationship.

4:37 Don't cook them too much. Nice. So he likes it closer to the natural state, raw.

[video] 4:45 I think the way Michael eats...

4:47 The middle was raw there from what it seems like.

[video] 4:51 Cool. I don't see a time where I'm gonna just order a vegetable.

4:57 Yeah, just brainwashed. Thinking that meat is unhealthy. Makes no sense.

[video] 5:01 I'm so worried that I'm gonna lose Mike the way that I lost my dad. Because with my dad it was a heart attack and I know meat's not good for your heart.

5:15 Right, yeah, sure. It's not the seed oils that caused it, no. I have no control over it.

[video] 5:24 You do have control over it, you just don't want to.

5:28 Actually, yeah, exactly. He tries to be free. He doesn't want to control himself. He just wants to eat what he wants to eat. And his intuition tells him that meat is good for him. And now the brainwashed girlfriend is trying to talk him into believing that it's bad for him.

[video] 5:46 Go through that again. But despite Jenna's fear that Michael will die of heart failure like her father, he refuses to stop gorging on meat. I'm not going to change. These are looking good. If Michael doesn't start eating better, then I'm not going to have any choice other than to leave him.

[video] 6:07 Terrified Michaels life will end like her father's Jenna has called in freaky eater experts.

6:12 Dr. Mike Dow and JJ virgin to give I got these guys again I know them from the raw meat eater review from years ago and also from some other videos Michael a week of intense therapy for his meat addiction either

[video] 6:29 Dr. McDowell, nice to meet you. I'm a licensed psychotherapist specializing in eating disorders and addictive behaviors. JJ Virgin. I'm a certified nutrition specialist and a certified health and fit.

6:39 Well, there you go. They can help him. They understand that eating meat is an eating disorder, basically. I'm a specialist.

[video] 6:48 Your girlfriend Jenna called us. She says there's a little problem and I think we see it right here. This is a ridiculous amount of chicken wings. I was worried about who these people were and what they wanted to do with me. This is normal? Yeah. Her boyfriend's idea of romance was a restaurant that serves $0.25 wings. Do you think that this is a problem?

7:07 No.

[video] 7:09 Having a plate full of chicken wings

7:11 Well, the wings are probably made in seed oils. That's a problem. Yeah. No matter what you eat, if it's made in seed oils, it's a problem. Also for the heart, the arteries, it can lead to a stroke or a heart attack.

7:29 The concern, in a sense, is kind of valid. She just doesn't understand that it doesn't have anything to do with the meat. He eats a lot of meat, which is made in seed oils. Whether it's actually big enough amounts to cause a problem in the end, I don't know.

[video] 7:47 In front of Mike today was the perfect way to show Dr. Dow and JJ just how severe this is.

7:54 Michael, how is your health? I don't see anything wrong with me. you might start to just have overall compared to most people he looks better

[video] 8:03 I have simple things like headaches or stomach aches or joint pain.

8:08 What? Wait, what? Why would he have any of that from eating meat? The fuck are you talking about, man? I just fuck off.

[video] 8:17 You have those things?

8:18 I have a headache right now, but this is my fuel to... He's funny. I have a headache right now because they're talking nonsense.

[video] 8:27 Go on for the day. We have our work cut out for us. So can we pull you away from that plate and see what's going on in your home kitchen? Can I box this up and take it and eat it later? Step away from the wings. One more bite. If Michael can eat 30 wings in a restaurant, it's important for JJ and I to see what he's eating at home.

[video] 8:47 Steaks, bacon, ground beef in there. Michael is eating five pounds of meat every day. Bacon and hot dogs and steak. This could feed a small army. Show me what a typical meal would be.

9:03 Well, yeah, maybe it could feed an army because the army gets grain sludge and all kinds of packaged powders and then a little bit of meat. So in that sense, he's right because they are very enslaved. He's eating closer to the way a king would be eating.

[video] 9:21 So this would be dinner. Wow. You eat all of this? Two and a half pounds of meat right here. Yeah.

9:28 I was afraid that... Isn't he kind of tall also? Or maybe the girlfriend is smaller. He probably needs a lot of food also. That should be calculated in. Dr. Dao and JJ were gonna take away all my meat.

[video] 9:41 Who does the cooking here? She wants to cook for me, but I need to control how it's prepared. That's a lot of control. That is a lot of control, Michael. And if I even try to cook for him, he's hovering. I know relationships, and I know that if this continues to be the thing that's always there for you, this may not always be there. Is this the last straw for you?

[video] 10:03 Yeah. 24-year-old Michael is addicted to meat. His obsession is putting his relationship with his girlfriend in serious jeopardy. Is this the last straw for you? Yeah.

[video] 10:13 In order for Michael to grasp the full extent of his meat obsession, JJ and Dr. Dow take him to a butcher shop for shock therapy. Because Michael doesn't think he has a problem, we needed shock therapy to be something very visual. Come with me. Michael is totally underestimating his problem. Wait till he sees what we have in store for him in the meat locker.

[video] 10:39 that is one month worth of your meat consumption 150 pounds of meat wow it's easy to deny what we do on a daily basis but when you see the amount of foods you eat in one month it's much harder to deny it looks good you think this looks good there are a whole bunch of pieces of meat in there that i really wanted to put on a barbecue right now it kind of backfired four to five pounds of meat a day with nothing else is frightening wow our body can't handle that amount of protein and it's loaded with saturated fats which can lead to heart disease oh my god man just completely brainwashed in the school stroke

11:22 Yeah, so then why was the first recorded heart attack in a US hospital around a hundred years ago? Why didn't we have this problem before? Because we were eating more broccoli in the past? Broccoli doesn't even really exist for that long. It's a completely man-made plant. There's no such thing in nature. The new diets which we are eating now, those are causing the problems. That's what's causing all of the disease.

[video] 11:54 Meat is getting in the way because we are not on the same page She literally actually told him the problem. It's her They have a problem because she has a problem

12:23 he doesn't have a problem the meat is not the problem it's her she's the only one causing the problem about anything and you're not willing to make a change michael's actions are telling me that he doesn't care about our future you want to say no it's you you are the issue in the relationship completely we bring children into this world knowing that that is the way he's eating and you're probably going to be a widow

[video] 12:52 I wouldn't want to have kids with this person just because I know what I went through. Sorry. About five years ago, my dad passed away. It was a very sudden heart attack. And I'm worried that the same thing might happen with Michael.

13:05 Yeah, but what was your dad eating? Only meat? I don't think so. If yes, then it was cooked in seed oils.

[video] 13:15 I wouldn't want to have to go through that again.

13:17 If you can prevent it, right?

[video] 13:18 If you can prevent it. Did you know that, Michael? After talking and everything, it's, you know, definitely more and more things are coming out. Yeah. It definitely opens my eyes up to a lot more problems that me and Jenna have. You know, now I have to work on them. Are you feeling now a little bit more hopeful? I think we'll regain the control of our relationship through your eating habits. If this behavior doesn't change, Jen is going to be out of this relationship. We got our work cut out for us, so let's get started. Let's do it. Michael's dependence on meat may also be causing him severe health problems. I'm going to introduce him to a heart surgeon, Dr. Michael Sasevich, because Michael needs a rude awakening. So, Michael, we sent you out for some labs. Yes. And I have the results. Oh, no. I am real nervous about seeing the test results. I would rather just not know.

14:05 Your cholesterol is too high. I can already tell what they're going to say. symptoms that you have real bad migraine headaches lower stomach pain oh he has migraines that's from the salt for sure maybe some other toxins but the salt is known to cause headaches yeah it's the main reason really today stop eating salt and it will go away very quickly and are burned.

[video] 14:32 Your body's trying to tell you something.

14:34 Wait, what did he say? Bad migraine headaches, lower stomach pain, lower stomach pain. He also eats quite a lot of grain sludge though. Who knows how much he actually eats? Hmm. are burned your body's trying hard burn again processed meat tons of salt and grain sludge also yeah it's not natural meat it's not meat in its raw state i'm gonna tell you something you're not getting away with your lifestyle you are eating damaged fats i think that he still has less health issues than most people today to be fair

15:17 to high heat saturated fats the type of fat that creates yeah you shouldn't be cooking it she's kind of right as far as i understand except that she's implying that saturated fat in general is bad it's inflammation in your body leading you to coronary artery disease which leads to heart attacks we see this aa epa ratio which well

15:42 the cooked fats are not good who knows what they actually do in the body nobody can really answer that but in that sense she's right as far as i understand seeing as you should be eating raw animal foods tells you the risk of heart disease you right here you're at high risk you're 24 with high risk of heart disease because of what you put on your fork

16:10 Yeah, I wouldn't be taking these tests seriously. Maybe it can be an indicator of something, but other than that, it's essentially pointless to listen to them, usually.

[video] 16:22 He's living and eating is causing self-destruction. It's just scary to think about. Now, I wanted Dr. Sasevich to show Michael a diseased heart because that's the road he's going down. That's a normal-sized heart. Now, put that down next to this heart. Look at the size difference in that heart. This is called dilated cardiomyopathy. This is a disease that happens when somebody has a diet that's high in red meat, high cholesterol.

16:50 What? What are you talking about?

16:55 What? What is that based on?

[video] 16:58 High fats. The heart is pushing against all your arteries that are hardened and full of cholesterol plaques. It causes everything to get so thick that the... Oh, yeah, okay, I get it.

17:09 He's simply trying to link... the plaque in the arteries to eating meat and a lot of animal fat which of course has never been proven but he's talking about some correlation studies and that's why he says that eating a lot of meat is causing that yeah completely fabricated evidence nonsense

[video] 17:30 Blood can't get through the heart, and it causes heart failure. It's like one massive traffic jam. Seeing the hearts, I got real freaked out and real scared. The illusion is that people think they can have the diet that they have when they're young and have no consequence for it. So basically, you are on rails to die. And you're most likely going to die at a younger age than most people would.

17:50 Realistically, even with all the processed meat and the grain sludge he eats from the burgers and hot dogs and whatever, I still think that he would live way longer than most people. Because most people eat this anyway. They just eat way more grains and toxic vegetables along with that. In comparison, he eats better than most Americans.

[video] 18:12 Jenna, you okay? It's just very emotional for me to see it.

[video] 18:18 Does this push you over the edge to make the change? Yeah, absolutely. You're going to eat vegetables? Look at me. I'll eat vegetables. I don't want to end up like one of those potty parts on the lap table.

[video] 18:39 With Michael vowing to try vegetables, JJ and Dr. Dao are now going to hold him to that promise. We're going to take Michael to a Mongolian barbecue. It's a perfect place for graded exposure therapy. Graded exposure therapy means starting with what you like, all that meat that you love, and adding vegetable by vegetable at a time. Start with one vegetable. Oh, no. I'm really dreading this experience. OK, grab a bowl.

[video] 19:07 You have enough meat. Leave some space for the vegetables. When JJ told me to put a vegetable in my bowl, I was freaking out. Let me get my magnifying glass out to see that carrot. Is that good enough? I'll add a little more here. Okay, thank you. Thank you.

19:27 How does that look to you?

19:31 Still a little... It looks like food with some non-food garbage in there. Yeah.

[video] 19:37 Weirded out. Vegetables and stuff just didn't appeal to me. There goes nothing.

[video] 19:45 The initial bite with the carrots was pretty hard. I didn't like the crunch. It's a little strange, but it wasn't bad. So I count this as a win. Yeah, red peppers are a fruit, actually.

[video] 20:07 It's like he's an alien who's from another planet.

20:11 This guy is nev- No, it's literally the other way around, you moron.

[video] 20:15 ...ever had a pepper. He has no idea what they taste like. Alright, one, two, three. As I'm raising the fork to my mouth, I'm thinking, please let this be good.

[video] 20:31 It's not bad. Guess what? Guess what? Oh, my god. Take that bowl away again. What am I going to do next? Hold it. Hold it. One of the most amazing superfoods out there is broccoli. I only hear horror stories about broccoli. It kind of looks like a tiny tree. Who would want to eat a tree?

20:56 Man, this is so bad, such manipulation and brainwashing. They themselves talked themselves into believing that it's good for you, even though it tastes poisonous.

21:12 It's, um, interesting, not bad. yeah since this is your yeah it's not bad because it's mixed together with what noodles and meat and some sauce or something first well-balanced meal you've had in your life we should actually eat this one

[video] 21:27 Michael is teaching himself that he can do this.

21:30 It's no wonder that people go vegan and plant-based, because this is what they are exposed to. People constantly pushing plants. And there's a lot riding on it. With this kind of logic, you can understand why people think, oh, well, if that's healthy, why not go 100% healthy, fully vegan? If you say that vegetables and seeds are healthy, why not just eat a vegan diet? Completely makes sense that people come to this conclusion. Yeah, absolutely.

[video] 22:02 The experts are now going to be leaving Michael alone for four days. We've given Michael all the tools to succeed, but he needs to choose to use them. If he doesn't, his life could fall apart. Michael's meat dependency has taken precedence over his health and relationship. Now the experts have left Michael on his own for four days to work on his controlling issues with Jenna and broaden his food palette.

[video] 22:27 I think that they always switch to fish because they believe that fish is healthier for whatever reason because there's less cholesterol or something even though officially there's more actually

[video] 22:49 As usual, he's standing over me, controlling what I'm doing.

22:55 There was salt, right? That's what's causing the headaches.

[video] 22:58 That's gonna be your piece. Okay, I'm taking this one. You are so out of control. It's just obnoxious. Put this on it so that when you put them in there... What's that gonna do to it? It was definitely a huge stretch. The dried green beans, I was really nervous about how they were gonna taste, but I had to give it a go.

[video] 23:18 I didn't like the green beans really at all. You don't like it? I don't know. I can't guarantee that I'll love everything, but I have to take those little steps first. Now you did that, you can try.

23:30 Guy is getting severely brainwashed, man. It's too bad. I wonder what happened to him seeing as this is from a while ago.

[video] 23:42 Nice to see you. Come in, come in. Come in. By the end of the week, the experts return to check on Michael's progress. So do you have good news for us? I ate fish. Good. I tried green beans with the fish, so two in one. Michael incorporating a wider variety of healthier foods into his diet is a life-altering decision for Michael. Are you proud of yourself? That's an excellent start. I'm very proud of myself. And we have more homework. What? I said do not hover.

[video] 24:10 Then the problem showed up. I had no knowledge of that. You did not share the homework? Not that part. Not that part. I was really pissed off when Michael didn't tell me about his other homework assignment. He's sitting there just dumping on the seasoning himself. That's hovering. Yeah. I need it to be cooked my way. Go stand right here. I'll do the rest. There's clearly something going on, and we are not there yet. Jenna, you come with me. Let's go outside. All right. And we'll leave Michael JJ.

[video] 24:37 So you're tired. I am tired. You don't want to do this anymore. No, I don't. I feel like his babysitter, not his girlfriend, you know? And no one wants to feel like that. If he doesn't grow up and just change, then I'm out of here, because I'm not going to do this anymore. There are a lot of things we can control in this life, but there are a lot of things that we have to accept. And Michael making that decision to really treat his addiction or not is ultimately up to him. I can only do so much. That's right.

25:02 They talk about the addiction as if he's addicted to heroin or something. He's just eating meat. Jesus. Also, why do they not have children? They've been together for seven years.

[video] 25:15 Change a person. You can't change him.

25:19 Maybe it's her. She seems to be absolutely the problem. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's all her.

[video] 25:28 Jenna really doesn't seem like a good girlfriend.

25:29 I would get rid of her.

[video] 25:44 She doesn't want to be your mom. There's nothing romantic about dating your mom. What is the thing that she says she wants to do most of all? Eat a salad. She's probably malnourished and that's why she doesn't want to have children herself. I'm just assuming things here, but if she eats a lot of plants, it might as well be so.

[video] 26:17 I have packed a picnic basket full of choices. You're going to put together your own picnic basket and then you will invite Jenna on a romantic picnic. I don't want to lose Jenna over some stupid food, so I need to change my eating habits.

26:31 Yeah, but what if she needs to change them? Why is he the problem here? They're all brainwashed.

[video] 26:43 This picnic really represents Michael's last chance. Is he going to change or is this relationship going to be over? He picked everything in that basket. Michael's never taken me on a picnic before, so I was really excited to see what it held. I'm so excited. We've got this little kind of salad here. I just couldn't wait to see if Michael would actually follow through and try to sell it.

27:04 She doesn't look healthy. She has a lot of makeup on. I am assuming that she's covering up dark eye circles.

27:15 maybe some acne something like that also yeah yeah because it's pretty thick the makeup she's covering up a lot all right we'll go for it it's okay i don't know did this relationship actually last i wonder

27:46 Or the diet maybe didn't last. I don't think that it could last. He's just going against his intuition.

[video] 27:53 I was just overcome with so much emotion when I saw Michael eating that salad. This is a huge thing that we're overcoming together. I always told Jenna her entire life I'd never eat a salad. So when I took that first bite, I knew that was the first step in the right direction. You have exceeded our expectations. It got me to this point, which I never thought I'd ever be at in a million years. You did it. Before we met Michael, he lived on meat. He was controlling and really didn't listen to his girlfriend. Now, not only is Michael eating better, he's also communicating better. And that's going to set him and Jenna up for a long, healthy relationship. Thank you so much. I appreciate everything. I'm definitely confident that this is the new Michael that I could see spending the rest of my life with. Let's dig in. I definitely feel like I'm a different guy now, going out of my box, eating vegetables. It's just going to make mine and Jenna's relationship that much better. Thank you, babe. I'm so happy.

28:46 michael eats at least one vegetable a day okay and half as much meat so he eats more grain sludge probably instead how the is that better and his stomach pains are gone sure he started eating vegetables and his stomach pains are gone yeah believable

29:10 jenna and michael's relationship is stronger than yeah whatever man the relationship is weak anyway and maybe not weak obviously they are together for seven years but there's a lot wrong and by a lot i mean jenna

29:29 I just now tried to find some information about what happened to them, but I couldn't find anything. Let me know if you have heard of anything. It's unlikely that he stuck to this diet, even if he was only eating one vegetable a day. Maybe they also simply broke up eventually. But they had been together for seven years. Jenna really is a piece of work, though. It would be very hard to live together with somebody like that. Really controlling. And they tried to somehow turn it around on him. As if he's controlling. He was just eating what he wanted to eat. You come along and try to change his diet.

30:14 and you try to control what he eats but then when he wants to eat what he wants to eat and he tries to control the pan he's controlling what kind of a twisted mind control attempt was this you were trying to totally twist his mind isn't that gaslighting essentially kind of It's in that direction. Yeah, of course, the show needed to get some experts and this is who you get. It's understandable why it went down like that. They seem as if they are credible people. And when somebody says that they have studied here and there, they have some diploma, then of course, automatically you think they know what they are talking about. And when they say that you should be eating more vegetables, Then you automatically accept that as the truth instead of just some opinion.

31:13 And in this case it's a really wrong opinion.

31:17 It's a really misguided belief. But you just don't understand that because you blindly believe the figures of authority, which they kind of are. They kind of are like the authorities of food, even though they have no clue about it. Interesting how it is today. Thanks for watching.
