0:00 Hey everyone, a subscriber of mine told me about this woman called Anna Bay. She makes videos about fashion being elegant, online it says that she lives in Switzerland, but a few weeks ago she made a video about her midlife crisis. Young women should watch this video.
[video] 0:25 I'm 39 years old and three years ago when I was 36, my midlife crisis started, but I wasn't aware of it.
0:34 I thought that humans in nature don't have a midlife crisis or any kind of crisis like that.
[video] 0:42 It wasn't applicable to me because I thought, you know, what we all think about what a midlife crisis is that that is just something people get when they're like in their 50s or 60s and they start acting out, you know, they become a bit reckless. They want to relive their youth. So they buy like a sports car.
0:58 It's not that you want to relive it. You want to live it. Huge difference, obviously, because you never actually lived your natural life. you never lived your life the way it was supposed to be lived and that's why when you're 40 50 60 you may think about it a lot about all of the things that you missed out on oftentimes you're not even really conscious of what it is but you have this feeling deep inside of you which has been suppressed and this feeling tells you that you didn't live your life the way you should have but instead You will do what she said. You will buy some kind of fast car. Do something which you possibly already did in your youth or that you wanted to back then. But it's not what you naturally wanted to do.
1:57 That's the big problem. Meaning that even if you do that, it will still not fulfill you.
[video] 2:04 Leave their marriage or something like that. Because I wasn't feeling those feelings. I thought, no, no, no, no. It's not possible for me to have midlife crisis. I don't have it. I'm too young. But fast forward to now, now that I know that a midlife crisis can come in any different shape or form, and they can be big, they can be small, they can be completely life-changing, or they can be very subtle. Truly for different people, they can look quite different. So what has happened as a result is that for the last three years,
2:28 They can be different, but it all boils down to the same problem. You're not living naturally.
[video] 2:36 I'm feeling really stuck in my life. I've been feeling lost. I've been feeling confused. I haven't been understanding what is going on with myself. Why am I feeling all these feelings? And to be honest, it has been so incredibly overwhelming. Look, the reality...
2:50 This reminds me of how pregnant women don't understand why they have cravings for these so-called strange foods. It's because they don't eat natural food, meaning that their bodies don't know what to ask for, what kind of food to look for, because what you find in the fridge is not what you naturally want. It's very similar. I can give you a lot of examples like this. People today are very confused. They want something. It's very suppressed. Deep down they know it. And then, because it has been suppressed, they think about something else. What should I do? It must be something else that I want. Do I want pickles? Do I want to eat a lot of peanut butter? What is it that I want?
3:49 It's very similar with food and everything else in your life. When you don't live naturally, you will be very confused.
[video] 3:57 What is that? I'm actually right in the middle of my midlife crisis right now. It's not over. I wish it was, because trust me, it's not fun to be in this place. So it's far from over yet. Now, it is important for you to know that End of 2022, my life was pretty solid. Like my personal life was great. My career was blooming. I was really enjoying the life that, well, that I was passionate about building for so many years prior. Literally on paper, everything looked great, which is kind of the irony in the story, because that's usually how a midlife crisis, how it tends to start. But then what happened?
4:34 That's funny because your life in the system is going great. That's what you believe. And then you have those problems. Why is it like that? It's simple. It's because you reach possibly the peak of slavery or something close to it. Probably not the peak. And then you realize, wow... I got what I wanted. When I was 20 years old, this is what I imagined. A great career, a husband, a dog, lots of money in my head. I live in a great country, have some good friends, colleagues, but I feel empty.
5:28 It's because you reached what you wanted and then you realize that it's not what you wanted.
[video] 5:35 Well, the finer things in life, they started to feel less exciting. High society circles started to lose its luster and anything kind of related to luxury just started to make me feel kind of bored. I don't know.
5:50 She writes my identity lost meaning and that's exactly how it is. because it's not your actual so-called identity.
[video] 6:01 Hard for me to exactly explain it because I don't reject that life, I don't reject those circles, I don't reject having those interests. In fact, I still have those preferences in my life to a certain extent, but far less than before. I don't know, I guess end of 22, the spark just disappeared. I started feeling different towards a lot of things, but it became an inconvenience because I had built an entire lifestyle according to that identity, according to that interest, passion, preference and goals and so you know you wake up one day you're like what am I gonna do now my social circle definitely took a hit as well certain friendships faded out I started to feel like
6:43 Those are not real friendships.
[video] 6:46 Us interested in going to all these, you know, fancy events. All of that just started to feel really boring. I started to make also change.
6:53 Yes, it's boring because it's not what you really want to do. When you're doing something which you don't actually want to do, you will feel bored.
[video] 7:03 Travelling, that's also something that lost people do a lot.
7:19 Sure, seeing something here and there, some great forests can be nice, but when you travel all the time, you want to see 100 so-called countries, then obviously there's a different reason for why you're doing that.
[video] 7:41 And so I stopped with all of that. A big one that I have spoken on my channel about a lot is that I stopped shopping. I mean, at some point, I feel like I was a bit of a shopaholic or something.
7:50 This is her channel, and as I said, it's all about clothes, shoes, luxury, bags. And why do you do all of this? Why do you try to fill your house? It's because... there's something missing and in this case it's children it's a big family in nature you have lots of people around you all the time and when you buy a lot of cats dogs especially but also when you buy clothes when you collect items you're trying to fill this void somehow and that's impossible And once you collect everything, you slowly realize that it was all meaningless, which is possibly the case here. You really need to think about it.
8:49 Why do you keep buying something? Why do you need so much of it? What are you actually trying to fill? Not really your closet. That's what you believe. But when you think about it, that's not it. Because you want something. The feeling that you have is that there's an emptiness and you need something. You need to fill it somehow. And that's why you need to buy, buy, buy. It's an obsession, an addiction, as she said. And you need that because you want to fill this natural void. And this natural void is a family in this case.
9:37 Lots of people do this nowadays in many different ways.
[video] 9:40 As I'm stepping into this new phase of my life, I guess a lot of kind of new, let's call it cravings have emerged within me and have all those cravings have always been there. So influence this change that I'm feeling. I'm really reshaping my life a lot now because now I'm really just craving a lot of honesty in all areas of my life. You know, authenticity has never been this important for me in all that.
10:07 honest authentic people family she is talking about having a family whether she realizes it or not because those are the most authentic people naturally maybe nowadays because of all the manipulation that's going on in these societies um maybe not but uh That's how it should be.
[video] 10:35 Aspects. Everything from how I spend my time. Like, I'm kind of done spending my time in ways that doesn't fill me up in a genuine way anymore. Like, that's why I stopped a bit going to all these, you know, fancy high society events because even though they can be entertaining, I also sometimes feel like they can be quite fake and it feels quite boring to kind of sit there and talk about the weather with people. I mean, I can still go to...
11:01 about the weather exactly completely meaningless conversations about nothing because you're stuck in the system you don't express yourself
[video] 11:14 These events sometimes, but not at all the same scale as before. And same thing when it comes to like friendships. Like, I just want to spend time with like truly authentic people now. People who are themselves, who are honest, who are not hiding.
11:27 Themselves. Interesting. That would be wild people, self-willed people. Those people really are themselves, their natural selves. People today are fake, walking around with a mask, acting all the time. They just act. They never express themselves. That's all that they do.
[video] 11:56 Behind the mask, people who really say exactly how it is.
12:00 And that's also how I want to... You really won't find those kind of people in these modern societies. But you will find some who somewhat express themselves.
[video] 12:13 lead my life how I want to leave my channel how I want to honestly live my life in all aspects, you know, just, you know, this is how it is. Let's not beat around the bush, you know, let's not pretend, let's not polish everything all the time. Like, of course, I still have a preference in behaving a certain way, like I'm not gonna be acting out now or, you know, I still have certain values, like elegance is still very much my preference in aesthetic and in my values, but I don't wanna be rigid, you know, I wanna be flexible in my approach to things. But yeah, I definitely want to have just more authentic experiences. And you know, I think probably that's why I've been spending a lot of time with animals, because if you want to be around honesty, animals are number one for that, because they're like the most honest.
12:58 Animals are self-willed. And of course, what you really want are wild humans around you. That's what everybody wants. Even though it may sound scary at first, In reality, those are the best humans. That's one reason why people like other kind of animals around them.
[video] 13:22 Creatures out there ever. There's no BS when it comes to animals.
13:26 It's because they follow their instinct, their nature. And humans today suppress their nature, not willingly. People are brainwashed to do that.
[video] 13:36 really craving as I am in this stage is meaning and fulfillment and purpose and just spending my time around quality, meaning, prioritizing what matters. I have less patience, less time for BS. I really want to focus my time on what's truly passionate for me, you know, things that I truly care about. I'm 40 years old and I am child free by choice. And I kind of have a bit of a midlife crisis as well. Okay, it's not really.
14:03 There's no such thing as being child free by choice. Except if you're asexual and even then you can argue about it.
14:15 Are you ever intimate with anybody? I would assume that she is. That means that you are trying to reproduce. You're trying to have children. Just because you were brainwashed, manipulated not to have children and to protect yourself against them doesn't mean that you don't want children, that you are child-free by choice. You are trying to reproduce but you were manipulated into doing it but at the same time protecting yourself from what you're doing. That's what people do today. None of those people are child free by choice. They are childless because of enslavement and brainwashing.
[video] 15:07 You cannot evolve to become something. I guess that you could say in some
15:29 simple ways but you are who you are naturally and you do not change overall Your body ages and that changes some things for sure, but your nature and what you want, that never changes. What she's talking about is this mask that she's wearing, this role that she's playing, that's evolving. That's something completely else. Your natural goals, your purpose will always stay the same.
[video] 16:05 was lost, that I was confused and having a bit of a crisis. Some people did write to me and say that they think it's because I don't have children. Now, I thought that was a very interesting comment. So let's talk about that today. A lot of people jump to conclusions and they think that if you are lost, then that means something is missing in your life. You must be unhappy or whatever you're letting go of caused you a lot of unhappiness. There must be something wrong with the past. And that if you are questioning a life path, it's because it's not fulfilling. Now, I want to just pause there for a moment because I think that it's very normal to be lost at different stages of life and question things. And frankly, I think it's pretty...
16:44 In the system? Absolutely. In nature? No. Think about it. Should an animal feel lost? Naturally, as if you don't know what's going on, what you're supposed to do in your life. No, because if you follow nature, which is the only path that you should be following, then you cannot feel empty, unfulfilled. That's impossible.
[video] 17:08 Be healthy, you know, because we don't remain just to be one person the entire lifetime. And therefore, we have to always keep reevaluating ourselves and where we're heading. And we don't always know what we want in life.
17:21 You always know what you want in your life. Always. Just always. Right now, you know exactly what you want to do. You're not allowed to do a lot of that because you live in captivity and you're afraid of doing that because of what people will think about you. That's all true, but you know it. What she means is that she's afraid of saying it out loud, of actually saying that I want to have children before I can't anymore, before my menopause. But what about my channel? I don't know if she's married. I think that she has a husband, as far as I understand.
[video] 18:04 You know what we don't want, because it's sometimes just easier to know what you're going to move away from. But what the future holds, well, that's not always clear. And these things take time to figure out. And so I understand if some people kind of assume and kind of put one plus one together and think like, okay, well, if something is missing in her life, it's definitely children, right? I don't think it is necessarily because maybe a hundred years ago, you know, when we had very simplistic roles, like we all kind of inherited a life purpose. Our life purpose was already kind of built in because everyone was...
18:36 This is not about cultures, traditions, what humans themselves thought of. Think about it in nature. When you want to be intimate, do you think about
18:51 how you're going to pay for the college of the children or anything like that no nothing you're intimate and you have children without thinking about it like all animals because there is nothing to think about maybe if the people around you would be horrible hunters and you would have no food But then you would be losers anyway. Then you would think about having more children. But naturally, generally, that's unheard of. You want to be intimate? You have children always. That's it. It's a no-brainer. It's your intuition.
[video] 19:32 You're supposed to have children. And that's what you did back then. But the modern...
19:38 It's what every animal always did. world is now looking very different we have modernized our society to the point that that's the same as somebody saying that we used to eat raw meat and now we can eat cooked meat or maybe we don't even need meat at all because the culture changed but the culture doesn't change the nature think about it a lion is put into a zoo the lion now gets grass and broccoli, and the lion doesn't reproduce. Is the lion going to be happy living in captivity without any children, eating green leaves and flowers? That's impossible. And you know that. Your environment, the ideas around you, the traditions, cultures, none of that changes your nature. It cannot.
[video] 20:39 We have an abundance of things to occupy ourselves with and to do and to fulfill us with. And so I don't think there is...
20:47 Yes, but that's the thing. It doesn't fulfill you because only nature fulfills you. Everything else that you do is to imitate and replicate what you naturally want. That's why you bought all the clothes, the shoes. And in one of the videos, you could see that she has a dog also.
[video] 21:06 Just one purpose out there.
21:08 I think we can have... No, there is not only one purpose. That's true. Although for women, it's pretty much the main purpose. For men, it's a bit different, but it's also up there in the... Top three.
[video] 21:24 Many purposes in life. As an example, I think that at different life stages, we're going to have different types of purposes. We might also have big purposes. We might have small purposes. Purposes actually come in so many different shapes and forms. And I feel like sometimes people kind of oversimplify it a bit when they say that parenthood is the only kind of legitimate purpose. It's the kind of only legitimate...
21:47 No, that's also over the top. It's not the only one. People who say that are also wrong, but they understand that it's one of your main purposes.
[video] 21:59 ...way of properly being fulfilled. But is that really true? I don't think so.
22:06 Does it really matter what you think if you have never felt it? You can think about it as much as you want, but... If you have never held your baby in your arms, you have never looked into the eyes of your baby, you have never felt the love from your child, you have never heard them say mommy or daddy, and if you have never loved your child because you don't have a child, how can you really talk about a topic you just don't know?
[video] 22:45 If you look at what's available for us to get true fulfillment from, I don't want to dismiss and say that parenthood is not fulfilling, because even if I'm not a parent myself, I can really see that it seems to be incredibly fulfilling. And I think that it's probably an incredible journey if you're into that lifestyle.
23:03 Could you even possibly dismiss something natural? Can you? Give me one example of that. Dismiss anything natural and tell me that it wouldn't be better for you to do what is natural for you. Just give me one example.
[video] 23:21 Now that's the thing that I'm not particularly into that lifestyle. I wish I was to a certain extent because then I feel like my life would be so much easier. Like I said, because then you kind of just have your purpose built in. You kind of just go with the flow, right?
23:34 She said built in. Basically admitting that it's naturally built in, inborn.
[video] 23:41 In my case, I mean, because of my background, because of my story, because of my psychological makeup, like, of course, everything adds up to why I have a bit of ambivalence when it comes to parenthood and why I personally don't feel like, I'm not sure like that lifestyle is really calling me. Like, I don't have the itch like many others do. And luckily, I live in a time where I can actually choose, I can actually reflect of what's right for me. Because imagine how it was like 100 or 200 years ago, when nobody really had the opportunity to think about whether they want to embark on this journey. And I think that created a lot of kind of bad parents, you know, people who generally didn't do a good job at parenting. And that's because maybe this wasn't really the right path for them. But with societal pressure, they were just pressured into it. Now, I do think there is one important element that we have to mention.
24:32 Again, she talks about ideas, but your nature never changes. If she would have had children and if she would have then given them away, then what she says would make sense. She experienced it. She felt what she felt. It wasn't for her. And then she moved on to her man-made path. I've never heard of this. I've never heard of parents who had children, lived with them for years and then gave them away. There may be some cases like that out there. A lot of people have mental issues to say the least. But... It's not what people do. And if people would regret having children, then they would do that. Nowadays it's possible. You can give your children away for adoption. But people don't do that because they don't regret them.
25:32 Because they cannot even imagine a life without them. That's how much they love them. And it would be the same for her. But seeing as she didn't experience it, she has no idea.
[video] 25:46 do with mothering. So not everybody, but many people, many people, including men and women, of course, have an instinct to mother something. Now, what does that mean?
25:58 It basically... Yes, that's why you get dogs and cats. You want to take care of smaller beings, I guess you could say. You simply want to nurture, especially as a woman, of course.
[video] 26:16 means just looking after something outside of yourself, caring for something that is dependent on you. And many of us, if not most of us, have this instinct. Now, if you don't have children, I think it's very important to cater for that instinct in other ways than caring for children.
26:34 Yes, and that's the fallacy. She believes that she can imitate it and then still feel fulfilled. But if you would have actually done what you wanted to, if you would have taken care of your children, you wouldn't have this midlife crisis right now. Everybody who tries to imitate this has the kind of midlife crisis which we see all around us today.
[video] 27:03 because this way you're actually gonna find a lot of fulfillment through mothering other things in your life. Now, which things can you mother in your life? Now you'd be surprised, but there's actually a big variety of things, like everything from mothering other people, like you can be looking after other people, maybe looking after elderly, relatives or your parents, but you can also be mothering through mentoring or teaching or coaching. And that's something that I have been doing here actually.
27:30 Also an interesting point. A lot of people do that because they want to teach their children, the family members,
[video] 27:38 Ways that I feel a lot of fulfillment is actually through my work, because I get to mother all of you ladies. I know it sounds kind of odd, but it gives me a lot of fulfillment that I get to share, you know, my insights, my thing.
27:52 It's also a sort of imitation of that, but still, you ended up unhappy. It's easy to tell from your tone.
[video] 28:00 Then you can also be mothering plants and land and property and animals and pets.
28:07 A lot of women have a lot of plants in their house and they take care of them. It's true.
[video] 28:17 And I mean, honestly, there are so many things you can be mothering. You can also be mothering through creativity.
28:22 Yes, but does it give you anything back? The way nature works is that you do something and very often you also get something back. It's a mutual kind of relationship. That's the case with children, all of your family members. It's how we are programmed. That's how nature functions. And in this case you get nothing. You get something from a dog and a cat, but it's not what you would be naturally getting. That's why it leaves you empty also. It's fake. Her advice is to fake it, but she's against fake people, but you're faking your life, your purpose. Do you think that your plants will love you, care about you when you're 60, when your husband isn't maybe even around anymore?
[video] 29:20 Activity, you know, kind of giving birth to new ideas, to...
29:24 Giving birth to new ideas instead of giving birth to life. Instead of being naturally productive. You work, you follow ideas, you're lost.
[video] 29:38 Beautiful things that you create yourself with your hands can be built.
29:43 The most beautiful thing that you can create are children. There's nothing else.
[video] 29:49 Yeah, that's all cool, but it's nothing in comparison.
[video] 29:57 is a very wide concept. So I think like as long as you tune into that instinct and cater for that, you're gonna bring a lot of fulfillment.
30:06 That's the thing, it's not your instinct. Your instinct is to have children and to take care of them. You're talking about man-made ideas that were implanted in your head. She went on talking about how everyone can find their own purpose. She's in denial, it's clear. I understand that she's 40, maybe she believes that she doesn't have a lot of time left. She would have to admit to all of her viewers and the people around her that she didn't live her life the way she wanted to. It can be scary. I can tell you from my experience that having children is beyond amazing. There is no words for it. But if you haven't experienced it, then how could you possibly know? If you would have, then you would have never created this video. Thanks for watching.
