0:00 Hey guys, what's up? Over the years some of you asked me to watch this movie called Captain Fantastic. I hadn't watched the movie in months and yesterday I just felt like it. I assumed that it's gonna be about a family that lives in nature and I thought that the government is gonna try to mess with them in some way. Those are the only thoughts I that I had going into the movie. I'm gonna analyze if they portrayed a natural family correctly, or at least a family that has been living in nature for a while.

Children of various ages, smeared with black soot, emerge from the forest accompanied by their father, Ben Cash, who announces... Today the boy is dead, and in his place is a man. He then feeds the hunter the liver of the freshly killed animal.

It makes no sense. They are disconnected from reality, from nature. But of course, in reality, when it comes to carrying an animal, even if it's cut into parts,

They also cook the meat. That's understandable. It's not as if they are trying to portray a completely natural family. These are simply people who used to live in civilization and then move to nature. And then, of course, you adapt to nature naturally. You are a natural being, it's just that nowadays you're brainwashed and that's why you're different when you live in civilization.

They would never, of course, give them books. They would never tell them to listen to other people and absorb the information and opinions from other people.

They were pointing at people who were overweight.

[video] 8:11 Turn to the bus. Soon, a police officer stops them and asks for documents. Checking the license, he inquires, No school today. And goes to inspect the bus. The situation is saved by Bo, who starts reading religious texts and says they are homeschooled. The children sing hymns and the officer hurries away.

8:25 Yes, this was a funny scene. And what it highlights is that in the system, religious people are seen as innocent, as good people, because they would never do anything. And wild people, self-willed, People, that's what wild means, as I have explained before, natural humans, any animals, those kind of animals will do what they want to do, because they follow their own will. And those kind of animals are dangerous, very dangerous for the system. And that's why religious people are seen as the opposite, because they kind of are, delusionally in their heads, because they are brainwashed. They are the opposite of natural people, and that's why the police officer doesn't want to bother with them.

That's how wine used to be, technically speaking. you could drink it even if you were young back in the day the way it was it was simply fermented grape juice nothing special not disgusting the way it is today And that's funny because the kids of this family, they were playing video games imitating what the other kids actually do in their real life.

That's how the system is built. But when you want something done, even in a church, then you still use force because that's how you actually achieve something. Suddenly, the father accuses him of lying in secrecy, and Bo confesses. It was Mom. I just want to go to college. Ben is stunned knowing his son speaks six languages, advanced mathematics and physics. What else can he be taught? But the son becomes furious. I don't know anything about anything!

[video] 22:20 Later, he receives a note from his youngest son, who ran away to live with his grandparents. Seeing his father come for him, Relian accuses him of killing his mother. You killed mom! I heard you fighting about where we live. Mom wanted to leave. Ben tries to prove to his son that they made the decision together with Leslie, but the boy is determined to stay with his grandparents. Ben orders him to pack, but the boy shouts insults and runs away. Ben follows, but an arrow lands right next to him. This is Jack stopping his son-in-law. They're gonna be totally unprepared for the real world.

23:18 That scene didn't really make sense. Even if she would have knocked on the window or whatever their plan was, the boy wouldn't have went with them anyway.

At the end of today, it has no meaning. The human being is dead. They don't exist anymore. Whatever.

What didn't make sense about this movie is that in the end, for no real reason, all of a sudden, they cut off their beards, the long hair. Ben didn't cut off his hair, the father, but then again, he didn't have such long hair. Maybe if he would have been portrayed with longer hair, He would have been shown with a shaved head in the last shot. Who knows? They oftentimes do this.

They wanted to be good civilians. And then he sends the children to school. Why? Why not homeschool them if you want to live in a house? And what made no sense at all is that he gave them corn flakes and other seeds. They were eating meat before that? They hunted their own animals, maybe ate some berries, fruits and whatever they could find, but presumably they were eating animal-based. And then all of a sudden they become normal citizens who eat seeds and go to school.

29:29 It doesn't make sense just because... The daughter fell from the roof? So what? Where's the connection? That has nothing to do with the system as such. It's just an accident that could always happen. It's as if the creators of the movie kind of did some research about how it would be to live in nature, but they got a lot wrong. And then at the end, it's as if their message was, but living in this Sikh society is better after all. But what exactly would be better? for the children, for the father. Now the son flies to Namibia to have some fun there. The children get brainwashed in school. They are taught not to think, not to question anything. That's what you learn in school. To never think, to become dumb essentially.
