0:00 I am going to be reviewing Chris Bumstead's latest video called This Morning Routine Won Me Six Olympias.
0:15 Some toxic seed powder to start the day.
[video] 0:28 Wow, he looks very exhausted. Officially he's 31, but biologically he's around 50 at least.
0:32 It's bad.
0:47 It won you six Olympias. Where are these Olympias?
[video] 0:52 Of course over the years, but this was like the consistent things that I did that really helped me just lock in and focus for the day and for prep. Back then it was about achieving the Olympia.
1:01 Now it's about... How can you achieve something that doesn't exist? Explain that.
[video] 1:09 I'm trying to become who I am. It's currently 5.30 in the morning. Wake up before the children are awake, when the birds are chirping, before the things are stirring. Your mind just feels a little bit calmer. I always start with a little morning walk.
1:20 Why do you want calmness if you promote stressing your body, suffering? Calmness should be bad then.
[video] 1:31 In the light and then do a little cardio. So I'm going to take a walk, get on the treadmill and update you over there. What's motivating you to bring the morning routine back? I feel like when I retired from competing, I stopped doing a lot of things that made me better. Not because they weren't working, but just because I didn't have the Olympia. And it just became so clear to me that it was a lot.
1:47 You never had the Olympia. The Olympia was always in your mind. You imagined it for all of those years. easier to have discipline when you had a huge goal and when you had a deadline but actually yes but these goals are not even your own you probably watched arnold schwarzenegger as a child or some other brainwashed guy and that's why you started doing all of that You went against your nature, which is why it automatically cannot be your own goals, obviously, seeing as your own goals are natural and you already know them. You suppressed your real natural goals, and then you started using drugs and pushing and pulling metal for no reason, just to achieve something in your mind. It's nothing real. It doesn't exist.
[video] 2:40 Choosing to have discipline just for the sake of building self-respect and self-trust and just feeling more organized.
2:48 Yes, discipline is you going against your nature. And when you are following these imaginary goals, which other humans thought of, it's just ideas, then of course you will be disciplined. Seeing as if you're doing something that's unnatural for you, then discipline is required. If you do what is good for you, what makes you healthy, strong, and so on, then you don't need any discipline because you will be doing what you want to do. It's as simple as that.
[video] 3:21 like centered and aligned in your life is so important to everyone and it's a slow drift away from like i feel good because i'm doing all these things oh well i don't need to set an alarm anymore i don't need to take a cold shower i don't need to go for a walk outside i don't need to do anything that one little thing at a time you never needed to do any of that you were manipulated to do it well you just like drift away from like that confident self-trusted man that i used to be into like this kind of like lesser version, I guess. And it happens so slowly. That's what people don't realize. It happens to fucking anybody. So you gotta choose every day to lock back in.
3:55 And the morning is like the... To lock back in into what? Going against your nature? Which is what defines you as a man? Meaning that you're actually weak? It's the very definition of weakness when you go against your nature. And he doesn't get it.
[video] 4:19 vehicle for that. Yes.
4:30 Why does he walk outside in the sun and then on this hamster wheel, pretty much? Makes no sense.
[video] 4:47 coolest thing that i feel like i used to do that i didn't talk about a whole lot was when i would do my cardio the first i took a 20 minute walk and then the first 20 25 minutes i wouldn't allow myself to look at my phone minus the specific 24 7 meditation music that was on youtube just the first thing that would come up i put my headphones in i would cheat i put my hands there close my eyes and i'd walk and i would visualize the point where i was at in prep all the way to stepping on stage and giving my
5:11 Exactly. You need to constantly try to convince yourself that what you're doing is important, that it's not as if you're suffering really badly. No, no, this is all for a good cause. And then you win in the end, and that's all imaginary, seeing as none of it exists. The Olympia, the trophies have no worth. And then... you still feel empty, obviously, in the end. And then you do it again and again. And now, even though he stopped all of that, he still continues torturing his body. And you listen to music, you imagine something, you watch some kind of video. Some people do that all just to distract yourself from what you're doing. And you do that because you hate what you're doing. And that's what it's all about.
6:08 just constantly imagining that you're somewhere else doing something else. If that's what you're doing in your everyday life, then shouldn't you think about changing what you're doing? How about doing what you are imagining? If you are on a treadmill and you imagine being in a park, laying in the sun afterwards, why not simply go to the park instead? Why not simply skip that? You don't do it because you're simply brainwashed. There's no other reason for it.
[video] 6:45 And I would just sit there and I would like walk through what each prep would look like. I would watch myself waking up every week, looking better, looking on point, getting to the Olympia, training with my coach, whether it be Ian or Hani down there, going to the check-ins, going to the weigh-ins, going to the press conference, being backstage, getting tanned, like all the things, I would just visualize it and it would get to the point where I'd be on stage and I would like hear Bob Chigurhlo's name, calling my name like, and still you're, two, three, four, five, six times Mr. Olympia and I would like get chills on the treadmill and then I would like see myself going up there and like giving a speech and I'd have tears coming down my eyes some days just like sitting here like this by myself at 5 a.m. doing cardio just like not just visualizing but literally feeling what it would feel like to win the Olympia that year. That therapist who like walked me through doing it to try to like ease my like anxiety and nerves that I had about going on stage.
7:28 It's an absolute mental illness because you're trying to achieve something that doesn't exist, as I said before, but you actually truly believe that it's real, which is why you torture your body, you go through all of the suffering, you reduce your lifespan by decades just to do what? Stand in front of some people imagining that you want something.
[video] 7:58 It works so well. Like when I tell you, like when your body feels like it's experienced something emotionally, even before it's actually happened, you just feel more confident doing it and you're just more likely to achieve it. It's hard to explain in two words how strong that felt.
8:14 Strong, even though it's the very definition of weakness. Going against your instincts is weakness. Imagining something that doesn't even exist and trying to achieve that is weakness and stupidity also. And overall, you can call it a mental illness.
[video] 8:34 And it's something I never really took to apply to other areas of my life. When I had like a big talk or a seminar or a Q&A or something like that, sometimes I would do that. But it's something I'm like realizing that you can apply to the small things in life. You're like, why can't I change this? Like, why am I reactive in these situations? Why am I anxious in these situations? If you really can like access that part of yourself that is confident in the situation to show them how you want and feel what it feels like and walk yourself through that, it's kind of like you've already done it when you got there. So that was a huge way that helped me also get through 25 minutes of cardio.
9:05 Exactly. To get through it. Meaning that it goes against your nature to do it. It doesn't feel good. Only what is good for you feels good. What is bad for you always feels bad. And that's why cardio feels so bad. The more cardio you do, the more you will stretch out your heart and eventually you will experience heart failure. If you do it enough, if you run marathons, for example.
[video] 9:32 Run some anime, watch Naruto, Demon Slayer, something cool. And that was my reward for getting to that point.
9:39 Exactly, the reward. Do you need a reward when you do something that is good for you? No, because what you're doing is already the reward.
[video] 9:49 Go off to breakfast, so... The best time of the day was stepping off that thing, but he still doesn't realize
10:08 that it's bad for him. It doesn't seem like it. He talks about it as if he really achieved something. He just walked or ran on the spot for no reason at all.
[video] 10:22 Usually only got to an hour at once of cardio and then go and eat breakfast. You're just like, finally food. You're just like stomach grumbling on there. These were before the time their body builders were taking GLP.
10:32 It's all about going against your intuition.
[video] 10:35 We just have to suffer in our hunger.
[video] 10:43 smoothie looking like these days morning smoothie i dimmed it a little bit because i'm gonna have my prep breakfast but it used to be i would make a smoothie i cheated here i wouldn't have had peanut butter and prep but like i'm not a prep right now i don't like peanut butter peanut butter is simply slime made out of legumes peanuts are legumes but i have a scoop of protein i would either do i did dark chocolate probably 95 of the days in my prep that i had Other than that, like cookies and cream or something, but dark chocolate with my coat. Some creatine, some fiber.
11:16 Creatine, it's made out of petroleum, coal, and limestone. It differs, but those are the main ingredients and they are treated with all kinds of acidic, harmful chemicals.
11:38 It's a toxic substance made in a laboratory, and people actually consume that nowadays. That's why it tastes. so bad. I've never tasted it myself, but I've watched many videos and people who actually tried say that they need to spit it out right away because of how horrible it tastes, and that's because it's toxic. It has an LD50 value, only toxic substances have an LD50 value, but that's not even relevant because you can already taste that it's a toxic chemical made in a laboratory.
[video] 12:08 A banana, ice, later on prep the banana, I'll take it away, put it on prep, so I put the banana in,
[video] 12:15 I would make a little bit of oats and eggs. Is there, like, a macro that you prioritize in the morning? Not really, honestly. In prep specifically, by the end, everything was just low-carb, low-fat. It was making sure I got, like, 50 grams of protein in, like, six times a day at least. I would try and just put my carbs around when I was training. So I didn't always train right after in the morning. Sometimes I would train, like, three meals later in the day so I had a little bit more food in me. And, like, peak prep when I was, like, exhausted, it would be, like, breakfast, nap,
[video] 12:46 Yes, they sleep 12 to 14 hours a day and then they nap during the day, meaning that they are asleep most of the day. Naturally, if you're a strong and healthy human, you should sleep 6 to 8 hours.
13:20 Yes, that's what a slave's life revolves around. Always imagining living a different kind of life, doing something else, because you're going against your nature constantly. That's why you play video games, watch anime, some kind of movies, TV shows. Sports are also all about that. You always want to do something else. And that's why you just sit and imagine that.
[video] 13:49 Like not on my phone until that point in cardio where I would flip it on and then it would rip through the rest of that episode of breakfast. And that was the morning, essentially. Sometimes I'd go take a nap. Sometimes I'd go shower again.
[video] 14:12 until you're down to like just eggs.
14:14 Simply seed slime and oats sprayed with glyphosate. The food really doesn't matter seeing as it was all about the drugs anyway.
[video] 14:24 The one egg in for me was in the last week or two.
[video] 14:32 There's like a famous quote about like starting your day off with the wind and like making your bed in the morning and that being your first one.
14:39 It's insane that he's way younger than me.
[video] 14:42 That's like the cold shower, the cardio you don't want to do, getting up from your alarm when it's like, oh, I just want to snooze this. So you can see that as a winner.
14:49 His hands also look very old. If you would only judge his age by his hands right now, you would probably guess that he's around 60 or 70. That's how bad it is.
[video] 15:06 Well, a hundred percent, I guess how you define it, but that's the big thing for me. And I feel like for me now, it's like understanding that I don't need an Olympia to live like that. Whereas before I feel like achievement was my big value that I was chasing. Like I want to achieve, I want to win the Olympia. So I'm aligning my actions with that. And now the goal is general alignment, which means I have a set of standards that I live by and I align myself with them because it's who I am. So that I feel like that transition of like, I'm doing something for achievement versus I'm doing something because it's who I am. It's part of my identity. I feel like that's...
15:34 This guy is living a completely imaginary life. Somebody needs to go up to him, shake him, and actually ask him, where is the Olympia, Chris? Can you show it to us? And then he will think, well, actually... I can't show it to you because it was in my mind all along. And then you need to explain to him that he's living a fake life, that he used very strong drugs for years, that he's a junkie, that he pushed and pulled metal for no reason like a slave, that he reduced his lifespan by decades just to achieve nothing. just to go after something that never existed. And when you realize that, your whole life falls apart. And that's why these people go into absolute denial.
16:33 They don't want to realize any of that.
[video] 16:37 lasting and maybe it may not be as dramatic but that's something that's actually sustainable to like fill you up and drive you and you build things that you realize make you feel good you sit back and you should define what are the standards that are important to me what values do i want to uphold and am i actually actually are my actions actually aligning with them or am i leaning too much into the comfortable easy thing like sleeping in eating whatever i want skipping cardio warm showers
17:01 warm showers. No, we need to do cold showers. We always need to do what we hate, what makes us unhealthy and reduces our lifespan, because this is what life is all about. Don't do what humans do in nature. Don't do what all animals do. Don't seek comfort, health and happiness. Simply suffer, feel pain, go against your deepest instincts.
[video] 17:38 Even his buddies in Kensington look better than him. As we can see, he hates doing it so much.
17:57 He even hates lifting these smaller weights. And he still does it just because of the brainwashing. There is no other reason.
18:12 You really need to understand that a human being will never go against his or her intuition unless they are brainwashed, unless they have been manipulated. Because if you live intuitively, then you will always do what is good for you. You will never do what is bad for you. Why would you? There's no reason to do that. No animal does that.
18:41 As I said before, he probably watched Arnold Schwarzenegger as a child. He imagined how he will stand on this stage and how people will judge the way he looks like, his unnatural physique, which you can only achieve by being an absolute junkie. And he imagined that then he will feel fulfilled. In reality, Arnold Schwarzenegger had multiple heart surgeries. He would have died in his 50s already. If he didn't, he is one of the unhealthiest people on earth.
[video] 19:23 Our last part of this workout, some deep stretch in the tricep and bicep. I'm doing a 35 degree incline bicep curl. This is like a load you can get doing this.
19:33 Realizing that you looked up to a junkie who would have died in his 50s because of his drug addiction doesn't sound that nice. These junkies don't really want to talk about that. let alone actually realize it for themselves. Now we will listen to a speech from his latest Day in the Life video.
[video] 19:59 At first I was like, oh cool, I can sleep until like 6.15 today, because Bradley slept in, but eventually you're just like, oh, I don't care at all, like this sucks, I want to like restrain myself for a bit, wake up every day to an alarm at 5.30, and then maybe once a month I'm like... you know what, it's Sunday. I'm going to wake up at 6.30 this morning. And you're like, this feels great. This is the next leg. But you wouldn't enjoy that if you're doing it every day. So it's just this weird principle, especially in our world now, and I stand by this so firmly, that if you're not consciously choosing to restrict the things that you want, you will feel worse long term.
20:32 You will feel worse if you do what you want to do. That's essentially what he's saying. The opposite of the truth. That's how brainwashed he is. That's not just brainwashing. That is a mental illness.
[video] 20:48 Because it's that short-term pleasure versus delayed gratification.
20:50 I really think... Short-term pleasure. No, it's literally long-term pleasure. Because if you do what you want to do, you will feel long-term pleasure. You will be happy and healthy. And now this guy is unhealthy and unhappy, as we can see.
[video] 21:07 The biggest, most fucked up thing of our entire generation is going to be that we don't understand how to actively choose to do hard things. Because...
21:14 But that's what everybody is doing. The gym is really popular nowadays because of people like you. People constantly go against their nature. And that's why everybody is so depressed.
[video] 21:32 As I'm talking about too much modern day comfort. Okay, air conditioning installed in my gym.
21:38 What a fucking ironic day. Exactly, he contradicted himself. No animal wants to experience hardship. discomfort. But modern brainwashed humans believe that if you suffer and experience pain, what you don't want, then you will become stronger. The opposite of the truth, obviously, because biologically, the more hardship you experience, the weaker you will become. That's nature 101.
[video] 22:11 God's like, you pussy.
[video] 22:15 Our last two exercises here, doing some abduction. So a lot of glutes today with the hip thrust. Reverse hyper, abductor machine, abductor machine. And then I'm doing some oblique crunches on this. I never remember what the machines were called.
22:29 Yes, and if you do crunches, then you become better at what? At doing crunches, which are useless. You cannot do anything with that in this actual reality. But as far as your actual strength and vitality goes, as a human being, you only become weaker. Only, obviously. You become sicker, slower, you're exhausted, you sleep longer. Actually, as a man, you basically become useless. from nature's perspective.
[video] 23:02 What about you? Are you content with your life? What's going on?
[video] 23:07 I think part of me is missing a bit of a journey. The goal, progress, a lack of comfort. I've just been enjoying my life.
23:17 What? And we can see how he hates his life in all of the videos.
[video] 23:25 And after a while, just enjoying it is like kind of like cool, you know, like sick.
23:30 He doesn't even know what joy is. Has he felt any joy in the last years? I don't know. i'm grateful i get to spend i spend so much time with my family which like i don't ever want to give up that but it's just like too like comfortable you know i feel like people don't wouldn't and all that he shows in his videos it's not as if i watch his videos but in the last one is how he is in pain constantly stressed it's all about chronic stress not enjoying your life
[video] 24:08 I don't understand what we're saying either. It's so out of touch. You're like, oh my God, these guys are living the very thing I want. Which we're not complaining about it by any means. We're just giving insight on sometimes you lose just like... You're competing every year, show after show. Yeah, we're in a different position. You're also like, how old are you, 30? 30, yeah. 30, yeah. I love my life. I'm just saying, like, I love my life. I love my family. I love my freedom. But I miss having something I'm like...
24:34 He loves his freedom, even though he goes to a building and pushes and pulls metal for no reason at all, just because he's brainwashed. Freedom means to do what you want to do, whatever you want to do. That's true freedom. And nobody is experiencing that nowadays, except for some people on an island. But... His life is the definition of a slave life. You cannot even be more of a slave. He doesn't even know what freedom feels like. Driven to work towards. Like the Olympia that was there for so long for me.
[video] 25:14 Create a new business or something.
25:17 Businesses don't exist. None of it will ever fulfill you.
[video] 25:21 I don't know. That's not the same. Yeah, you could do that. That's the big thing right now is running. You guys want to do it with me? Let's do it.
25:30 mikey mikey's cardiovascular i don't know if i think he can handle that i don't think i can handle it either that joints couldn't even handle it i'll play some rugby or like you know i mean like something i don't have to run miles their options are to imagine a business which doesn't exist to run around in a circle or for tons of kilometers which is what you do when you run a so-called marathon, which also doesn't exist. You cross a line and then you imagine that you won a marathon or you lift weights for no reason. It's all slave activities. It's all bullshit, but that's all that slaves can think of.
[video] 26:13 My mom's like, short sprints, I'm good at. I love wrestling. 15 seconds of running. I think I would do wrestling. Like, I want to try and become good. Like, not Larry Wheels, like, do it for some clips. Like, I want to actually, like, do that shit. Like, on my own time. Are they testing that? Are you allowed to show up to the local wrestling school? Like, just juiced out of your mind? That'd be great. Take some methyltrim before a match, you're fucking winning. There's still, like, 10-year-old kids that you come in, you got to, like, fucking spar with them in the match.
26:39 Imagine a king living inside of a castle and a slave living outside of the castle. The king would eat the organs of the animals. He would drink the blood. The slaves would maybe get some of the muscle meat. They would eat a lot of seeds. They would try to make food out of the seeds, they would create slime out of the seeds, and then they would bake it. That's how they would create bread. And then they would imagine that they are eating food, while in reality they would be eating slime made out of seeds. Maybe the king would eat some fruits from the forest, which the slaves would, for the most part, get for the king. If he would want to do it himself, then he would do it whenever he wants to.
27:37 He would enjoy the sunlight while the slaves would work inside. They would do all of the hard work. The king would never do it. The king would have warm water. He would take warm baths. The slaves would bathe in cold water.
28:03 The point is that the slaves wouldn't have an enjoyable life because they would be doing all of the hard work. The king would enjoy his life, all of his children would be healthier, bigger, taller, stronger than any of the slaves. But nowadays, people believe that they are free. that they can do whatever they want to. But then when you look at what they are actually doing, you will realize that they live exactly like all of the slaves used to live. doing what they hate. But when you talk a slave into believing that what he hates is good for him, then you will have a slave who will do that for the rest of his short life. Thanks for watching.
