0:00 hey what's up as requested i'm going to be reviewing this video called am i lonely living by myself in a tiny house do i ever get lonely living in a tiny house i get that question quite a lot
[video] 0:29 I take it because I live a very different lifestyle than most people, spending most of my time alone.
0:36 Yes, and that's because people don't choose to be alone.
[video] 0:43 Well, not totally alone though, because I have my dog.
0:47 That's exactly what I mean. He is with the dog because he wants to be with humans. Women nowadays buy a lot of cats and dogs, puppies, because they want babies, children so much.
[video] 1:06 But most of my life passes by in my own company, when I build my own house, harvest my own food in the garden or even go on vacation to remote places.
[video] 1:17 far from the stereotypical life with a wife, children, two cars, a house in the suburbs and a big mortgage.
1:25 Here he mixes modern things with what is natural. Obviously, living in the suburbs or man-made building and going to a job every day or five times a week isn't normal for a human being naturally, but creating children, reproducing is super normal. It's completely natural.
2:00 We'll see what he says, but it seems like he believes that he's going against the mainstream, maybe, but in reality, he's actually going against himself.
[video] 2:14 And while I will admit that I sometimes can miss sharing more of my life with the ones who are closest to me, or even building my life with a significant other, I generally do not feel lonely. Despite the fact that I spend so much time alone, when most of my friends are busy building families, go to work with colleagues, and live in populated urban areas.
[video] 2:40 I think it comes down to the realization that being alone and loneliness can be two very different things.
[video] 2:48 You can be surrounded by people yet still feel alone, and you can be totally alone yet feel that you are in the best company.
2:54 Yes, you can be surrounded by people and still feel alone. That's true nowadays because of how disconnected people are. Cities are unnatural. It doesn't feel like you are surrounded by people who love you, your family, obviously. It's strangers basically, but you cannot feel as if you are with people when you are not together with people. That's a delusion because if they are physically not there, then you are literally not with people. That's the problem here. He lives in his imagination too much, people who are alone. or generally go against nature, try to cope. But it's impossible to cope because it's delusional, this whole mindset that you can make the best out of a bad situation.
3:55 It will never work.
[video] 3:58 So maybe it's not so much about surrounding yourself with people all the time, but more about the relationship that you have with yourself.
[video] 4:08 and what your view of the ideal life looks like. And indeed why it looks like this.
4:15 Your view of the ideal life is completely irrelevant. Your view doesn't matter. Only nature matters. Nature dictates everything in this reality. You can go along with nature or you can go against it. He is going against it. And that's why his suffering. You can tell it by the tone of his voice alone.
4:53 Also listen to the background music. I assume that he edits his own videos because it's not a huge channel, meaning that he sits down, does these voiceovers, and then he also chooses the music himself. And the music that you listen to says a lot about you. It really says incredibly much about you. And when you choose this kind of music for your videos, and I checked out some of the other videos, it seems like he always uses the same kind of music, then you know exactly what's going on in his mind.
[video] 5:30 Society and the culture we live in sometimes shape us in ways that we don't even realize.
[video] 5:37 There seems to be a certain urge in society to be social so you don't get FOMO. Social media wants us to be online and available all the time and many seem to hinge their self-esteem and social status on the superficial display of material things that give them social proof.
[video] 5:53 Like having the newest car, the newest iPhone... Mint is poisonous.
5:59 He's right about some of the things that he says, but You shouldn't be going against what you want intuitively. You can go against the society, the mainstream. I'm all for that. But don't go against nature.
[video] 6:17 The right clothes or even the biggest house on the block.
6:26 I hope that he's not going to eat that now. All of these green leaves are poisonous and inedible.
[video] 6:35 Human nature as social creatures in a modern society has been hijacked by a system that needs you to buy and get more stuff so that you can feel normal and as a valuable member of society.
[video] 6:48 But what if you don't feel that you fit into the system? Does that mean that you don't belong in society or that you are inherently antisocial?
[video] 6:58 Of course not, but maybe the question is more about how you want to be social in order for you to have a good life.
[video] 7:10 Exploring this question has been a very big thing for me for the last five years since I left the rat race to go live in a tiny house.
[video] 7:18 I have often wondered how can I challenge the ideas and expectations that I have to myself that, to some extent, have been instilled in me since childhood by society. In particular, ideas about what your life should look like when you are at a certain age.
7:33 When you are alone, you can think much clearer about your life, the way you have been programmed. But it seems like he believes that what is natural for humans also comes from this society, the programming, and that's not the case.
[video] 7:53 Ideas like this have always felt like a straitjacket to me.
[video] 7:58 and yet it's so damn hard to set yourself apart from them when everyone around you seems to do something else and also seem to make all the quote right choices in life.
8:08 It's interesting that he talks about this while at the same time chopping up man-made fruits and vegetables and even some green leaves which he doesn't even want to eat intuitively. Your nature tells you not to do that. It's just kind of ironic.
[video] 8:29 Getting a good, well-paying job and a life partner and also a family at 25.
8:35 Again, at 25, that would actually be late, naturally speaking. Better late than never, of course.
[video] 8:46 Or maybe 30.
[video] 8:49 And you're just carving out your own lane that takes you further and further away from the trodden path and from other people. but from the onset I felt that this was indeed a very important journey for me to go on, not just because I wanted to be a loner and go live in a forest forever, but because I sensed... Are they not allowed to hunt there or does he simply not do it because of programming?
9:17 It's just strange that he sort of talks about natural living but at the same time, he eats the most modern garbage food, which adds to the depression and maybe even defines it because as you can hear, the tone of his voice is really telling you how he feels. I'm living here alone and I'm going against what society wants from me and everything is good.
[video] 9:50 That exploring and building the relationship that I have.
9:54 Not some seed oils. What was that man? Come on.
[video] 9:59 With myself takes time and a lot of effort. And also that no matter how I choose to live my life in the future and with whom, I need to build a solid foundation first so that I know who I am, what I want.
10:12 You can see the tripod, the shade.
10:19 Also, why would you make videos online about this topic? It's possible. Parsley is super poisonous, by the way. But isn't it because you want to reach out to people? Probably, right? Because you want to be around people. That's also why you have the dog, as I said.
10:45 Just to be clear, I'm simply saying that if somebody would really want to be alone, and if they would want to find themselves, which is what these people always say, then you would just go and live in the woods. You wouldn't have contact with anybody, no dogs, cats. You wouldn't be making videos. But in reality, deep down, I guess that this feeling has been suppressed for him. Of course, you want to be around people, naturally.
[video] 11:19 It just takes a little longer than most people, I guess.
11:30 some cooked poisonous green leaves from outside and then just man-made vegetables and fruits, which he bought in a supermarket, I assume. Even if he grows all of this, none of this exists in nature, the fruits and the vegetables. Those have been cultivated.
12:06 It just seems depressing. What do you think? Does this seem like a good life? Sitting alone there? And it's summer now. Then it's somewhat enjoyable, maybe, because you're in the sun. It could be worse, but in winter, sitting there under a grey sky, eating green leaves, or maybe something else, I assume, in winter... Even if he would be hunting, the loneliness can be even worse than eating garbage food. But when you combine the garbage man-made poisonous food with the loneliness, then it's a disaster. This is a nightmare.
13:07 It took me some time to realize that I'm actually having a bigger house in the woods with some dogs who you hunt with and lots of children would be fine. That kind of a life is pretty all right. But what is this?
[video] 13:32 An introvert. And to me, that means that I'm charging my batteries only in my own company. And it means that I'm not willing to give up my silence and my peace that easily.
13:44 I also bet that he always checks the comments because he wants human contact so much.
[video] 13:56 However, I do enjoy spending time with others.
13:59 It's pretty beautiful there. Wow, I like it.
[video] 14:03 I always need some time for myself afterwards.
[video] 14:09 But even that can be hard for some people to comprehend. It just falls outside of the social norm to be a loner.
14:16 And there is a bit of a stigma. It's not social norms that you're talking about. It's human nature. which are basically opposites because the social norms are manmade. They can have some influence from human nature, obviously, but for the most part, you are talking about artificial rules that people follow.
[video] 14:45 Around being alone, like there is something wrong with you. And sometimes it feels like that society has been made by social people and for social people.
[video] 14:55 And people can sometimes give you those pitiful eyes and say things like, there is someone for everyone, while not realizing that they condescend somewhat, despite their good intentions. Because why is the social setup that you have in your life better than the one that I have in my life? Is it just because most people have partners and families?
[video] 15:14 I guess the downside of democratic thinking and some major belief systems can be that they tend to create an in-group mentality that excludes and otherwise other people who stick out and are different.
[video] 15:27 and often seem to equip members of the larger group with the moral bullets to take a shot at you just for being you.
[video] 15:35 How often have I not heard people suggesting to me that I should do and live much more like them and the majority because it's so much better.
[video] 15:46 Let's just call it the tyranny of the majority that suppresses other ways of living than the mainstream and I have always just found it a bit unreasonable.
15:57 As I said, he believes that he's going against the so-called mainstream. But in reality, partly, he's going against his own nature. And that's why he's suffering. That's why you can hear the pain in his voice.
[video] 16:14 Because if you believe in freedom and who doesn't, then why should everyone not have the freedom to be just as they are?
16:24 You can absolutely do whatever you want to do as long as you realize what you want to do. And you don't. That's why you eat fake food also. You don't realize what you want to eat. Humans in nature eat raw meat. They hunt down animals and they eat them raw. They drink the blood. They eat organs. That's just one example of you not realizing what you really want to do.
16:58 And to be honest, I can sometimes be a... And berries are also fine, of course.
[video] 17:04 ...a bit unsure whether people who really want you to comply with the group rules also truly have an authentic relationship with themselves.
[video] 17:18 Did they ever truly test themselves up against the rules of the group, or did they just tackle...
17:22 It's interesting how when you give dogs other kind of liquids, raw milk for example, they never want to drink water, but all animals will drink water if there's nothing else available.
[video] 17:36 ...long because it was the easy way.
[video] 17:45 But anyways, I guess my point is that being introverted is just another way of being a natural human being, despite what- Oh my god, no, you didn't just say that.
17:56 What? How does that make any sense? If being introverted would be normal, then humans would simply die out. You are not reproducing, your bloodline will essentially die with you. Other people might think.
18:39 Actually, this is a very interesting shot because as you can see, these animals stay together. They don't want to be alone.
18:53 He probably doesn't even realize the sort of irony here.
[video] 19:05 This tiny house adventure that I'm on is like a coming of age part two kind of journey in my life. The first was when I went to school for 18 years and after that lived a normal work life in the city.
[video] 19:19 The second began in 2020 with me going tiny and having to start all over again, learning the necessary life skills to live a different and maybe more authentic life.
[video] 19:30 And even though it does come with a lot of alone time and also self-doubt to embark on such a journey, the funny thing is that it can also come with something unexpected. New friends and company who understand you better and who are a much better fit for you.
19:46 Who does he mean? The viewers? The subscribers? Then it proves what I meant before.
[video] 19:54 Looking back on my childhood, I often felt quite lonely in a crowd of strangers because I was so different from most people.
[video] 20:02 I felt liked by most people, but seldomly understood very well, so pretty quickly I got used to doing most things on my own and not expecting anything from anyone. Creating an even greater gap between me and quote normal people, because I was the obvious outsider.
[video] 20:20 And I actually felt like that for many years, paradoxically until I started building a tiny house to go live there alone, then new people started popping up in my life.
[video] 20:32 People that were a lot like me and seemed to understand my motivations much better.
[video] 20:44 And now several of these people have a place in my heart and in my life in ways where it's almost impossible for me to truly feel alone.
20:53 That doesn't make any sense unless they are actually there with him in real life. If they visit him, okay, maybe. But if he simply imagines that they feel this emptiness in his heart, then he's delusional. He's not living in this physical reality because if there's nobody there with you physically, then of course you will feel alone because you are alone.
[video] 21:26 ...that I've learned so much about myself and who I am and that I actually enjoy my own company. And that there is absolutely nothing wrong with hanging out with yourself or choose to live a more lonesome life if that's what you prefer. The problem is actually not you, but the societal norms that dictate a certain way of living, even though people are very different.
[video] 21:51 Not everyone are geared to be social all the time, and not everyone, like me, can only charge the batteries when they are alone.
[video] 22:00 But I guess my point is, that taking the time in life to truly discover who you are, can lead to a less lonely life. not only because you get to attract people who are more like you, but also because you enjoy your own company better when you know yourself better.
22:15 This is another video that he posted.
[video] 22:18 He talked about how people in a modern society seems to be overly focused on working, not to find true meaning, but to buy stuff. But the thing is that the things you own end up owning you. And before you know,
22:30 Again, some of the stuff that he says is correct, but the meaning of your life is not something that you search for and then find. You already know it. And he's too lost to realize that.
[video] 22:53 Not running from yourself, but getting to know who you actually are when all the noise dies down.
[video] 23:01 and then see what emerges from that, what thoughts, what emotions and what dreams.
[video] 23:09 For me, it has taken a lot of courage.
[video] 23:14 But I find a meaning in it because I have grown from it.
23:19 He found a meaning in it because he grew from it. From what exactly? Is he talking about the pain that he feels while being alone there in the woods? That's what it sounds like. Typically, when people say that they grew because of something, then they are talking about some kind of trauma, pain. Even when people go to the gym and grow, age, then they are talking about pain and suffering. And now he found a meaning.
[video] 24:05 Learned lessons about honesty and forgiveness.
[video] 24:11 Like the fact that I've always dreamt about establishing a family. And now I know that even if that will never happen, I still know that I can have a good life.
[video] 24:22 And also forgiving myself for the chances I let slip or people I hurt.
[video] 24:32 I'm the only one that I will spend my entire life with, so it's important for me that that is an honest and worthwhile relationship.
24:42 Oh, that sounds really sad. And again, the tone of his voice hasn't changed.
[video] 24:56 yeah, it's fine that I can do stuff that I like and be out here in nature, and it's fine that I can earn some money from YouTube and presentations, but having that connection to other people who really seem to get you and also who are supportive of you, like, emotionally. Like, my friends, they're taken aback about how supportive you are as a community, like, the level of engagement and the... That's exactly what I meant before, the engagement, the comments, likes...
25:26 It's all fake.
[video] 25:27 Warmth and love that you express...
25:31 Warmth and love? Come on.
[video] 25:36 ...sent to me and my dog Bussymart. It's very, very... Yeah, I'm very touched by it, actually. Even though it's not something that I talk about regularly on this channel, it's still a very important aspect of this entire journey for me. So I just wanted to say thank you for that. It's very special. So, but anyways, thank you so much for watching this video. I really hope you enjoyed it and maybe even found some inspiration. See you again next time. Bye.
25:58 Let's be real here. This is a loser's life. And I don't say that to offend the guy. He seems like a nice guy, but trying to convince yourself that a life alone in the woods together with your dog in a tiny house is a good life is beyond delusional. We can hear the pain in your voice in every video. He eats man-made fruits and vegetables, which don't even exist in nature. He grows his own poisonous green leaves, which he actually consumes because of brainwashing. He believes that he's going against this modern society, whereas in reality, he's going against his own nature. Thanks for watching.
