0:00 What's up, what's up? I'm going to review a video by Ruri Ohama, the reason why your life is so boring and how to change it.
[video] 0:07 You wake up tired, you work for long hours, you come back home and rather doing something you truly enjoy, you either pick up your phone and turn on Netflix and simply waste your time. You already know hitting the gym, reading a book or going for a simple walk will be much beneficial for you in the long run.
0:24 Aha, in the long run, going to the gym, especially for a woman. For a man, as we know, studies have shown that, and we don't need studies for this, obviously, but people need that nowadays, that working out lowers testosterone, any kind of exercise. And of course, for women, this wouldn't be so much of a concern, but when it comes to women, it most definitely is going to make you infertile, really any kind of exercise, essentially. And that's also been shown in studies, if that's what you need as a slave. And then walking around, okay, walking around, It's natural, it's normal, humans simply walk around, they move. I don't know what kind of benefit you expect from it, it's just a normal thing to do. And reading a book, she said also. Yes, reading man-made letters in a man-made language with small letters that will ruin your eyesight, what are you going to get out of it? Oh yeah, other human being opinions about life, because you can't think for yourself. Yeah, that's really gonna help you.
[video] 1:17 She has an interesting accent, I wonder where she's from.
[video] 1:41 maybe half japanese but the accent is different people ask about your hobby you just lie life itself seems like a downward spiral if you don't know how to enjoy it but how to break downward spiral or is it even possible to break the cycle and have a life that actually you enjoy it seems quite hard to find fulfillment in life when you do the same stuff again and again have you ever had moments where you start
2:04 No, that's not true. Technically in nature, yes, it's a little bit different here and there, but overall you kind of do do the same stuff. But if everything that you do is natural, then of course there is always fulfillment, because a human being in general and any animal can only get fulfillment, actual fulfillment, actual happiness, joy and so on. What every human is actually looking for from natural activities.
[video] 2:27 That sounds like severe depression and this is usually caused by food but also quite often by medication
2:48 And the reason both affected is because it changes the chemistry in your body. And that's all that it is. I can already see in her eyes that her body chemistry is all messed up.
[video] 2:58 Given that you get 8 hours of sleep each night, we only have 16 hours to experience life. Sure, depending on your position, these 16 hours can vary quite significantly. But it also means that depending on these 16 hours and how you use these 16 hours, your general happiness in life is determined. Because no matter what your occupation is, we all need to do things that we don't enjoy and we all have moments where life starts to get monotone and simply boring.
3:21 No matter how successful you are, if you don't know how to... Yeah, because your life revolves around unnatural activities, of course. That kind of stuff does get boring in the sense that it doesn't provide you any actual true, like I said, joy, happiness and whatever you're looking for.
[video] 3:38 Enjoy life itself, it will be always boring because the default setting for life is just boring. If you want to change it, you need to take an action, it's not gonna happen naturally.
3:48 If your life seems boring then again you're depressed and if you had children running around you and you should have a lot of children at your age then of course your life wouldn't be boring for that reason alone.
[video] 4:01 It might be quite sudden, but do you have something that gets you up from the bed every morning and gives you so much joy after each time doing it in a healthy way?
4:10 That's gonna help, the croissant.
[video] 4:11 If your answer was no, if you don't have particularly enjoy in life, then this video is for you. I read a book called Mindset of People Who Have Fun Every Day from a Japanese psychiatrist, Kabasaba Shion. According to the neuroscience, if you know how to use dopamine in your favor, you can get true satisfaction, motivation, and happiness from it. Even when you accomplish something small, like ticking your box in your to-do list can make you release dopamine. Eating something delicious, drinking something you like, hitting the gym can all make you release dopamine. Dopamine plays a role as a reward center in many body functions. When dopamine is released in your body, it rejuvenates your mind, gives you motivation, and it also increases your memory. So, if you know how to control our dopamine levels in a healthy way, we can escape from the downward spiral of life. If you're a firm believer in hustle culture and thinking working harder is the only way, I have a bad news for you. If you constantly force yourself to do something you don't enjoy, you increase your primary stress hormone called cortisol.
5:06 Okay, I'm glad she mentions that. Let's listen to some more.
[video] 5:09 Long-term activation of the stress response system and the overexposure to cortisol can disturb almost all your body's function. This puts you at an increased risk of many health problems, basically everything we want to avoid in order to escape from downward spiral. That's why it's so important to learn healthy ways to cope with your life's stressors. But what if you hate your job? What if a huge chunk of your day is just making you stressed? If you would follow the popular advice in our society, the answer would be quit your job, follow your passion, do what you want, and keep continuing chilling it, you will be successful. As if following your fashion will be all flowers and rainbows and shiny every day. If you were able to do it in the first place, you wouldn't keep watching this video. If you can't enjoy your job, and if you can't change it, then find something you enjoy outside of your job. If you get stressed in your workplace, release it once you get back home. If your cortisol levels are increasing when you're working, decrease it once you are free. By the way, 20-30 minutes of low-intensity cardio can decrease your cortisol levels quite a lot, so...
6:04 That's incredibly wrong. Cardio, any kind of exercise in general, obviously increases cortisol. This has been proven. I don't even need to say anything about it. This should be common sense. But she's saying low intensity. And the reason she says this is because in comparison to high intensity cardio, for example, or whatever, you would have a lot of cortisol. So in comparison, it's less, so let's say you work like 10 hours a day, you're super stressed, your cortisol is super high, then if you do the low intensity, any kind of exercise, it's going to create less cortisol, which then in comparison is less, which means that you decrease it. That's the logic behind it, but in reality what you need to do is just completely rest and that's gonna decrease it the most, obviously.
[video] 6:50 Your perfect hobby has to fulfill at least one of the four factors. Those four factors are fun factor, relaxation, stress relief, and brain stimulation. When choosing a hobby, you want to pick something that you truly and genuinely enjoy. Think about scrolling on your phone, watching some reels and watching some YouTube videos without any purpose. After scrolling three hours, do you tend to think, that was an amazing three hours, I want to do it again. I'm so satisfied. Or do you tend to say, ah, f***. I did it again. If you genuinely enjoy after each time you scroll on social media or watch a random TV show, and if you're satisfied with it, there is nothing wrong with that. Use it as an entertainment. But if you keep feeling guilty about it, and if you don't even enjoy it, do you think keep continuing doing it will make you happy in the long run? I don't think so. So we need to find a hobby that will make you feel better afterwards.
7:38 It's so very simple to become happy, and that is by simply doing what is natural. You gotta understand that there's literally, and I mean literally no way around nature, and there's literally no way to be happy if you're doing something unnatural. And if you believe that, then you simply haven't experienced true happiness, because true happiness can only come from something natural. That's how we are programmed. We can only get true joy also and everything else from natural things, natural activities and whatnot. You will feel true joy if you have your children running around you and you can play with them and so on. You're trying to find some kind of natural feelings in unnatural activities, which is literally impossible for a human being. It just cannot happen.
[video] 8:26 It's not that reading itself is so beneficial. If you're reading 100 books a year, and if you're not learning anything, if you're not applying anything you learned from the book, nothing will change in your life. Trying the tips, testing it out, and giving yourself an honest feedback is what will make you grow. Watch the movie, discuss it with someone, exchange your opinions. Travel somewhere, write your thoughts on Instagram story or post, or maybe to your journal if you don't want to share. Read a book, Write a summary, write a review, discuss with people, verbalize your thoughts, give a feedback. Don't become a just consumer. What's even relaxation mean? According to Kawasawa, in medicine, when your sympathetic system deactivates and parasympathetic system gets activated, it's called relaxation.
9:03 Some of the best ways... All of this advice is horrible, by the way, but it's funny to listen to.
[video] 9:07 ...to turn on your parasympathetic systems are meditating, bathing, yoga, stretching...
9:14 Is that what's supposed to be relaxing? Meditating? Okay, I can understand that. Bathing? Absolutely, I even recommend it myself. Yoga? A lot of people say that it's pretty stressful and actually harder than strength training. Depends on what you do. Stretching? Not really, but okay, it's better than the other stuff. Sauna? Very stressful, very toxic. Again, if you want high cortisol, yeah, do sauna. Diffusing aromas, I don't know. They're probably toxic realistically, any of the green stuff. Pets, pets, pets. Wait, what is she gonna say? I gotta listen.
[video] 9:53 Sauna, diffusing various aromas, spending time with your pet, getting a massage.
9:57 Yeah, spending time with your pet. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. How delusional are you? Spending time with your pet? What is she talking about? Hello, like who is this guy who wrote that book? Spending time with your children, why with your tits? Fucking hell, Moritz.
[video] 10:13 Massage, listening to a soothing music, journaling, burning a candle.
10:19 Massage, I agree, music... Why not? Depends on what kind of music. Journaling? Pointless, meaningless. Burning a candle? I don't get why.
[video] 10:30 Reading. These can all switch your sympathetic system to parasympathetic system. It's so hard to say. One of the best ways you make a hobby of yours more stress-relieving is doing it with someone else. You can join the various groups, maybe take classes or simply invite someone to do the thing. The great thing about sharing an activity with someone else is the oxytocin. Oxytocin is called as one of the love hormones. It makes you feel connected.
10:57 I'm not sure if it's possible to release oxytocin when you're together with this guy. Black pill.
[video] 11:03 ...to someone else and also you feel the bond between that person. Oxytocin acts like an anti-stressor and it reduces blood pressure and also the cortisol levels. invite someone else to join you. The last factor is brain stimulation. We wanna pick something that can stimulate our brain so that we can maybe become smarter, more creative and active. The ultimate brain boosting hobby is exercising regularly. BDNF levels are increased two to threefold after exercise when compared to resting conditions and correlate positively with improvements in cognitive function in humans. An increase in BDNF concentration is associated with an increase in improvement in performance of memory and learning.
11:46 Da, if you understand what BDNF is, I used to study this topic years ago. It's a protein which is used as a growth factor for survival. If you don't understand what that means, the reason your memory and your learning skills improve is simply because Your body believes that it's dying, that it's in a survival situation, seeing as exercise is very stressful and unhealthy for the body. In every case, all exercise. That's why BDNF, of course, increases. This protein is going to make your body believe that you are dying right now and you need to learn how to get out of this situation. You need to learn how not to go to the gym or not be in this situation. Literally, that's what it means. People like this are so stupid that they just cannot comprehend it. What it means is basically that your body wants you to never go to the gym again. It wants you to learn not to be an absolute moron who goes and kills itself in the gym.
12:42 It wants you to learn to get out of the situation, which is a survival situation and BDNF completely proves this. And she shows it and it's increasing and she doesn't understand why. Oh, humanity, please.
[video] 12:57 And decrease the chances of depression. I'm pretty sure you have tried to build some habits that are beneficial for you, but you probably failed. Because if not, why are you even using it? If you want to find a perfect hobby for yourself, the most important thing is consistency. Just because you hit the gym once, it's not going to change your life completely. Yes, you might feel a bit better afterwards, but if you want long-term results, then we need to perform the act for a longer period.
13:19 This video is so incredibly sad and stupid that it's just funny to me. I just can't stop smiling anymore.
[video] 13:26 It's just so wrong. And also you need to keep doing the things too. It's crucial that you enjoy the hobby you pick, that's for sure. But don't forget, in order to start enjoying something, it actually takes time. And I feel like this is something really underrated. When I went to the gym, I felt so anxious and so stressed when I lifted weights. And I felt like everyone was watching me. there is this like beginner factor you don't know what you're doing you don't know how to do it you feel very self-conscious but in reality nobody cares about you as much as you care about yourself because everyone is focused on themselves some people who will laugh at you but why would you make those insecure people control over your happiness if you fix something stick it with at least some
14:06 It's really funny how she showed somebody laughing is somebody putting the hand over the mouth and putting a finger. Typical Japanese behavior. They are so ashamed and slave-minded.
[video] 14:16 If you absolutely hated for the whole month, maybe pick something different. But just don't give up quickly because it takes time for you to enjoy that thing.
14:25 Alright, painful video, especially at the end. And of course, if your life revolves around, like I said, unnatural activities and generally anything that's unnatural, then of course your life will seem meaningless, it will be boring and so on. Of course, it will cause you to be depressed not only because of the food, the other stuff will simply add on to it. There's almost nothing that will ever make you happy inside of your own room, apartment, any kind of building really, because you're already in an unnatural environment. You gotta go outside and you're not gonna be happy by eating any food which is created in any of these buildings. Again, you gotta get food from the outside. What I mean is go to nature more and become a more natural human being. It's the only way to be happy. Hello, common sense. Thanks for watching.
