0:00 Hi, I'm going to be reviewing a video by Dr. Emily Purpa. The video is called, What I Eat in a Day as a PhD Nutritionist. We will be able to see what nutritionists learn today.
[video] 0:14 Intro
[video] 0:26 Hello and welcome to my channel. Oh my goodness.
0:30 Lovely. She's British.
[video] 0:32 I can't believe I'm saying that. I'm so excited. I'm Emily. I'm a PhD nutrition scientist. This is my little corner of the internet where I share the research that every woman deserves to know. Evidence-based, no biohacks, no gimmicks, just science you can actually use in real life.
0:48 That sounds good. This is her first real video, by the way. She also has some shorts.
[video] 0:55 Because most of what you read online about health and nutrition is based on male data. Women's bodies work differently. Our hormones, our metabolism, our stress response, even how the bacteria in our gut behaves. Yet the advice we usually get is...
1:11 Your bodies do work somewhat differently. The differences are very small, but you don't eat different food in nature. I'll talk about that more.
[video] 1:24 These videos aren't medical advice and they're definitely not instructions on how you should eat. You've got enough people on the internet telling you to do that and I will not be one of them.
1:36 Nobody should be listening to anybody when it comes to diets, recipes. You shouldn't even listen to me. You can get some food for thought from me when it comes to what you're supposed to eat, but everybody should be listening to themselves, to their intuition in the first place, never to anybody else.
[video] 2:00 They're just real meals, real science, and hopefully can be a little place for you to come when the wellness world has you thinking you need to buy every supplement and completely overhaul your diet and maybe even your personality while you're at it. This can just be your place that blocks out that noise. Anyway, I'll stop yapping and let's just go and hang out. So, first up, coffee.
2:20 Wow, okay. First up, very toxic seed water. Great. Top of lunch and sunrise Beats my skin
2:39 the music doesn't make any sense it's playing while she's making coffee then she should be playing some grindcore because coffee is toxic and it will stress your body it's a stimulant stimulants are not healthy
[video] 3:05 Yes, it will dehydrate you. People who drink coffee create wrinkles prematurely.
3:28 seeing as it ages the whole body. And it's bad for your gut because you're drinking water mixed together with a powder made out of poisonous seeds.
[video] 3:40 Health benefits. That's because of these little things called polyphenols, which coffee is really high in. But...
3:46 Yes, those little things. They are so little that we cannot see them.
[video] 3:55 What kind of dumb logic is this? Why would you be stressed in the morning? What?
[video] 4:14 ...technically relevant gut issues. In fact, because coffee does contain those polyphenols or phytochemicals, sometimes we call them, they can actually support a healthy gut microbiome, the bacteria living in your gut. And then there's the whole diuretic myth. And it is exactly that. It's a myth. An old wives' tale. That said, though, hydrating first thing with a glass of water is a great habit because your body wakes up most dehydrated after sleep. But this cup of coffee...
4:37 How can you hydrate with water? If you drink a lot of water, especially if you're exercising, running, you will be sweating. You won't be getting any natural liquids inside of you which actually hydrate you. You will simply pee everything out. And of course, when you're exercising, you will also sweat everything out. I don't recommend trying this, but if you would, you would realize that water isn't going to hydrate you.
[video] 5:11 Hydrate you. And then finally, but by no means least, for us women, coffee timing or coffee consumption overall doesn't harm hormonal health or menstrual cycle regularity. So bottom line, I'm going to say enjoy your morning cup however you like it. These little moments of peace are rare, aren't they? You know, for me, this moment in the morning is when I'm just a human being, not a human doing. And sometimes that's the healthiest thing we can do, is just be. And that's what my morning little cup is for me. I hope that helped. And now we can all just enjoy our coffee the way we like it.
5:47 That also doesn't make any sense. You cannot enjoy coffee. Coffee tastes horrible. It smells like death. Everybody hates it. That's why people always cover up the taste with milk, cream, sugar, and so on. Pretty much nothing that she said made any sense.
6:20 Wow, she's absolutely crazy. She warms up frozen berries in the microwave? Did I see that correctly? And then she eats some kind of grain sludge with sugar and cream? Is that real cream?
6:37 Yogurt? Is that actually real dairy? Who knows? Nowadays, you cannot even know.
[video] 6:49 Oh, say for breakfast, I'm so excited. I've got my brownie baked oats, which have a peanut butter swirl. They are... I'll drop the recipe somewhere. With Greek yogurt and my berries, very much a balanced bowl. I always try and think about this mentality when filling my plate or my bowl. Whole grain carbs, I've got those in the oats. I've got healthy fats with the peanut butter. I've got protein.
7:11 And that's what these people learn. They simply go to school, repeat what they are told, they read, listen, and then they do their exams, write what they learned, and then that's what they make videos about, or teach in class, or as a nutritionist when they work later. They simply listen and repeat. There is no thinking involved. If they would have been taught that whole grains are the worst thing that you can eat, then that's what she would be telling you now. But because they told her that whole grains are good, She tells you to eat them. That's it. None of these people ever think about what we actually naturally eat, what we are supposed to eat to be healthy, full of vitality.
[video] 8:11 From the Greek yogurt, lots of fiber in there too. All of my polyphenols, as well as from my coffee earlier.
8:17 And the other one that you can... You're just imagining the polyphenols. Show me those polyphenols. Even if you want to believe in that... prove to me that they are helpful in any way.
[video] 8:30 Ever miss when it comes to nutrients is joy and this brownie baked oats has me leaping out of bed in the morning and I can't promise it will actually I am gonna promise that it will do the same for you too because they are that delicious. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. I used to be someone who skipped breakfast actually. I convinced myself of the research we have on intermittent fasting and I was looking at it and I was like yeah yeah I definitely feel more focused and alert when I would fast and these kind of things.
8:55 Of course, because you're starving in nature. If you don't have food, you will be more alert. How do you not understand that?
[video] 9:05 I would kind of tell myself that, but I would literally be sat here staring at the clock, like on some days, just waiting for midday. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.
9:15 Yes, exactly. You live counterintuitively, just like most people today. You were brainwashed in your school. That's why you don't eat when you want to eat. You drink coffee even though you hate it. You eat all of this garbage. Sure, it's very sweet. It's man-made for the most part. That appeals to your senses. But it's not what you really want to eat. You don't want to eat some kind of grain sludge.
[video] 9:46 When you've done these kind of protocols, I used to do 12 till 8, I'd say, intermittent fasting. And yeah, I really convinced myself that it was good for me and I was more alert and all these things.
9:54 Right. That's what it's all about nowadays. You convince yourself that something is good for you instead of simply listening to your own body, your nature. Your intuition will always tell you what's good for you. Does it feel good not to eat? No. No animal on earth, whatever say or expressed it, they always feel bad. You can never convince a human in nature not to eat in the morning, in the evening, whenever. When they want to eat, they will eat. Why? Because it's healthy. Because when you don't eat, you age.
[video] 10:31 But let me tell you, that kind of fasted buzz that you get, it's not magic, it's not really healthy in my opinion. It's cortisol, your stress hormone. So fasting triggers this stress response and your hypothalamus, the part of your brain that monitors energy and safety.
10:47 Again, it should be made clear that she's brainwashed. She believes that there's some little balls called cortisol and whatever kind of hormones flying around in your body, your bloodstream. She believes in a lot of things which cannot be proven.
[video] 11:10 basically sounds the alarm. It tells your body, we're in survival mode. And that's what gives you that alert kind of get done attitude and that kind of feeling in the morning. But long-term, that cortisol hit can break you down, not build you up. Between me and you, I learned that the hard way and I don't want you to fall into the same trap. I think intermittent fasting is one of those times where we are copy pasting male data onto female bodies and what might work for them doesn't necessarily work for us.
11:38 And this is why the whole video doesn't make any sense. Men and women are not really different. There are slight differences, but when it comes to our intuition, it's incredibly similar. You eat when you want to eat. Is it good for a man to starve? No. It's the same for all human beings. It doesn't matter if you're a woman or a man. What's the difference? You have your human nature. And the biggest problem is that she believes that men and women are also supposed to eat different food. If men go out and hunt and bring back an animal, are the women going to eat the plants, the grass, the green leaves, and watch the men eating meat? No.
12:35 All humans in nature eat raw animals. They drink the blood, eat the organs and so on. This is incredibly fallacious.
[video] 12:47 And if you wanna know more about the science of intermittent fasting for women, then let me know and I can do a video. I've also got a sub stack that I can share. All of this to say though, if intermittent fasting works for you and genuinely feels good, then you do you, absolutely.
13:01 I keep saying this, but you really- No, this is weakness. You experienced that starving feels bad obviously it's common sense and now you tell people you do you do whatever feels good but you know firsthand that starving feels bad why would you tell other women to try it they can try it once and then they will right away know that it's bad for you
[video] 13:32 Don't need someone on the internet telling you how to live your life. This is just my opinion, my take on where we are in the research, particularly when it comes to women's health. You know, I'm not anti-fasting at all. I'm anti-bro science that skips over key facts about your body, leaving you without the full picture to make an informed decision. Most intermittent fasting shown on social media is built on data from men or post-menopausal women. And that doesn't align with the biology of active menstruating women. And it's the same story every single time. Wellness trends rarely have us in mind.
14:03 That's another thing. Women in nature are pregnant very often. They don't simply menstruate, meaning that you would of course not be starving when you're creating a human being in your body she only talks about the menstruation ignoring that pregnant women no matter how much they try to go against their intuition would never starve as in do intermittent fasting
[video] 14:37 I forgot to say, I've got my creatine alongside. It's better absorbed.
14:40 Creatine powders are poisonous. I have made a video about it.
[video] 14:46 With carbs, great, got my oats.
14:47 Creatine is buzzing at the moment and I am very much- Yes, because it's being pushed by the pharmaceutical companies and that's who creates them in case you didn't know. And they create it out of petroleum. Do you like it? Yes? Drink more of it.
[video] 15:07 Cheer for it. If you want me to cover some of the science on creatine specifically for women and how the research...
15:12 The science, of course. Sure. Some association studies, religious beliefs.
[video] 15:20 Showing that it could be a great little helping hand for us along various different stages of our life.
15:25 Creatine has an LD50 value. Only poisonous substances do. Okay. You're not going to be showing us any proof that creatine is good for you if it has been proven to be poisonous in studies. All right?
[video] 15:44 Then let me know again and I will cover the science on that one.
15:50 Who the hell knows what she means by science?
[video] 15:56 Her hands look really aged and sickly.
16:12 It's a sign that her lifestyle and diet is bad.
[video] 16:16 Team, I need this lunch right now. It has been a busy day of work. Whenever I watch these videos and people online are like, oh yeah, and then I've just gone and done a bit of work. I'm always like, what's the work? Because I'm a nosy parker. And I'm assuming you guys might be too, considering this is the kind of video you want to watch. So let me tell you what I've been working on. So I'm a nutrition scientist and currently I'm writing a scientific paper summarizing essentially a conference that I recently went to. At the end of last year it was. And so it was the latest...
16:38 Does she have any idea what a scientific paper is?
[video] 16:43 Always protein instead of meat, animals.
17:09 They just say protein and they think that that's why we eat animals and that's why you can simply eat tofu instead.
[video] 17:16 And this amazing dressing that I've got. And also I'm obsessed with pickled ginger. I mean, it's on brand, is it not? Also, let's just talk for a minute while I've got you about plant protein. Plant proteins often get a bit of unwarranted hate online because they're sometimes labeled as incomplete proteins, meaning they don't contain all nine essential amino acids in the exact proportions the body needs them to be. Technically this is true.
17:38 Technically you cannot even prove protein or amino acids in the first place in it. I wouldn't expect her to understand that she talks about complete or incomplete proteins. Show me a protein and show me amino acids, please. Where are they? How can I see if they are complete or not?
[video] 18:06 Many single plant protein sources like beans or wheat are lower in one or more essential amino acids. Practically though, it's not a problem. Your body doesn't need every amino acid in every bite of food. As long as you eat a variety of plant foods throughout the day, your amino acid profile evens out. So we don't need to stress about it. And I'm here for that.
18:26 Just religious beliefs you go on eating that you become infertile And then you wonder and you cannot figure it out because on paper You're getting everything So good, I'll link the recipe for this because it's my go-to Man, it's not your go-to, you're imitating animals. It's what vegans, vegetarians always do. Is she a vegetarian? She ate a yogurt before. I guess that she maybe eats some meat here and there, but this is horrible. This is pretty much the opposite of what humans eat in nature. And again, men and women eat the same food. For the most part, you simply eat animals in their raw state. What is this? This is not food. That explains her hands. The rest of the faced body we cannot really see. She has makeup on. She does look almost underweight.
19:27 Nothing about this is healthy.
19:35 Lovely British weather in it. How I miss it. Seeing this makes me want to cry. Tears of joy because I'm not there anymore.
19:52 It's just the worst place on Earth. It really is. Wasn't it ranked the second most miserable country on Earth? Rightfully so. It really is the worst one.
20:28 Again, the music doesn't fit the video. You should be playing some DSBM. When you look at the weather, the wind... Of course, some green leaves from the bushes outside. That's human food, that's what humans naturally eat.
21:02 Nice, some beans, which you cannot eat in their raw state because you're not supposed to eat them naturally. And, uh... I don't even know what the rest is. Some kind of seeds? And that's how bad it is. I cannot even recognize it.
[video] 21:20 Oh, dinner time. I cannot wait. I've got a sun dried tomato and butter bean stew with some grain.
21:26 Butter bean, the tofu before. She's craving animals like crazy.
[video] 21:33 Some cod and extra salad that was- Cod?
21:36 Fish? Okay. Typical. If they eat meat, then fish.
[video] 21:42 It's just spinach, to be fair, which I put some into the butter bean stew, but you know when there's just like so much going on, so I was like, I'll have that extra little bit on the end. And I cannot wait. It has been a day, shall we say. This recipe, this butter bean stew actually, was part of my first meal prep series that I did on social media, so I'll link to it if you do want to make it. That kind of series is where I basically take you through my weekly food shop and show you how I turn it then into easy, nutritious meals so that you can too. So if you want to follow along, then please do.
[video] 22:14 Okay, I...
22:16 Okay, I'm going to drink some poisonous green tea.
[video] 22:21 I'm having a peppermint tea and some dark chocolate. I've got this... Oh, cute!
22:26 Most teas are made out of some kind of toxic plants, green leaves, oftentimes peppermint leaves. It's all the same at the end of the day. That's why you add sugar to it. It tastes horrible. It's incredibly unhealthy. Full of microplastics, toxic heavy metals.
[video] 22:50 I always finish. It doesn't matter if it's a weekend, whatever. Every single day, I have something sweet after my dinner. And I just want to say, if anyone does always feel like they need something sweet after a meal, it's actually completely normal. And let me tell you why. It's called sensory-specific satiety, where as you finish a meal, your enjoyment of it essentially declines because your taste buds are still sensitive to other new flavors like something sweet. So the reason why, as scientists, we think this happens is because of evolution, basically. So preferring something sweet after a meal was essentially Whatever, blah blah blah, but the reason you add something sweet to the tea is because the tea is toxic. It's bitter. That's what bitterness means. It means that you're consuming something poisonous.
[video] 23:44 Sweet signaled a quick source of energy. So sometimes I just think it's really helpful to know that these things that we think are like bad because we're like, oh, I can't seem to control myself. I must have something sweet. Well, actually, it's completely normal and not something that we should essentially be ashamed of or whatever or try to control, you know?
24:00 Yes, but you live completely counterintuitively. You clearly crave meat all the time. You try to imitate it and you go against that also. You pick and choose. You ignore some of your intuition, but then kind of follow some other parts of it, but not really because you're consuming artificial sweeteners.
[video] 24:25 We've got enough on our plates to be adding this as something that we shouldn't be doing. You know, our to-do lists are long enough. So yeah, if you want some chocolate in the evening or whatever something sweet that is for you, then do, because I love this little moment where I have my chocolate and my tea in the evening.
24:40 Yes, but the chocolate is only edible because of the sugar which is added to it. Obviously, because chocolate is also made out of poisonous seeds. You wouldn't be eating the seeds themselves. You have fat cravings. I didn't see you eat any animal fat throughout the day, and that's why you eat chocolate like most women. Most women eat at the very best some pasteurized dairy, and if not, then chocolate, some kind of plant sludge, peanut butter. You all crave animal fat like crazy because women and men in nature eat brain, bone marrow. That's what you should be eating. You're a horrible nutritionist.
[video] 25:25 And to me, it's all those little things in life. So I start the day with my coffee in the morning and I finish with my little piece of Chucky on the sofa.
25:34 Chucky, but the tea also in it. You start with a poisonous drink and you end your day with a poisonous drink. I wanted to quickly show you a short that she made.
[video] 25:45 Exactly the food that you eat.
26:09 Will make you feel good or bad. And if you eat some kind of artificial plant based meals, which is what she was showing in her what I eat in a day video, then you can only feel bad. How can you feel good? When you eat unnatural food, it's impossible. If your gut was created to consume natural food, then you cannot feel good when eating unnatural food. Just purely logically, that makes no sense. But if you eat natural food, if you're successful in nature, or naturally the way you should be even in the system, then when you hunt down an animal, you slaughter it at the farm in the system, and you eat it, you eat the liver, the brain, the bone marrow, and she didn't talk about organs or even meat at all, which is hilarious, then of course you will feel good.
27:05 It will enter your gut, it will be digested, and you will be rewarded. That's why people who eat liver for the first time when it's healthy liver from healthy animals, they say that they feel as good as never before. That's what I've heard from a lot of people. They...
[video] 27:26 say that the feeling is indescribable and that they uh want to feel like this for the rest of their lives obviously guts and your brain so your brain talks to all your organs but your gut talks back and here's the wild part around 90 of that communication actually travels from the gut to the brain not the other way around And it's not just your gut saying, I'm hungry or I'm full. It's way more powerful than that. We're now learning that your gut, specifically the bacteria living inside it, sends signals and chemicals that can directly influence your mood, your stress levels, and even your mental health.
27:59 Obviously. And people still wonder today why they are depressed, why they feel miserable, why they don't feel like doing anything. But when you look at what they eat, And you look at the obvious connection, it's not as if you eat food, it doesn't affect anything in your body, and it just comes back out, whatever you don't digest the waste. No. You eat it, and it influences your whole body, everything. Your energy, vitality, the way you feel, everything. The way you are is because of food. Your mood, your goals in life, everything that you want to do, of course, you also get brainwashed to do what you do the same way she get brainwashed to eat unnatural food. But you understand what I mean. This feeling that you have when you don't feel like doing something, you don't understand what you're supposed to do in this life.
28:58 That's all because of the food that you're eating. And when you eat bread, noodles, lentils, broccoli, green leaves, then expect to feel bad. Never expect to feel good.
[video] 29:11 And if you want to understand exactly how your gut bacteria do this and how the food you eat can support your brain health, then come join my six week online course where we're going to dig into the science and answer that all important question. Can we eat ourselves happy? I hope to see you there.
29:25 It's very obvious that she puts on a fake smile for the video. It doesn't fool me, I've seen this a million times. It's clear what's going on today. People get brainwashed in schools, they graduate, then some of them simply work as nutritionists, doctors and some also create videos online ebi sharp is another example she's a so-called dietitian and what she promotes is very similar to her and that's because they all learn more or less the same some may say that coffee is not that good for you some may say that it's super good for you none of them will say that it's actually bad for you There's some slight differences, but all of them promote plants.
30:20 And how can it be that even though humans in nature hunt down animals and eat them raw, we drink the blood, we eat the liver, the brain raw, we open up the bone marrow and eat it, and today we have people who study... what is supposed to be healthy for a human being, what we are supposed to eat. And their conclusion is, eat manmade seeds and plants. And then they simply put on the fake smile for the video to convince you. But off camera, she's obviously doing horribly. I can see that. I see right through these lies. I've seen way too many people like this. And at this point, I don't think that it's fooling anybody out there. People are starting to understand what we are naturally supposed to eat. Thanks for watching.
