[video] 0:00 Yeah, so I'm called Prem.

[video] 0:04 Yeah, I was part of the vegan movement for 15 years. I started quite young.

[video] 0:15 And yeah, that's my introduction.

0:20 When was it? What year was it? And how did you get into it?

[video] 0:25 So yeah, I mean, I'll start back like when I was 11. I went to a vegetarian school.

[video] 0:35 So before that, I grew up in France. So they have good meat in France. But when I was 11, I went to this spiritual vegetarian school in England, in Devon.

[video] 0:53 And yeah, that's where I started. It was not my choice, obviously. It was horrible food.

[video] 1:00 We had, you know, it was like tofu and a lot of grains for lunch, you know, for all like the hundred kids. And we had to help prepare it. And we were always complaining, you know, about the food.

[video] 1:16 And, yeah, so that's when it started. And then after that school, I was living in a rough neighborhood in London for a year. was like a fully black neighborhood. I was the only white guy I ever saw. And I was really having a bad diet. I was eating like, you know, junk food basically.

[video] 1:41 And I got like, I had already had it a lot of my life. I had eczema over half my body. So it was like painful. I couldn't even sleep. It was like kind of bloody eczema. And I also had juvenile arthritis and was told, yeah, you know, there's no cure. You just have to take these creams.

[video] 2:07 And that was crap. And then I hadn't seen my father for a few years and he had been off on this health journey himself. And I flew to America to meet him to Seattle. That very day like I quit all the junk food I quit Carbohydrates grains gluten sugar and I went on this alkali diet Which was fronted by this guy called Robert. Oh young and he basically created the alkali movement and I On a side note, I found out he went to prison in the last few years because he was actually like didn't even have a medical license and was just bullshitting people.

[video] 3:04 And he was fined a hundred million by this woman who was basically dying after following his program. And yeah, he was all about everything alkalized. So it was not. only raw but it was like tofu and just everything alkali obsessed with alkali and but the issue is is that initially in one week all my problems cleared up so I obviously associated it with that with what health is and that was not the reality you know the reality is I quit a lot of my allergens

[video] 3:48 like sugar and carbs and so So all my conditions cleared up my arthritis my eczema in one two weeks So it was really great initially and and then I moved to Australia and I was 16 and I didn't have a job and my mom had bought me this raw food and cookbook, uncookbook and it was very new still, it was about 2003 this time and there was no one doing it but it was big in America and so I started making like raw vegan cakes and I thought they taste pretty good and I was already not eating dairy and processed sugar and stuff like that so

[video] 4:46 I was like, this tastes pretty nice and I could try and sell them. And to cut a long story short, it blew up. Basically, it was like I was the first raw vegan company in Australia. We had the number one superfood website in Australia. We were teaching classes in every city, like one or two a month with one to 200 people fully booked every time. was making good money.

[video] 5:19 And yeah, this was like period between 16 to 18, 19. And that's when I went raw vegan basically was pretty much from 15 to 18. So three years.

[video] 5:35 And yeah, it was it was huge was was really great, you know, in terms of a business.

[video] 5:42 And we were even teaching retreats, some fasting retreats.

[video] 5:49 But what happened is after three years, I collapsed. So I had basically chronic fatigue. I couldn't really even walk. I was like in bed all the time. I was very active at the time, like surfing four or five hours a day.

[video] 6:10 And yeah, this... This was like a shock at first, like, what's going on? You know, I'm the healthiest I could possibly be, you know? I was not like just mindless raw vegan. We were selling superfoods and having all the recommended supplements, like cutting edge, everything. And, yeah, I collapsed and collapsed. This is what's amazing is we came upon Arjuna's wonder planet at that time. Because I was open, I was never vegan because of the animals. I always felt connected to the animals and nature, but the vegan arguments always sounded like nonsense to me. Nothing to do with an understanding of nature.

[video] 7:08 And, yes, we were open, and I wanted it for my health. So my father made me a raw liver smoothie.

[video] 7:21 And instantly I felt better, and I tried everything before that, all the superfoods we were trying. Maybe it's more spirulina or chlorella.

[video] 7:33 But instantly I woke up. I can stand up. have energy again and yeah that was that except we still got a raw vegan company that's growing and growing and somehow I didn't get the message in that time that's what blows my mind is it took me what another I'm 31 now so it took me like another 12-13 years

[video] 8:05 to really understand that it was the meat I needed. You know, I just somehow thought, I don't know, and went to maybe eggs again and dairy, you know, but kind of didn't really go on with the meat.

[video] 8:24 And yeah, I mean, I carried on the business, but I didn't have a visa in Australia anyway, so I kept having to go back to the UK

[video] 8:36 And I remember this one time when I had to go back to the UK, and I was asked to teach a raw vegan talk, just to give a talk at this big event, very popular, like Psytrance event.

[video] 8:51 And I remember right before the event, I was so hungry that it was five minutes before I had to talk. and I ran outside, I ran, ran to a kebab shop and I bought a kebab and just ate this kebab and now I felt okay to give this talk. I knew I couldn't even give it, I was so nervous system twitchy and hungry.

[video] 9:32 Yeah, so I gave this talk and I was like, this is the most hypocritical thing you've ever done. But I was like, the justification in my mind was still like, oh no, but it's good for them. It's just me, I need, you know, I needed that. I don't know what I was thinking really, but I was thinking, yeah, it helped me, you know, it cured some things and overall it's good, you know.

[video] 10:00 Yes, I just remember that moment. And then, yeah, I mean, I carried on the business a little bit. But in the end, I basically lost it because it was under my friend's name. So I basically lost that business. And then, yeah, eventually started it again in the UK. But it was very different. I was living in a squad.

[video] 10:30 And, yeah, I was just making a few chocolates just to, like, earn a living. Like, I've almost never had a nine-to-five job because it doesn't make sense to me.

[video] 10:43 So, yeah, I started again square one. Like, that business got sold for a good amount of money in different sections, but I got nothing, so I had to start again. And I clearly still haven't got the message, but

[video] 11:01 I was quite not interested in the whole going vegan message by that point. I was just like, hey, I'm good at making sweets and chocolates, so I'm going to start another business just with some products.

[video] 11:18 And yeah, eventually that grew and we had a small factory in the UK. And over this time, I was back and forth vegan, vegetarian, so that's 12, 13 years after collapsing on veganism.

[video] 11:39 And this is what I want to be clear to people, that vegetarianism is still not an option. It's just like a slower death.

[video] 11:54 You know, I proved that to myself the hard way because I slowly developed much worse conditions than just collapsing without energy because at least then I was not in pain when I tried to eat something because over the next 12, 13 years I developed all sorts of issues. And I was having, the last five years or so, I was having eggs, raw butter, raw milk, some fish occasionally. But I was so malnourished from the age of 11 and even before that, that it wasn't enough. It simply wasn't enough. The deterioration occurred slowly anyway.

[video] 12:45 And basically, yeah, where it ended up is I was in total pain whatever I ate for three to five hours.

[video] 12:57 It's as if the tubes in my body had shrunk. Like, if you don't mind me being graphic, it's as if like when I took a poo, it's like it couldn't even come out like an old person, like who has a shriveling organs and a collapsing digestive system. That's what I now feel it was like, because when you're eating just vegetables mainly, it's not what you're meant to eat, so it's collapsing all your organs. There's no tonifying quality that meat has, it's tonifying to our organs.

[video] 13:44 And, yeah, my teeth were rotting, as I've mentioned to you many times before, but, you know, and I was depressed. I mean, looking back, I really don't think I would have attempted to commit suicide two times by taking a poisonous plant if... I mean, I know I would not if I was on this diet, because... it's it's was such a slow process you know many other people you've interviewed it's like quite a fantastical story because it's like so quickly like you you were hospitalized but for me it was such a slow back-and-forth process that you know I blamed everything but my lack of meat you know I blamed every type of emotional pain that I've had from young

[video] 14:45 just anything, name it, and I blame that as spiritual reasons, this and that, but the reality is our brain chemistry is controlled by our health, you know, by what we're eating, so I spent just countless nights, a decade, of going to bed at five in the morning, searching for the answer, you know, researching New World Order,

[video] 15:14 Yeah, doing meditation, looking for myself, and it was all from a deep pain, which it doesn't magically all go away, but it's very impossible to heal yourself if you're malnourished. It's very difficult.

15:36 You mentioned the supplements that you also take B12 and all of that?

[video] 15:42 No, I was never into, like, I mean, I did at a small time, but I was never that into those, like, properly chemically made. Like, I knew it has to come, like, let's say from, you know, algaes or this kind of stuff. So I took many superfoods, but not, like, laboratory supplements.

16:09 Right.

[video] 16:10 vitamin D maybe at some point.

16:13 What do you think is the future of veganism? Is there hope?

[video] 16:21 Hope for what? For us? You mean for humans?

16:24 Yeah.

[video] 16:25 Not for vegans. There's absolutely hope simply by understanding the nature of reality. It's not There's no hope if you look outside right now in the news and in the government, but you can't change nature. So the more vegans there are, this is the biggest fuel to the raw carnival movement. Like, just look at most of the raw carnivals. They were vegan, not vegetarian. So it's like, it could get a lot worse before it gets, or it could get a lot worse, but at the same time, we're in a day and age when we can create our reality, you know? I want to have my own community, raw carnival. So there's absolutely hope, but you have to make it yourself.

17:22 Mm-hmm.

17:25 Anything else you would like to add? Any special experience, something you learned from it all?

[video] 17:31 Yeah, I mean, I also just want to say the moment when it happened then was just over four months ago when the switch happened. And I just reached a breaking point where my teeth were going black, like you can see something there. And I was like, this is intrinsically wrong. I'm 31. My teeth are rotting. I cannot digest anything. So how am I going to get better?

[video] 18:06 And I broke down in tears. And I was like praying to life, you know, to myself. And I find whenever you face something and really ask the question or just face it, then you get an answer you're truly open and the next day I saw a comparison of the digestive systems and that's what triggered it and then I found your videos and you reminded me of Arjuna's and that whole thing so yeah I just wanted to mention that point and yeah I mean yeah it's really crazy it's really crazy I do hope obviously, that people listen to this and all the info that we're giving because it's real, man. Like, we really can save lives. I mean, it's not some, like, evangelical mission. That's the reality.

[video] 19:09 And, yeah, I mean, I'm sure there's so many other stories, you know. In 15 years, there's so many things. But, yeah, I mean, like, addictions even for me I'm a very addictive personality and I realized a few years ago that like I can't just keep fighting I'm fighting these addictions on my life like weed and sugar because like so back when I was raw vegan yeah I was not smoking all that stuff but till five in the morning I would binge

[video] 19:46 on dried fruit and raw chocolate. I was like, man, I'm a drug addict. It was not normal. I was searching for nutrition.

[video] 19:59 And then I carried on having different addictions. Food was not that so much because I couldn't eat. So I was pretty much fasting and then having coffees and joints and to numb my pain, and basically I haven't even done anything different, I just went carnival and then went raw carnival, and without thinking about it, many addictions have stopped. Like, I don't eat carbs or sugar anymore, and I was never able to stick to that. Like I did cleanses and stuff in the past, but then it would come back very quickly, So yeah, I just want to say as well, so for addictions, it's a lot to do with nutrition. You're searching for nourishment and searching for numbing of yourself. And yeah, so even weed, I stopped quite easily. That's the first time in my life.

[video] 21:02 And yeah, I'm still smoking tobacco, but I have quite a trust now that it's like I have more and more strength, you know, and personal respect. So it's like, yeah, my whole life has changed in four months, you know, inner and outer. It's like so much more active. I was staying inside my house, not meeting my friends, like because I was like in a shitty mood all the time.

[video] 21:32 It's very deep, you know, so you think you're a recluse, like a loner type of person. It's like, no, no. naturally in my opinion that doesn't exist like this causes different personalities but a complete recluse like who doesn't want to see people that doesn't exist naturally it's actually like their health all right that's it yeah if you're gonna if you got other questions that sums it up yeah thanks for sharing man cool bro
