[video] 0:00 yo guys i'm going to review the climatarian diet by kelty o'connor i got a confession i want to do better for the environment but i am confused every single person tells us conflicting arguments going vegan and plant-based helps environment but then the carnivores are over here and we'll say that's completely contradictive dilemma i am traveling a lot this next week veganism is definitely a lot worse for the environment really than any diet see my family south bachelor party and reunite with my partner as much as i love traveling i feel very blessed the one thing that always eats me inside is the impact on the environment flying does the best thing i can do is try and reduce my carbon footprint in every other single way that's where the climatarian diet comes in this is the first diet i saw it doesn't really demonize anything but it seems like wow if we all ate in this way i think we could all do it so here's what i did
0:49 I incorporate a couple of vegan and vegetarian meals each week like this fall salad. Of course the number one reason is to eat less meat because there is an agenda behind it and the number one agenda is to reduce and eventually somewhat ban and at least make meat very expensive and replace it with eating worms other insects and of course base everything on vegetarianism and veganism Which is why the climate agenda is connected to the vegan agenda Okay, I leave to Edmonton tomorrow so my fridge is empty so I decided to do takeout but I did a plant-based so this is like a falafel bowl Oh baby Yes, this is exactly what the people in power would like you to eat more.
[video] 1:41 One thing I like to do is trying to have several vegan meals a week. Full vegan, that's a different situation. Eat seasonally. Let's just look at this. Look at this. I come and there's just a big basket of pumpkins and apples. So she'll eat this. She'll make seeds of it. Apple. Also, bonus when I'm here, and I'm going to count this as my own. My family has a garden. So one thing, grow your own veggies. So these are the carrots my mom grew. So take a little credit for my mom. Notice when you grow them your own, how different, like this baby grew next to this one. First thing you buy in a grocery store. Hmm, you want the carrot.
2:17 Yes, you could say that the food is seasonal technically, but all of that food was manmade. It doesn't even exist in nature. So how could you really call it seasonal? Seasonal food would have to be actual natural food, which is found in nature.
[video] 2:30 This is a nice organic carrot. Millie, are you gonna eat your carrot?
2:37 Animal abuse.
[video] 2:38 You're so good for the environment. What a good pupper. I don't know who to trust anymore. And it is so confusing. Obviously, we all know the impact that cows and methane have on the environment and just the morality of killing an animal.
2:53 You don't know it, but you religiously believe what people tell you without any proof.
[video] 2:58 Then I go and look now, vegans in, which is great, and I love that for the vegans, but all the grocery stores are just full with packaged vegan products. It's the food industry just marketing towards vegan as like, look, it's butterflies, but then they're just giving us more packaged food and it's just not fixing the actual problem.
[video] 3:16 Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! So we made a turkey, and here's the perfect example of no meat waste. Last night, made the turkey. There's all the scraps from the turkey. There's the extra meat, there's the skin, there's the bones. You make it in the turkey.
3:27 She's looking very exhausted. Also, the dark eye circles are kind of protruding. I assume that she maybe works out a lot or has a stressful life, at least in some way.
[video] 3:36 It's a great way, like, if you're gonna use meat, use every of it. And then Millie got all the fatty scraps. Did we turn the leftover turkey into puppy food for you to eat? Yes, oh, we did.
3:50 Okay, that's a good point of course to use everything as much as you can also Use the bones for any kind of broth or soup that you're making deodorant doesn't count as your liquid It's so nice and i'm obsessed.
[video] 4:04 Look at this guy. It looks cute in my cabinet But it's very appropriate for this video because it's vegan aluminum paraben free My absolute favorite smell has always been that eucalyptus mint think of eucalyptus
4:14 Shaved armpits are unnatural, obviously, and you would smell a lot less if you would not shave the hair.
[video] 4:21 Leptis leaf hanging in your shower, like that vibe. It smells so good. See, I got boy problems, that's a human in me. Knock on middle, girl. Lips, too.
[video] 4:45 As someone who eats out multiple times a day usually, this one was such a degenerated culture challenge to me. So I really tried to scale back. I went out for tacos once with my brother, about two meals a day when I was in Nashville with Sav, and then between traveling when my fridge wasn't full, so I got the poke bowl and the vegan. falafel bowl. So I really tried to scale back, but at the same time, not be so restrictive that I wasn't going to go grab a beer and tacos with my brother. So when I saw Game Changers, I went vegan right after. When I saw Seaspiracy, I didn't have seafood for a long time right after. And it's because, yeah, I'm just aware of like how my own choices impact the environment.
5:15 You're not aware at all. You're just very easily influenced, brainwashed. Those documentaries have been proven to be completely false, completely false. Everything in them is a lie, but you fall for it because you can't think for yourself.
[video] 5:29 I don't want to ever harm the environment but it's confusing and I don't know who to believe because at the end of Seaspiracy you realize they make money off a company off of I'm going to completely butcher it but it was like a vegan it was like Beyond Beef but seafood game changers I think it was like a supplement company or something they promoted and then the cynic in me just thinks they're just doing it for profit but then also the realist in me realizes if you're passionate about something you're going to make a business around it they're just passionate about you know not having people eat seafood they're going to try and find an alternative and like which is it I don't know
[video] 5:57 Because I did a post a little while ago of like where you stand. on the vegan versus carnivore. And I've never had so many responses. It's such a confusing time. People are so passionate about it. And like people on the far meat eating side have seen health benefits and same with vegans have seen the health benefits and also the environment. And it's just because people are so passionate about it, it's really hard to figure out what's right or wrong.
6:24 I don't know of any health benefits that vegans are seeing. I've never heard any vegans say that they
[video] 6:29 healed and anything or saw any kind of health benefits whatsoever and i don't want anyone to even feel tactic i would just love to hear your guys's own experience because i feel here on this channel like so many of you guys are amazing and fun and we all get it we're all just trying to do better for ourselves in the world little by little and we're definitely not perfect Confession, I'm a big bar person. Like I just always have been since I was a little girl. My mom always had like protein bars, canola bars, and that laying around the house. So I always grab them. I've switched to this one this last couple of weeks. It's the real food bar, which tastes great, but all the ingredients are made local. Made at community bakeries, Canadian ingredients, sweetened with honey, woman owned, recycled packaging and stuff. I'm really trying to focus less on like changing my entire life, but just making better choices within my day to day life. I really like this because this forced me to learn what was local and sustainable in my own place. And I also think we have to take that into account. Like what is accessible to someone in Vancouver is not accessible to someone other place in the world. We can use seafood, for example. It's a lot more likely that I can get sustainable, fresh seafood here in Vancouver than when I lived in Empton. So that's even like something that I just default to do. When I'm back in Edmonton, except for if my mom really wants it, I never order seafood. I never get sushi. When I'm in Vancouver, I get seafood and sushi.
[video] 7:28 On the flip side, I think I've eaten beef once a year here when in Vancouver versus when I'm in Alberta, Alberta beef. I'm more likely to order a steak there. I think that's how we'll all do the greatest impact. And I know for myself, because I've done that past, I've gone full vegan. I've tried zero waste. And I just find every time I do it, I'm so excited when it's done that I just don't keep anything. That's why I'm gonna do my streaks and my 30 day challenges. the little things the only really good thing that was on the list is to choose local food and that's simply because of the pollution that is caused by transporting all of the food vegan versus carnivore i not gonna answer that for you because i think that's a completely personal question but i do like the idea if you're gonna eat meat like in an unsustainable way. If you eat meat, it should not be wasteful. I think that's the biggest thing. It's like, let's just not waste food and how can we do better? And I'm not perfect doing little things like this, just kind of be more mindful.
8:13 All right, really the video was pointless for the most part. It was more about her and not how to help the environment anyway. Just a typical little bit narcissistic girl. And of course, she doesn't want to have any fights with vegans who are carnivores, so-called carnivores. Not even carnivores, they just eat cooked meat, that's probably what she means. She doesn't even know about raw meat, most likely, which is the actual natural food for humans. She could actually just give her opinion as to what she really likes and wants to eat, and she obviously eats meat, so she admits that meat is good for us because she likes it and she eats it. She's just one of those people who wants to be liked by everybody, which is also a sign of narcissism. She would be so upset if anybody disagreed with her in some way or would say that you are wrong about this and so on. Really, that's just a mental issue at the end of the day. Be open and actually tell us your opinion about this topic. Those kind of videos are actually interesting to watch when you choose a side and say why it's better.
9:13 This was just nothing. Thanks for watching.
