0:00 Hey guys, I'm going to review a video by Emily Eving. How I make comfort foods a bit healthier.
[video] 0:06 This video is sponsored by Thrive Market. You will hear more about them later on in the video. So I get a lot of comments about my relationship with food and how people appreciate that I eat what I want. So I've been wanting to do a video like this for a while that could...
0:20 she eats what she wants to eat which are man-made vegetables which don't exist in nature full of toxins which is why they taste terrible but she eats what she wants to eat maybe give an idea of my sort of philosophy around diet and health
[video] 0:36 which is just to focus more on adding in good things rather than taking out the quote-unquote bad things. So hopefully this video will give you some ideas of things that you can add to your favorite comfort or convenience foods to make them more nutritious and or balanced. If not, just hopefully entertain you for 20 minutes. So here I am making some of these spicy soy noodles that I've talked about many times on this channel before. I love them so much. And it's not that these are very unhealthy. Honestly, they don't have that much in them.
1:06 They are incredibly unhealthy. Soy, for one thing, has phytoestrogens, which are horrible for women. But in general, noodles simply have fiber and carbohydrates, plus some anti-nutrients also, depending on what they are made out of. How is that in any way not terrible? It is one of the worst things you could possibly eat.
[video] 1:25 And they're like air-dried noodles, so they're not fried. But it's just like, it's just wheat noodles with a sauce, you know? So I'm always like trying to add things to make it a little more nutritious and filling. So if I'm feeling lazy or if I don't have a lot of time, I'll just like rip broccoli into it like this and I'll just boil the broccoli with the noodles. Sometimes I'll even just throw some spinach in with the noodles as well. And I know it's better to steam vegetables to get the nutrients, you know, but any vegetables is better than no vegetables.
1:55 Nothing that she said makes any sense. Of course adding broccoli or spinach to the noodles doesn't make the meal any more nutritious, seeing as broccoli and spinach basically don't have any micronutrients at all.
2:10 Yes, they have some minerals technically, but with the anti-nutrients and the toxins in them, you're really getting nothing out of it, seeing as all of it is also enclosed in fiber. We can't digest vegetables. I hope that that's needless to say. Also, how are steamed vegetables better than no vegetables? No vegetables will always be better in every possible case, because vegetables are man-made and toxic to humans. They are not found in nature, which means that they are not part of our natural diet, if you will. They can only add poison to your food. They don't add anything useful.
[video] 2:49 Right, so I just boil those and then drain them and then I'm adding some mixed greens and I like to like crunch- crush them up in my hands and sometimes-
2:58 It's so absolutely ridiculous. If she would want to save this meal, the noodles, which are already horrible enough, then she should be adding some chicken liver, for example, or some chicken thighs. I say chicken because women nowadays have a problem with eating red meat, but she should be adding some kind of fatty meat to it. That would really be the only thing that would slow down the absorption of the sugar from the noodles and not increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes and so on, which you will most certainly get from noodles and toxic vegetables. and it would generally add over 15 micronutrients to the meal seeing as meat has every nutrient and vegetables lack over 15 plus you add a lot of toxins it's really just horrible that would be so easy it's not even digestible the biological value is so low
[video] 4:03 How are you getting any kind of protein?
4:07 You're technically adding protein to the meal, but you're not actually digesting and absorbing it.
[video] 4:12 What is fresh about any of it? Fresh food is raw food, not cooked, steamed food.
[video] 4:29 plus some green onion from my green onion plant that's also why it doesn't look as strong and hefty as the store-bought ones um and yeah so this is just like ways to add some veggies and greens and protein and freshness fiber
[video] 4:48 So yeah, now moving on to Chinese food takeout, which I love. This is a Chinese food restaurant in my town that has great vegan options. But for some reason, they put like no veggies in their food, especially since COVID. Like, I feel bad. I'm sure it's like because the cost of veggies, the cost of everything sucks. But anyways, I like to digest. You know, I like to not be constipated. I like to have some fiber, usually. So when I want to...
5:16 That's one of the biggest misconceptions there is, because of course fiber is the indigestible part of the plant. It cannot in any way help with constipation. Every study ever made about fiber proves that of course it causes constipation, which of course makes sense.
[video] 5:34 Don't microwave your food.
[video] 5:56 Jesus. This girl is completely doomed. So it's just not helping her.
[video] 6:23 I'm making a mayonnaise sauce that someone actually asked me about in my previous video. What's her definition of fresh? None of this stuff is fresh whatsoever. And I'm adding my veggie leftovers. I just cut up a bunch of veggies the other day when I got the Chinese food so that I could use those throughout the week. Just heat them up in the microwave seamer and throw them onto my...
6:43 It's a typical starvation meal and the reason she adds all of those spices, the mayonnaise, is because she wants a savory animal-based meal, which is why she adds the mayonnaise with all of that stuff. She's trying to somehow imitate it, but it's impossible.
[video] 6:57 I had some avocado toast on the side. I love bread with soup. What a classic little combo. And like buttered bread is obviously delicious, amazing, but like avocado toast...
7:09 Did she just say that avocado toast is more nutritious and filling than toast with butter? That's what I understood, which is of course ridiculous because avocados really have no nutrients compared to butter. Butter has the fat-soluble vitamins, at least, which you can't get from avocados at all. Of course, everybody likes butter toast better than toast with avocado. Just everybody. And there's a reason for that.
[video] 7:36 Tried pepper, everything but the bagel seasoning.
7:38 Everybody in general prefers animal fat over avocado. The reason a lot of people eat avocados nowadays is because they believe that animal fat is unhealthy, especially a lot of the girls.
[video] 7:50 And then I dip that in my soup and it's delicious. And yeah, this basically just like, this video is just like semi-homemade meals, which is like my mom's favorite thing to do. Something I grew up with is like taking processed foods and making them a little fresher, like adding some things that are cooked from scratch mixed in.
8:10 Did she just really? Oh my god. Oh my god, that's disgusting, man. Avocado toast dipped in bean soup? It's like a joke.
[video] 8:20 With the processed foods, and it's like, you know, a little more realistic way to live. Obviously you can't make everything from scratch, but you don't want to eat only processed foods either. Anyways. That meal was one of the saddest I've ever seen in my whole life. And it's also interesting, I don't know how old she is, but she looks like she's...
8:50 mentally already 40-50 years old and she dresses that way also and she eats bean soup. What's going on in her head?
[video] 8:58 Spicy ramen by putting some milk sort of thing in there and some cheese sort of thing in there. This is some proper self-destructive behavior. Without adding any healthful ingredients at all. Sometimes you just want some spicy cheesy ramen, you don't want it to be healthy at all. You just want to enjoy life in that sense. But today, I'm showing you how I make it when I want to be a little healthier. You know, I want to add some fiber, veggies, protein, whatever. Add a little something something. And so, I cut up some veggies that I had in the fridge that I needed to use, and I saw-
9:28 Think about this once. Why can you not explain why vegetables are healthy? Why do you just blindly say, I added vegetables to the meal and that's what made it healthy? That's it, no explanation, no thoughts.
[video] 9:40 And I added some canned coconut milk for the creaminess aspect of it. I also added some frozen peas. Again, I love frozen protein options, just throw into stuff. And I added a couple slices of cheese. I'm making this for my roommate and I. and you know i don't really love this cheese the only good thing she has added in the whole day also shredded cheese would probably work better too but there's something about the adding the slices to the top of it that's just a little bit fun it's the only healthy ingredient which she actually doesn't realize is healthy she probably thinks that's an unhealthy ingredient ramen and then I also added the barbecue sauce and I added in the broccoli and the mushrooms and then I made my mac and cheese as usual and yeah that's pretty much it it was really good pretty simple just wanted to show a way to
10:35 Clearly she has very strong animal fat protein, just general animal food cravings, which she doesn't really want to listen to. Before that she had actual cheese and now she uses vegan mac and cheese and that's simply because she again blindly believes that it's healthy. There's no real reasoning behind it. The same reason she again adds broccoli. Why? She doesn't know.
[video] 10:57 more of a meal and add some fiber and protein, but still satisfy that boxed mac and cheese craving.
11:04 Yeah, she really wants cheese and meat.
[video] 11:07 And last but not least, we have a little dessert slash snack option. Taking a dessert item, aka Nutella, vegan Nutella, and making it into somewhat more of a filling and healthy snack you know I was going through somewhat of like a vegan Nutella phase for a while in the past few months before I ran out of my Nutella but now I bought more but anyways I love apples as a snack and I love eating them with peanut butter and Nutella is full of inflammatory plant oils in general the vegan kind must be the same if not worse instead of just having like Nutella in like a dessert way I can still enjoy the Nutella on a regular basis but eat it with like apples and mix it with peanut butter to make it a little more like of a filling thing you know and the peanut butter adds like some protein and healthy fat makes it more filling and the apple adds fiber and today I also added some pretzel chips peanuts also add phytic acid, aflatoxins apples as a fruit are really some of the worst because they have no micronutrients to speak of just nothing
[video] 12:06 as like another like crunchy but like healthier than other fried chips option, you know? So I'm making this little snack platter for me and my roommate to eat while we're watching a show and yeah, it's delicious, it's great. Anyways.
12:20 You could also snack on some pork rinds, which is what you actually want.
[video] 12:25 Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoyed.
12:27 I just looked her up and it looks like she's in her mid-20s. It really feels like she has given up on life, the way she dresses and what she eats. It really seems quite depressing in a way. It reminds me of that girl's life from Siberia. Really just no motivation to live, just the whole mood of the video and the way she talks. There's just no life force left anymore and it's not a surprise because of what she eats. Plants in general don't have over 15 micronutrients and even though she ate some animal foods here and there, tiny pieces, it really isn't gonna help because that stuff is cooked to death. She should be eating a lot of animal foods and also some raw animal foods. This would bring her life was back and the videos wouldn't have this mood, which is really almost unbearable for anybody on the outside to watch.
13:23 For me to watch it for the first time now was really... I just really almost couldn't. Somebody who is subscribed to her and watches her all of the time may not find it as bad, but that's because they are probably in a similar mood themselves anyway, and they are learning that they will make their meals more nutritious by adding broccoli, spinach and whatnot to them. Again, just no thinking, really. You never question why you even believe that. It's really just a blind religious belief at the end of the day. Thanks for watching.
