This is when I got my first console. We didn't have a name for it in Latvia. The kids simply called it the thing that you play games on. Nobody called it anything specific. We had the yellow cartridges. I believe that's what you call them. We put them in when they didn't work. We blew on them and then it worked again Maybe you remember that also. I don't know why but it always worked. Maybe there really was dust Inside and that's why it didn't work. We didn't really think about it, but that's what everybody did Only

Latvia is a post-Soviet country, it was at the time, in the 90s, and we didn't have any of the original cartridges and later on the PlayStation 1 discs that they sold, those were pirated discs, I don't know where they came from. maybe from Russia. The movies that we rented, the VHS tapes, those were some kind of Russian tapes. Those were not original movies that came from Hollywood or wherever. It didn't come from the original distributors, the companies. That's why they were so cheap.

So C is always C. C. Oh, there was another game that I just remembered. Yeah, but even imitating sports. And sports themselves are an imitation of hunting. Playing sports games is even dumber.

We played sort of shooting games. We imitated that. We just played around and we played tag and all of these games all the time.

18:18 I didn't have a console to play it on. Well, I guess this one, but nobody had a Zelda game. All right, this is number 100. I did actually go through all of them. This is actually pretty interesting for me to watch. Yeah, I recognized, I played... Overall, maybe 95%. There were a few in the middle and at the end that I didn't recognize, at least right away. I skipped through them quickly, but I think that I would have recognized them. Still, having played 95% of these games, that's pretty hardcore. That's not really a good sign. During this time, we also played Sega games. I don't know what kind of a console that was. Was it a Sega console? I have no idea. You could play Sonic on that console, for example. It had better graphics than the NES games. And then the PlayStation 1 came out.

I never thought about these games. ever since I played them, but I still remember them as if it was yesterday. And we played the racing game of Crash Bandicoot. I think that was an imitation of Mario Kart, really. Which I never played, but I know that I'm pretty sure that they basically just stole the idea.

24:33 Oh my fucking god, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, man. You wouldn't even believe how much I played this. It was completely crazy. And all the music... Now, thinking back at it... Maybe Tony Hawk's Pro Skater got me into alternative music. In reality, that was really just mainstream music. But at the time, that's what it seemed like to me. Sum 41 and The Offspring and whatever. That's when I got more into rock music, which is what I believed back then. In reality, that's just stupid pop rock, but... When you compare that to Britney Spears and whatever, Backstreet Boys, what people were listening to back then, it seems different. It is, but very slightly only. Really, it's the same thing, just stupid MTV music.

We came back, we realized it was a prank, but he was still sitting there just playing. He was so addicted or whatever, he was so lost in the game that he kept playing, even though everybody else ran outside. Yeah, that's how dedicated children are to it, if you can call it that. That's how obsessed and addicted they are to games. But yeah, we had these tournaments where we crossed out the names, the people who lost, and then you had the one versus one at the end who won. Yeah, this is what we did with Tekken Mortal Kombat.

But when it comes to doing the tricks, all the extreme stuff, that's really not worth it whatsoever.

I don't know if this is the exact Twisted Metal I played. I played this one also, but for the most part, because it had this electric ball that you shoot out. Every car had a special weapon and then it would suck in the people and explode and it would freeze them and then you can attack them.

They paid to play the PlayStation if they didn't have one at home, but then they replaced the PlayStations with computers in the end completely there were actually there was one PlayStation left I remember yeah and somebody was always still playing it but yeah that was actually funny in the corner even though back in the day it was only PlayStations and it was all replaced with PCs yeah and

I only way later found out that you pronounce it RuneScape. I don't even understand to this day what it's supposed to mean. Run, escape makes a lot more sense to me, but whatever. I guess it's about the runes that you collect or something. Runescape? I don't really get it, but whatever. Maybe somebody can explain. Whatever, I don't care anyway. In 2006, it must have been, when I was 16, I think, maybe a bit before that, I saw somebody play this.

And I just wanted to create an account for fun to have twin accounts because from the spelling, it looked almost the same. We later actually did something with that. I'll show you what I mean. 46:05 And so what's interesting about it is in 2005 he was born. Oh, really? Oh, so I was playing in 2005. Oh, okay. Oh, so I started when I was 15. Oh, okay, I didn't even remember that. Huh, interesting. Wait, how does that make sense, really?

Cut down trees, fight, hunt, not prey, of course. I didn't focus on any of the other stuff, because I didn't care about it. I only wanted to improve the strength and the attack. And the magic, the range, shooting the arrows, because that's what you use to fight against other players. It was called PKing, player killing. I only did some of the other skills because you needed them for quests, which then gave you the armor or the weapons specifically in my case, I think, and the magic and whatever, all that stuff.

47:33 and i think what nobody knows i think i never talked about this is that the music was actually taken from the video was inspired by a counter-strike frag movie i'll show you one afterwards but i was watching those frag movies all the time and this was completely inspired by counter-strike actually

48:14 my account was very special and that's why i was so popular in the game when i walked around in the game everybody knew me in the game basically kind of because everybody knew my videos everybody seemed to like the videos because of the music i used they were also pretty well edited More than other people who made videos at the time. They just put on some music over some clips and that's it. I actually put some work into the videos. But yeah, it was also popular because it's very hard to have one defense and very high strength and attack. Later on I had one defense and 99 attack and strength. And HP and magic and range. Oh, range, I already had 99 here. 94 magic, I think, because you could do Ice Barrage. How I remember all of these terms. You gotta understand I haven't looked into RuneScape in a million years.

I don't think that there was an account like mine. I think there was maybe one guy who had an account like mine with a 99 strength and attack and one defense because some people tried it, but they messed up. They accidentally hit something. You only had to switch to the wrong

I remember but it was not a lot of damage, which is why I didn't gain To defense that would have ruined my account. I was always very perfectionistic and i still am to this day with whatever i do so this account needed to be perfect to me i don't know if i would have continued if it had two defense it needed to have one defense and 99 attack and strength it just had to i made it perfect on purpose this is how i've been doing everything in my life yeah

Basically, what happened in this game is that you enter the wilderness, which is the skull right there in the corner, the 22, and the higher you go up, the higher of a range... can attack you the combat levels meaning that if you're level 90 when you go to 22 up to 112 can attack you and the maximum was like i don't know 125 or something i don't even remember what the maximum level was in runescape if you have 99 defense then your combat level is the maximum it can possibly reach

Just like TV shows, kind of just worse because you play them over and over again. You finish a game, you play it again because it's never enough. You play RuneScape forever because it's never enough because you're lost. I probably played RuneScape more than most people.

There was always something inside of me that understood that something strange is going on, or at least for the longest time, but I just didn't get it.
