My YouTube Accounts were Hacked Yesterday

0:03 It's really crazy that I'm making this video for this channel right now. Because yesterday I was sure that it's gone, really sure. Some people were saying YouTube is gonna help you somehow, you're gonna get it back. I didn't have any hope whatsoever. Both of my channels got hacked, Sveri and Goatis. And as you may have noticed, Goatis is completely gone, wiped from the internet so to speak. And I was sure that this one will be too. I didn't even really have any doubts anymore.

0:33 My password has changed. I noticed that one hour after it happened, because it says when it was changed when you try to log in, and I know something is up, obviously. And then, the first 10 to 20 minutes, I was slightly stressed about it, thinking of what to do, obviously. And then, Afterwards when I realized that I'm never gonna get back into those accounts because they did a really good job I was just Thinking this is retarded It's so retarded that it's funny. It's just like, what can I do? As you may have known, because if you have met me in real life, I'm just a chill guy. For me, to get worked up over something would be almost impossible.

1:22 So even though I was looking at my channel, which I've had for 15 years, being destroyed, I just... That's what I assumed anyway, that that's what's going to happen. It had to, basically. I was just thinking, whatever. I also went to bed normally, sort of. I was tired and that's it in the evening, but let's go back to when it happened. And what I want to say, actually, before that is that If you are a YouTuber, even if you have like 100 subscribers and you ever want to do it, and if you care about your channel, really follow every security measure that YouTube and Google has to offer. Because now I have basically on all of my emails, and my YouTube anyway, Google authentication, which is really important because it goes through your phone and nobody else can do anything. Of course, except if they get your phone.

Because if you saw what happened, it turned into a Japanese crypto channel and they were live streaming. It had a countdown of like 1 hour 30. There were some links in there, which I guess was supposed to lure people in to scam them, whatever, obviously didn't click on them. And then I think because I made the videos on Bell's channel and on my other channel, Call Modem, to report it or to send the feedback, whatever, I was just saying, do anything. That's most likely why it was terminated. It says that it was...

3:37 deleted because of breaking the community guidelines. I can't imagine anything else except if YouTube somehow all of a sudden notice it or they have some program that detects it. Suspicious activity. That was happening and I thought, oh, now they're gonna do it to Svedi. I was already ready, that's why... I was actually... When that was happening and all of the videos were deleted from Godis, I had to calm down Bell. I was the chill one in this situation, even though it was my channels. She was freaking out, going back and forth, thinking what to do. I said, chill, chill. It happened. I'm not gonna be able to do anything. The only thing here that we can do is to wait for YouTube to do something. It's just out of our hands. And that's another thing I want to tell you. If you ever get your account hacked or hijacked as they call it, only contact YouTube, except if something changes in the future, and I really hope so because it's impossible to contact them, do it through Twitter.

4:35 That was the only way we got the form to fill out after seven hours. trying to contact them and going back and forth incredibly slowly and some people say it takes days for them and that would have been definitely too late for this channel.

It's more of a warning and just so you understand why my channel is gone and why this one was almost gone, which think or really hope that now is safe. I don't really see how they could possibly do anything to this now because I have every security measure possible that they offer.

6:10 Anyway... This may sound crazy to you, but this is the best, one of the best things that could have happened. Like the outcome, like I'm happy about the outcome, because I was sure that both of my channels are gone. Now, Goatis is gone, but my main channel is still there, which I'm obviously proud of and everything that I've done on this channel over the years. Goatis was for doing commentaries and live streams. It sucks that it's gone. If you told me yesterday, we are deleting your channel tomorrow, or I would know that my channel will be deleted tomorrow, I would have said, that's horrible. But when you compare it to what could have been and what I thought would be, then this is a really good outcome that only Goatis is gone. So that's the way I see it, because...

7:04 I can re-upload all of the videos still on it, just make a new channel called Goatis Maybe it will take many months to get back to like whatever 10,000 subscribers, let's say it had 54 exactly Actually while it was hacked it got to 54 But whatever, if I can have this channel and then also promote the videos on there It could be so incredibly much worse that this is really awesome, basically. That's the way I see it anyway.

7:39 That's it, really. Right now I'm just waiting for YouTube to respond about GOTYS because it was deleted because of something that I did not do. They noticed, they wrote in the email that Yes, we agree, or we noticed, or whatever, we agree because I filled out the form that your account was compromised, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It has been deleted permanently. Then it said on, well, it said that on the other email where there was a live stream notification that they did. And because of that it was deleted. But then again, it says you can also appeal it, so it's not really permanent, because I know that people who get their accounts banned because of community guidelines strikes can usually appeal it, so it shouldn't be permanent. I know that if you yourself delete the channel, that it's permanent nowadays. It didn't used to be like that, but that's YouTube since 2020, from what I understand.

8:35 But that's not what they did, from what it appears, because when you click on the channel, it says delete because of breaking the community guidelines. So I'm still... I'm not really hoping, I'm not gonna say that I don't care, I would like to have the channel back even if the videos are deleted, I would just reupload them. At the end of the day I would still have the subscribers. But like I said, even if not, I'll just very likely start anew, go this channel and it could just be so much worse that...

9:23 I just hope that YouTube will understand that I didn't... They wrote to me themselves that it was compromised, so they should understand that it's a no... Well, you can say it's my fault that I got hacked or whatever, but really it's not my fault that it was banned, because I didn't do any of that... Alright... I guess this is just a good warning video for anybody. I never thought it would happen to me, but a lot of people will probably think that. And from what I heard from other people when this happened yesterday, this has happened to a lot of people and bigger YouTubers than me also. Alright.
