0:00 Hi guys, I'm gonna be reviewing a video called Eating only raw food for 24 hours in Japan by Ryan Lin.

[video] 0:17 Hey guys, we just went from New York City to Korea and our next stop is Japan.

0:21 Japan is known for a lot of- The first thing that I notice is that he looks very pale, as if he never goes out into the sun, which may be possible because he's a model. A lot of them get manipulated to never go out into the sun because they are afraid that it will do some kind of damage, even though it's actually anti-aging and makes you look healthy. When you look this pale, it doesn't look healthy anymore.

0:50 People all over the earth are brainwashed not to go out into the sun. It's especially prevalent in Asia, but he's American himself.

[video] 1:01 ...things, but especially their raw food. So I thought what better video to make than eating only raw food for 24 hours in Japan. Alright, I'm so excited, let's get right into the video! I have made it to the Kuromo Market! There's so many people.

1:13 A lot of people may be wondering why raw food is so popular in Japan. There may be many reasons for it. Maybe they just never got manipulated as much as people in the so-called West. although there's still a lot of raw dishes everywhere on Earth. But in Japan, it's very easy to actually live off of raw food because it's so easily available everywhere. And the meat is really good quality meat for the most part.

1:45 My own belief about it is that because beef was largely banned for a very long time there, Maybe they really just got obsessed with animal foods and they were so malnourished that they wanted to eat raw animal foods a lot. But who knows.

[video] 2:05 Oh my god, I see raw food. Oh, definitely raw. Is that even edible?

2:11 Yeah, is that even edible? That's funny. That's just sashimi basically, right? The salmon, if that's what it is, that's what it looks like, kind of looks farmed. But I also wouldn't expect to see wild caught salmon necessarily there. Farmed salmon is everywhere today.

[video] 2:34 I actually have like a chronic fear of raw food. It's kind of nasty.

2:38 It's kind of nasty. Oh, man, that's funny. It's just what humans naturally eat. It's not as if anybody in Japan, their mindset, they love it.

[video] 2:48 I'm scared. All of these stores are super unique and so cute. It's so kawaii! What's up, buddy? They have little high puffer fishes. So, I'm looking at some puffer fish right now, and they're raw. Is it safe? Maybe. Maybe. Let's do it. Thank you. Live puffer fish. That's actually crazy. I don't even eat cooked fish in general. I'm going to get a good bite. Not bad. That's not bad at all. That's pretty good. This is freaking good.

3:22 Technically, he's not only eating raw food, seeing as the soy sauce or whatever is not raw. But I get the point of this video. It's raw meat and whatever else he will be eating.

[video] 3:43 So pleasantly surprised by that pufferfish. I can't believe I enjoy eating pufferfish. Tomorrow, you die. Alright, well hopefully I don't die tomorrow. Let's see what's next. Man, look at it. All of these raw dishes. It's so cool.

4:06 living in japan as a raw foodist is awesome as far as i've heard some of my subscribers live there and have been there

[video] 4:25 four different cuts of tuna honestly it doesn't look that bad i'm pretty excited to try that i'm excited this piece and obviously the rice is also not raw but again that's okay not gonna get technical about it i get the point of this video okay

[video] 4:54 It's fishy. Okay. It feels like I just grabbed the fish from the lake and bit into it. That's what it feels like. There's a lot of getting used to. We have another cut. All right.

5:05 It's actually really crazy when you think about it that people need to get mentally prepared to eat what all humans in nature eat anyway. Because they're so not used to the texture, the taste, even the smell. Because nowadays when it's loaded with salt, spices and whatnot, you cannot even smell the way it really smells like. And when it's cooked, usually you couldn't... smell it anyway properly, even if it wasn't full of salt and spices. And then the texture obviously of cooked food is completely dry and tough, not juicy, full of moisture.

5:47 and also the way it looks like it's just all different we just eat completely artificial fake food even when we are eating actual real food it's been altered so much that it's basically fake really tells you a lot about what's going on today my second raw tuna sushi this one looks fattier

6:17 From what I've heard, they catch the tuna wild, but then they fatten them up afterwards. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's where you get these fat tuna cuts.

[video] 6:30 Oh, that was really good. That didn't taste that fishy. I think that's why I really liked it. Okay, okay. My third piece.

[video] 6:43 That was really good as well. Oh my God.

6:47 haven't eaten today yet this actually makes me hungry only really when i look at raw food i actually get hungry interesting

[video] 7:04 Maybe they really have a good mood all the time if that's what they eat. Doesn't matter if there's rice and whatever. If the meat that you eat is raw for the most part,

7:32 Yeah, of course, you will have a way better mood than other people.

[video] 7:37 Raw oyster.

7:39 One of my favorites. Ooh. And Japanese oysters are especially good.

[video] 7:46 Can I get a small one, too? Sashimi or barbecue? Sashimi, raw.

8:06 Ah, come on man, the stupid sauce. Okay, I get it, but oysters the way they are naturally... Okay, these are farmed technically, but I don't think that they would be very different. I feed them wild oysters also, they all taste the same. They taste awesome as they are. But okay, he's not used to it. Still, he should try one at least without any sauce.

[video] 8:32 Alright, raw oysters.

8:46 What the fuck is up with this guy?

[video] 8:54 I can't do that. I can't do that. I can't do that. I don't even know what to say. I honestly do not know what to say. I thought I could take it. And then as I was chewing it, I suddenly, like, I uncontrollably threw up. Like, I just threw it up. Like, I couldn't control it. I'm sorry. I feel bad. But it's really good. It's really good. I kind of feel really embarrassed because I just threw it up.

9:24 I think that it's the texture because if he really means it, that it's really good, maybe he tasted it. Okay, he tastes the sauce most likely more than anything else. But still, you taste the nutrients in the first place anyway. And then the texture is just too overwhelming because you're not used to it. That's it. That's why you get a gag reflex and you want to throw it up because it's basically foreign to your body based on what you've been eating your whole life. Not actually naturally, it's actually natural for the body obviously. Once you switch to only eating raw food, cooked food may even become strange to you. So it just depends on how you grow up.

[video] 10:09 In front of everyone, at the store.

10:14 And also to make another point, there's even dogs that get used to eating cooked food, I think even cats, and they cannot get used to eating raw food, which is what they also eat in nature, raw meat. Meaning that any animal, as far as we can see, can actually get manipulated into eating what they're not naturally supposed to eat.

[video] 10:37 Sad. Oh, boonie time.

10:42 Uni is a sea urchin, right? One of the best tasting foods. Really highly recommended.

[video] 10:50 One more bite.

[video] 11:04 Not that bad. Uni was a little bit challenging, but I managed to eat everything. I managed to swallow it, which I'm really proud of. It was also really fishy. It's okay. That was really good.

11:13 That was a really good experience He should go and eat some steak tartare Some kind of raw beef dishes. They have all kinds of raw foods there. Hopefully he still will not only fish

11:38 The eggs look really... orange, almost red. Beef tartare. Nice. Okay.

[video] 11:45 Let's mix the beef tartare. The egg yolk is kind of like a sauce. Everything's raw today. I was looking on the menu and there's so many good cooks on. I could only order from the raw menu. It freaking sucks, but I have enjoyed all the raw food I ate today. I think I might enjoy this. This looks good. I can't believe I'm saying raw food looks good. I'm gonna get a big bite Wait, that's so freaking good. It's like so soft and it's kind of sweet. Wow, that's so freaking good

12:16 Actually, I want to make a point here if it's hard for you for whatever reason to get into eating raw meat raw eggs, whatever kind of raw foods Then I would rather recommend Using some kind of sauces as they do here to get used to the raw texture Later on you won't need them rather than Keeping eating the cooked food because it's the texture really, because it seems so foreign to your body that you need to get used to at first. So even if it means that you will be using some kind of sauces which are not healthy overall, it's still better than doing the same with cooked food anyway, because you will be using the sauces anyway with the cooked food. So you might as well just switch to raw food and still keep using the sauces. It's still going to be better. And then you get used to the texture.

[video] 13:15 Oh yeah, nice, nice. Alright!

13:31 Oh man, Japan is so cool. You just go to the store, to the restaurant, maybe even store. I think they sell in stores also some kind of raw foods and you just buy cow heart. Okay, technically you can buy it in a lot of places, but it's just cool that they sell these dishes that it's so normal to eat there. That's what I mean, because you can't do it in almost any other country. Maybe in Ethiopia, there's a lot of raw meat dishes. Yeah. siberia kind of not like this i think that's about it japan is really maybe the number one place on earth for people who want to get used to eating raw food you could just take a trip to japan for a month and go to restaurants all the time at least you get used to the texture then you go back home and eat raw foods you keep doing it i don't really know about this but i'm gonna dip it in my raw egg yolk sauce and just pray for the best

14:28 really just tastes like any muscle meat there is a difference but not very big it's just the idea people are just so lost and removed from nature that the stupid face that he makes because he's not used to it whatsoever there isn't really any big difference oh my god

15:05 It's just the idea of what you're eating because you've been told over and over again that it's maybe dangerous or Who knows what evil, because of horror movies, raw meat, blood, and blah blah blah, only the evil guy eats that. It's always associated with something bad.

[video] 15:28 One more try, one more try.

[video] 15:39 Yeah, because mussel meat is more bland You wouldn't really taste

16:02 that much because there's not many nutrients so it doesn't have that much of a taste that's also why when you eat raw meat and you just stick to muscle meat it's gonna get sort of boring after a while which is why people may start using some kind of sauces or whatnot look at the recipe book of ajnas Whereas when you eat liver, spleen, it has such a rich taste because of the nutrients. And if it comes from healthy animals, it has a really good taste. The rich taste is a good thing. It shouldn't be a rich taste which makes it taste bitter in some way of pudding.

[video] 16:46 Raw food is so good.

[video] 16:55 Wow, my life has changed. 10 out of 10, challenge finished. First of all, my life has changed because raw food, some raw food is so frickin' good, and Japan's raw food, I feel like it's extra good. Wow, that was such an experience. I would say this challenge was definitely a hard challenge. If you enjoyed me eating raw food for 24 hours in Japan, so many more vlogs to come. Hit that follow, things will pop up, things will pop up. Thank you so much for watching. It was a yummy video. Some of it was yummy, some of it.

17:23 It would have been interesting to see him eating only actual raw foods. No rice, no sauces, but okay, I didn't actually expect that. I assumed that he would be eating at some restaurants, which is what they offer there still. better than in any other country as far as I know because there you will be getting cooked foods with the same sauces or maybe even worse I don't know what the sauces are made out of maybe they don't use as many seed oils they probably do but I would just assume

18:01 that the food in Japan is simply better overall, the quality, because if a population eats a lot more raw foods then of course you also watch out that the food comes from healthy farms, that there is not that many toxic chemicals which are used for the production and therefore whatever they use when they create these raw food dishes it'll probably all be a lot healthier.

18:37 It was interesting to see him almost gagging, trying to like it for the video. He seems like a nice guy. It's all right to express yourself though. If you are not used to it, that's okay. Just try it again. And again, if you really want to, of course, he probably won't. He's just doing a trip in Japan. but for you if you're watching and you actually want to start eating raw foods as i said eating raw foods with some kind of sauces if you really just cannot do it any other way that's okay seeing as as i said you would be using the same sauces for the cooked food most likely anyway, if you make steak tartare with egg yolks, but it's just strange at first and you want to add some kind of sauce to it, which reminds you of the food that you used to eat, then do that.

19:34 Otherwise, as I've said in other videos, I'm completely 100% against fasting, starvation, If you really want to feel true hunger and you want to do a little bit of so-called fasting, then your body is gonna be so hungry for food that you're just gonna eat anything. And then when you see beef tartare in front of you,

20:02 Pieces of beef or just minced beef with egg yolks It will look like heaven to you You will crave the fat so much the meat and you will eat it with more pleasure than you would when you are Drugged up because of sexual drugs and the food that we eat today your taste buds are all messed up and You're just addicted basically when you feel through hunger The hunger is very different and then you will appreciate raw food a lot more. Thanks for watching.
