0:00 Hi, I'm gonna be reviewing Sam Selleck's latest What I Eat In A Day video. It starts off with boiling water and seeds, oats, oh my god, man. Even the... People starving in the UK hated eating this. They only ate it because there was no meat, no animal foods at all left. They were almost dying. And this guy actually eats it on purpose and then promotes it as if it's good to eat that. And that's how crazy he is.

[video] 0:44 You're not doing the regular kind of car cam every time we do these little full-day meetings. But plan for today.

0:52 Hey, his hair is gone. Huh, interesting.

[video] 1:07 bodybuilder lingo, because I mean, the older approach with dieting was you just had a coach tell you a meal plan, and then you weren't worried about how many calories of chicken was I eating. You're worried about, okay, I want to make sure I eat eight ounces with this meal, because that's the program. But it's so confined, you know, you're so limited. So that's where there's kind of an in-between, you know, because I like the idea of the flexible dieting. You know, you eat specific foods at specific times based on like how many calories they do have or whatever else. But there are certain constraints that you still have to follow because, I mean, obviously we would all love going to the cupboard, going to the kitchen, whatever you want, eat whatever you want, still hit your dieting goals.

1:36 slam a pint of ben and jerry's you're still burning fat right that'd be awesome you can eat whatever you want whenever you want to as long as the food is natural then you can never go wrong you don't have to live like a slave following this regime these rules not exactly the case so if i can't eat anything i have to eat only a certain amount per day then what that leads me to believe

[video] 2:00 steady rate and I'm eating foods that are going to make me feel full. If I eat this little bowl of oatmeal and then I felt hungry 30 minutes later, what was the point, right? I just kind of wasted the 60 grams of carbs that are in this because they're not really satiating me. I mean, I've only gotten, let me pull up the amounts again. I just dropped it a little bit too.

2:19 He has like a special power. No matter what videos he makes, they are always insanely boring. This is something that I've never seen and this video is over an hour long. Obviously, I'm not gonna watch most of it. probably one-fourth at most, that will already be torture. But just him talking about anything, it's incredibly hard to listen to him. It's unbearable. I don't understand how anybody watches his videos, let alone the full one-hour videos. It's crazy.

[video] 2:53 Because I was getting kind of stuck at about 2.49.

3:00 What 2.49? What numbers? Man, what are you... What is this life? are you doing with your life lifting metal up and down and then counting some kind of symbols and eating seeds which even the as i said people who were starving in the uk didn't want to eat 250 grams of protein 70 of fat and 300 carbs right that's my limit so that's what i'm aiming for for the whole day and i didn't just you know look that up like that's written

[video] 3:28 I mean, it says arrayed. There, you see? And you plug in whatever amounts you want. And any macro tracking app is the same shit. I think the MyFitnessPal gets a little complicated, so I like one of the simpler ones. So that's what I have to work with. Actually, I had 250 written there.

3:41 Also, where did this idea come from in the bodybuilding community to only count the calories, the macronutrients and completely leave out the micronutrients? I've pretty much never seen any of them talk about it. That's obviously because they don't care about health. We get that, but do they really get it themselves? It's really unclear.

4:08 Oats don't have over 15 micronutrients. Really, they only have sugar. It's the same as eating candy with anti-nutrients, so it's worse than candy.

4:19 He just puts up a bowl of something worse than candy with boiling water and then actually acts as if he's eating something which isn't complete poison garbage.

[video] 4:30 I'm going to change it to 300. But that's my limit. So I've got from now, 11.30, because I did morning cardio, kind of waited a little bit. I usually wait until around noon-ish to have my first meal. But I've got from now until when I go to bed, probably about 11.30. So that's 12 hours to eat 2830 calories.

4:55 So that would mean that... Yeah, but the food that you're eating is not even digestible. Do you not get it somehow? If you're eating oats, how many calories do you get out of them compared to what's written on the package? Half? Maybe that would be good. More likely 30-40%. That's how little you can get out of seeds. There's anti-nutrients. It's also in the fiber, which you cannot break down. Plus, there's a lot of artificial chemicals, which are harmful for your fertility, such as glyphosate.

[video] 5:40 Man, actually this incredibly reminds me of the video that the guy made. I was actually looking for a different video, but then I saw this one. Let's just check it out quickly.

[video] 6:09 So I am about 20 minutes away from the gym. And looking forward to getting this arm day started. I've actually been finding myself enjoying doing some supersetting. Or maybe not supersetting, maybe I guess sort of an extended, high intensity form of arms.

[video] 6:42 You know, when you combine, say, arms with your other major pull days, it sort of acts as a way that you can hit more things.

7:04 It's just so on point. I actually wanted to show you this other guy.

[video] 7:09 Hey man, I got your stuff for you. So here's the two. That's what you're going to put in the needles. Take these after your workout. You take it before, you might have like a caffeine sensitivity reaction to it. This is the natural insulin. You don't want to like mix that with the magnesium pills. I mean, you want to take two of those prior to eating. It'll just, it'll be on some bad side effects. So just be careful. Oh, you said you wanted extra.

[video] 7:37 they're just making fun of his drug use it's funny though all right i was thinking of this video by eric kanevsky actually three birds with one stone on the super ride seeing that our engine fails this unfortunate morning but you know

[video] 7:57 You know, gotta stay on point with the macros. Otherwise, you know, what is even the fucking point of hitting your upper chest, you know?

8:06 He also has those red cheeks to imitate the acne.

[video] 8:32 Got some good old Sleman Toast Crunch.

[video] 8:42 The part of that I find the most ludicrous. My apologies, let me finish consuming the entirety of my breakfast.

[video] 8:59 we all know this, chicken, rice, steak, milks, you know, more conventional protein sources.

9:06 And then, you know, that kind of just leads me into like... Wow, there's a cat up there. Anyway, do you see what I see? He totally looks like that guy from Breaking Bad, the son of Walter. Totally, totally like him with the hair. Totally his face. could be playing his double or whatever if he was sick. Too much muscle, too many tumors everywhere, but if he wouldn't be so obese, he could have totally played him. Same guy, must be his brother or something.

[video] 9:44 How I'm sort of changing my approach with it.

9:47 Look at that, man. It's him. It's the guy from Breaking Bad.

[video] 9:51 ...dieting in general because, you know, it's really like the simpler the better. You know, like I'm not trying to slam as many zero-carb buns and like tortillas as I might have used to. Just because, you know, 55 grams of just plain rice is gonna kind of fill me up as much as I would expect.

10:06 I don't understand who watches these videos. Who cares about oats, rice, cereal, whatever? I don't get it. Fill you up? This whole video is meaningless.

[video] 10:16 And trying to get around it, at least with a lot of the fat-free buns, if you ever get into that, or the carb-free buns, they end up making you a little bit bloated and gassy if you eat too many of them. So it's kind of like too much of a good thing.

10:29 Yeah, because it's indigestible, because you're not supposed to eat it.

10:41 There he is again, suffering, hating his life.

[video] 10:54 I'm not done. I'll make that little rest pause. So we got six. Well now I got another one. But if I take 20 seconds, I'm not gonna, this is only one set, but I'm coming back for a vengeance. This is like a, this set is like two rounds. It's still the same fight. But I totally got four more.

11:17 Strange videos, because you're doing the most boring thing on earth anyway. I never understood why people watched workout videos. It's just the worst videos. I would rather watch somebody cutting grass, taking care of a tree, playing the piano. Something which is unbearable to watch anyway, but...

11:41 This is just... And then you make an hour-long video of it.

11:48 Hey, why does he film this and why does he upload it and why do people watch it? I really don't get it. I don't get it at all. Somebody tell me, why do you watch this?

12:14 I've basically watched a combined minutes of five all together. I skipped a lot. And I'm already dying. I can't take the video anymore. I'm probably gonna skip to the end now, because I can't anymore.

[video] 12:31 I guess not.

12:39 That was good though. That was bad, technically.

[video] 12:44 Okay.

12:51 Oh my God, the sounds that he's making, like he's about to vomit.

[video] 12:55 All right.

[video] 13:00 Let's find some ear space. Guess I ended up actually lying about having some shoulders during this chest workout. But that is okay. Frankly, I need to get out of a shoulder zone. They're freaking too big. And I don't mean too big like in the scheme of infinity, but relative to my arms and my chest. They're too big in proportion. So that's what I mean. Too big. Honestly, that thought process shouldn't even go through my mind. But too big relatively, that's something I can...

13:28 What do you mean? You can be too big and you are. You have bigorexia. It's body dysmorphia. It's a mental illness. That's what you have. You don't get it or what? It's not normal to drag yourself up and to pump yourself up to the point where you look Not human anymore. Not like a man or a human in general. You just don't even resemble it anymore. There's something wrong with you. You must understand that.

[video] 13:59 A lot of people have overdeveloped, let's just say, upper portions of their body. And the lower portion doesn't exactly match. That's exactly what I'm talking about. That proportionality. Something that maybe they need to take action and start to adjust. But... Those people know who they are. And I know that's not you. You do crazy ass sets of leg press and squat on the fucking regular. But let's run through some little chest poses here.

[video] 14:24 Stomach vein inbound. That gets me excited. But let's hit a couple.

14:46 What do you think is going through somebody's head when they pose like this and they just want to achieve this physique which is in their head? They're dreaming of something else, they're trying to fill the emptiness, the void inside of themselves. Nobody ever thinks about this, where this comes from, but it's clearly an illness.

[video] 15:18 These guys are lighter than me, but they look like, well, not even look like, they are insanely developed beefcake open bodybuilders because of their proportionality. And I did put my stuff away. Right? Apart from the occasional plate on a leg press, you gotta unrack your stuff, man. I mean, I've seen two and a half plates left on a squat rack. You guys are nuts. But not you, of course. I mean, people who leave that shit out. But let's get in the car, head back home and eat something. So post-workout meal, kind of a, let's just say an egg-heavy fried rice. So when I microwave that one sort of big pack of like the Uncle Ben's, it's not just one serving. It was like a big one. It's got three and a half servings, right? So I just had a little Tupperware almost a little bit of a meal prep in a way, which is kind of what I'm getting into. The more deep I get into a dieting phase, the more I have to actually kind of sort of refine the process to the point where I'm bulking up now.

[video] 16:17 I mean, I'll have a huge Tupperware just full of white rice ready. So whenever I want to do a chicken or steak or eggs, I can just throw the rice in from the fridge already cooked.

16:26 Alright, so he always has rice, which is again a seed ready, and then it's a bunch of eggs, that's what he said. The eggs are good, of course when you cook them you destroy a lot of the nutrients in general, protein in his case, that's all that he would count. And again, if he counts the calories, then he will count as much as it says that you would get per raw egg. Very likely. Of course, when you cook them, you get way less. And again, he just has no idea. But again, it doesn't really matter in his case, because it's all about the drugs. He's a junkie. You're watching the day of a junkie. Sam Selleck. The life of a junkie. That's all that this is.

[video] 17:13 But this one in particular, I already wrote down all the macros before I tracked them. 30 grams of fat. So 20 of those are from four egg yolks. So that's four whole eggs, 10 egg whites, which usually I'd recommend just get a... like get cartoned eggs whites, so you don't have to throw away the yolks. I just ran out, so I just used the whites instead and separated... Why would you ever throw away the yolks in general?

17:41 I can't imagine any scenario where that should be done. You can throw away the clear seeing as it has Some protein, but not really much altogether, nutrient-wise. But the yolk has everything. It's what would develop into the chicken. It's exactly what you should be eating. That's where everything is at.

[video] 18:07 to save yourself a chore plus it's going to be way more cost effective to get the actual whites instead of separating them you're not wasting the yolks too the other 10 is coming from five grams of fat from the rice because it's flavored you know it kind of has some extra oils added to it another that seed oils 100 horrible

18:30 reason why I usually like just a big red box of the plain minute rice a little more simple just straight carbs nothing else and then five is from the olive oil cooked in the pan right you can't let any of this olive oil oxidizes very quickly when you heat it up you shouldn't be using it for cooking and then also the seed oils all the working out the drugs how long can this guy even live really He's in his early 20s or something now. Until 30 maybe. Could he even live so long? If he continues exactly like this, I would be surprised.

[video] 19:14 Shit fucking slide. You know, five grams of olive oil here and there every time you're cooking something. Let's say you make a steak, you really get the pan kind of greased up. That could be 300 calories that you just went completely unaccounted for. And then suddenly you're telling yourself, dude, I'm already, I'm tracking all my shit. Like I'm at 2,500. Like you could do everything. Track your calories, weigh shit on the scale, you know, eating certain times of the day. But if you're not like completely anal about every calorie, you can kind of screw yourself, you know?

19:44 Yeah, but you can't even be because you're measuring the calories in raw food. That's what almost every bodybuilder does. And when you're eating cooked food, you're sometimes getting 50% of that. It's just impossible to do it. And when you're eating seeds, then the biological value of the food is lower anyway, meaning that you can't get that many calories out of them, again, you're getting less. And then when you cook them, you get even less. And you just have no idea. You just look at the black and white text, which is wrong. It always is, almost always, except if you're looking at raw meat.

[video] 20:23 I'm not saying you have to do that. like in general. But if you want steady fat loss results, if you want steady weight gain results, then you do have to fucking make sure every calorie is accounted for.

20:36 And if you've ever run into... Yeah, but that's exactly not the case. You're probably getting at the very most 50% of the calories that you think you are. And the only reason it's working is because of the drugs. Somebody who watches your videos and doesn't use drugs is not going to succeed. Because what you should be doing is simply listening to your body and eating exactly as much as you need to be eating. Never count anything.

[video] 21:05 I'm not a bodybuilding coach. I don't have an experienced clientele of guys where I gave them these specific tips. But the basics are going to apply to everybody. Eat enough to grow. Don't eat too much to keep getting leaner. Constant cardio and reasonably frequent, at least like...

21:23 Why constant cardio? To have heart failure even quicker? I just don't get the reason.

[video] 21:32 Five times a week lifts will put you in a much better state to make whatever gains are that you want to make.

21:40 Five times a week, you're going to be reducing your lifespan like crazy by decades.

[video] 21:47 I'm going to sit here, enjoy all this, pass out, and then I've got morning cardio. So I hope I don't have a dream about it. Sometimes I have that where I dreamt that I went to the gym, did my cardio, and then drove back home. And then I wake up and I'm like, oh shit. Half of me is like convinced I already did it.

22:07 Oh my God, man. What a torturous life. So much suffering for nothing.

22:18 For one thing, everything is cardio anyway that he's doing. He just doesn't get it. But I understand, of course, what he means by cardio. It's unbearable. It's even worse than lifting the metal. Oh my god. Wow, this guy's life. That's crazy. One of the worst lives I've ever seen.

[video] 22:43 And then I have to realize that was just a dream. I still got some shit to do. But until then, I will see you for back, a wide ass back pump tomorrow.

22:53 Not much has changed. He still drinks his pasteurized dairy. with grains and then eat some animal foods here and there. He ate the eggs, I didn't see any meat. Maybe there was something in between. Probably, hopefully, because he can't eat that little. But as I said, it's just all the drugs, that's it. Why he still shows what he eats in a day, I have no idea. Doesn't matter whatsoever. Nobody will ever achieve a physique like him when you eat that. Very likely you would lose muscle if you eat so many grains, any kind of seeds. As I said, the biological value is very low. You can hardly get anything out of them because it's not human food. It's full of anti-nutrients, fiber and a lot of harmful chemicals.

23:49 And then just the suffering non-stop, so much torture day in and day out. He gets a lot of views on YouTube because obviously YouTube pushes these kind of people for a reason, even though his videos are unbearable to watch.

24:06 I would love to hear from somebody who actually watches them. I wonder why somebody would watch him. Maybe some teenagers who are inspired by him. I guess that I would understand that. But that should be very few. It's really just YouTube pushing him like crazy, which is why he gets views. And then he gets a lot of money out of it, which motivates him to go further. And then his own trauma. The bigorexia pushes him, of course, even more. That's the main reason why he does it. Whatever made him do it, something must have really happened in his life, something bad that pushed him over the edge. And now he's just filling his days with lifting metal up and down, pushing it, pulling it.

24:57 And eating seeds all the time. And using drugs. And that's what inspires men today. What's going on? It's like we're living in a comedy movie. How can this even be real? That people watch and support this. And that this is a popular thing to do. Insanity. Thanks for watching.
