0:00 Hi everyone, today I'm going to review yet another video of a woman who is choosing to be a single mother, so to speak. I did this already a few months ago, if you remember this one. Broken family by choice, which is what I put in the thumbnail. And that's true, of course, she chose to have a so-called broken family. And then I got some strange comments, only from women, as far as I can tell. who are saying that a child only needs one parent, one loving parent, as if that's somehow normal. There's really this... kind of cult out there of women who are choosing, if you can say that, to have children by themselves, which is incredibly abnormal. The reason I say choose, so to speak, is because you have to be quite delusional to believe that a child really only needs one parent.
0:59 And this channel
1:04 She privatized her videos. It's not gone, but the videos are gone. People say that it happened because of my video, that may be true, but I was very respectful in my video. Of course, I didn't agree with her decision, because it's child abuse, it's neglect, but I for sure... wasn't in any way disrespectful she simply didn't want to hear the opinions of other people these women only want to listen to other women who tell them that it's good what they are doing which is why i'm here to say no it's not i don't know what this one will say we'll now look at this other one hi everyone and welcome to my channel and welcome to my journey on becoming a single mom by choice my name is caitlyn i'm 34 and will be 35 in april and Again, the same age as the other one
[video] 1:56 in Maryland. So what is a single mom by choice?
2:00 A single mom by choice is someone who see- A single mother by choice can be a lot of stuff. It can be somebody who is not attractive enough to find a mate who will actually stay with her and have a family. It could be that she was also too picky and the good looking guys didn't want to be together with her, but she didn't want to be together with the average guys or somebody who's on her level. I don't know how she used to look like. Now she looks kind of average at best. I would say below average. Maybe she doesn't want to be with a guy who's below average. Maybe she wants to be with some attractive guy. And if that's not possible, then she would rather be a single mother. Because for sure she could find guys who are on her level. What would be the problem? There cannot be a problem. There's tons of guys out there who would love to be together with her. Guys are not picky whatsoever. Nowadays, a single mother by choice can also be somebody who was brainwashed.
2:54 She doesn't understand that children need two parents, that it's actually very traumatic even for a daughter or for a son not to have a father. A single mother by choice can also be somebody with antisocial personality disorder, somebody who hates people. A single mother can be a lot.
[video] 3:14 You can seek out solo motherhood for a variety of different reasons and a variety of different ways. You can seek out motherhood by a sperm donor, an embryo donor, adoption, there's a variety of different ways.
3:27 Yes, all of which is unnatural. And if you cannot naturally create children, then you shouldn't have children, because it's not gonna be good for the children. A child needs a mother and a father. And ideally, of course, the whole family because humans back in the day used to live together as a huge family. It's only today that the children move out, the parents of the parents are in some care home and all of this garbage. They need a lot of children and people around them. They don't need one mother around them. It's incredibly messed up. It can only lead to severe neglect, which is abuse. As a single mother, you're really just choosing a horrible life for your children. You're really only thinking about yourself when it comes to this.
4:21 You're not thinking about your children, which is why, as I said, if you cannot have children naturally, which is through a man, then you shouldn't think about having children. Just think about your children in the first place. Stop thinking about yourself and what you want.
[video] 4:39 It is different than someone who gets pregnant and the relationship doesn't work and they decide to still have the baby and be a solo mom. So how did I...
4:49 What do you mean by that? If the relationship doesn't work, then it doesn't have to mean that you will be a solo mom. It's not as if the fathers simply go away. Sure, there may have been some cases like that in history, but you can both take care of the child. Just because you break up doesn't mean that you'll become a single mother. It doesn't make any sense.
[video] 5:12 Get here. What started off as an egg freezing journey turned into a lot of research and just some soul searching and I was in a seven year relationship and that unfortunately didn't work out. I knew I wanted to be a mom.
5:29 That is really strange. That already says everything about her because how can you be in a relationship for seven years and not have children? That's so incredibly abnormal. If you actually find somebody attractive, then really you should have children with them on the first so-called date, as in right away when you meet them. That's how it always used to be. You find somebody attractive, you reproduce with them. Okay, today in the society I can understand because of finances, blah, blah, blah, that you would think about it for a few weeks, maybe a month or two. I get it. But anything more than even a few months is very abnormal. There has to be a lack of attraction, something has to be wrong there for you to still think about having children. It was either him who didn't find her attractive or the other way around.
6:25 But there's just no way that you can be together for seven years and not have children. It doesn't make any sense.
[video] 6:30 Mom and I thought that he would be the one that I would have a family with. He had three kids of his own, which sparked my motherly instinct.
6:37 Wait, wait. You were together with somebody who already had three kids. That's already messed up because what did you think is going to happen?
6:49 Why did they break up? Okay, I don't know the story. Could be a lot of reasons. She broke up with him, he broke up with her, whatever. But he already had three children. Why would he then think about having more children with you if it didn't work out in the first place? Maybe he's already broken in some way because of the experience. That was already a bad idea.
[video] 7:09 But up until this point, I've been really focused on my career and I'm fortunate to have gotten a promotion, which gives me off weekends again. That is just giving me a little bit more of a work-life balance where I feel like I'm ready to start my family. Unfortunately, the right guy hasn't come along. I've dated on and off since that relationship ended four years ago. I've met some amazing people and some of my... That's already your problem.
7:32 You were together with way too many guys. You were together with a guy for seven years who already had children. You already chose the wrong path. As a woman, but also as a man, essentially, you need to... be together with somebody, as in find the right partner, when you're young, fertile, good-looking, attractive. That's when everybody wants you. You're now in your mid-30s, it's kind of too late, which is why you're choosing this. I get that, but my point is simply that if you're a woman and you're younger than her, and you believe that you're gonna end up like her, Now's your time. Even if you're in your 20s still, you can still easily find a guy now, he's actually gonna be loyal if he sees you as a catch. Oh, I have this young girlfriend, she wants to have babies with me, blah blah blah. That's what guys want.
8:30 Okay, I'm never gonna risk ruining this, but when you're in your mid-30s,
8:37 It's gonna be hard for you to find anyway. I get the situation that she's in. My only point is that if you're watching this as a woman and you're a lot younger than her, then now is the time because later on you're gonna be in the same situation and it's not a good idea to then have a baby on your own just because the technology is evolving, medicine and everything.
[video] 8:57 greatest friends. However, I haven't met the one and the person that wants to commit and have a family with me. So I was left kind of between a rock and a hard place. Do I throw everything into dating or...
9:08 I doubt it. What did you do when you were 18, for example? You understand that you could have easily found a guy who would marry you and have a family with you easily, as in no problem whatsoever. What did you do back then?
[video] 9:25 do I go about solo motherhood. I am the type of person who, when I want something, I just go after it. And there usually is no stopping me, which is a good thing and can also be a negative at the same time. But I felt a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders once I made this decision. And what really was eye-opening to me is I felt as if over the last four years I've been dating in a pressure cooker. I wanted that family so bad and I wanted to have kids so bad that every date I went on, I was looking at it. Does this have the potential to progress to an engagement in six months to a year, then a marriage quickly after, and then kids? Because I don't want to start having kids when I'm 40. I know some people do. I know some people that start...
10:05 You can have children when you're 40, that's still natural, but not your first child. That should have been ages ago. And I get her problem. She's too old now to actually find a guy who will commit to her, of course, because Her best years are way in the past. It was way too long ago. She talks about her career as if she achieved something, but obviously, at the end of the day, what she naturally wants is to have a family, which is why now she's left alone in her mid-30s trying to figure out a way to have children. And because she doesn't want to settle down with some average-looking guy, She would rather be a single mother and then ruin the life of her child or multiple children even. It's just crazy that women actually choose to be single mothers today. And I put choose in quotes because really, it's just brainwashing, essentially.
11:05 They really don't know what they are doing to their children. If they would understand how bad it is for children to grow up without two parents, then she wouldn't be doing this. She has been sort of manipulated into doing this.
[video] 11:17 After 40, that just personally isn't for me. I... really wanted to start having kids around this time. And I actually always said it tongue in cheek.
11:24 That doesn't make any sense. You were already supposed to have a lot of children over 10 years ago. That's how it would be naturally.
[video] 11:32 I also threw myself into podcasts. The Single Greatest Choice Podcast is one of my favorites. And I have done some of her community groups and activities and other events that she's had. And it's amazing how incredible these women are. There is such a huge community behind the Single Moms by Choice. There's a group for the DMV and every single woman that I've met there has just been so welcoming, so willing to help, so willing to talk through the challenges and everyone is just so supportive. The community is incredible and I felt this strong connection. The one thing that people don't really talk about and I didn't really think was going to happen is there is a very big grieving process.
12:07 I don't get why these women, rather than teaching women how good it is to be a single mother, tell them that, hey, teach women, especially the ones who are younger than you, that you should have done something else with your life. You shouldn't have focused on your career. The last one also talked about her career, but then regretted all of it, essentially. Even though she didn't outright say that, it was clear that in the end she just wanted to have a family. Obviously, naturally, that's how it is. That's what fulfills you. You have this career, but why don't you simply tell all of the women, hey, this was a mistake. Tell everybody in this community, outside of the community, generally start making videos. aimed at younger women that you should be having children as young as possible. Don't waste your time on a career, all of this man-made garbage. It's only going to make you depressed. You're going to feel empty.
13:05 If you live in this society, let the men work. That's how Muslims do it in a lot of countries. The woman takes care of the children and the man works. Sure, I get it. It can be problematic today, but it's still doable. And again, women have this choice. They can choose just about anybody. When you're young, fertile and even somewhat attractive. Even if you're average looking, there's gonna be a lot of guys who are above average looking who would love to be with you. That's how guys are nowadays. They are not very picky at all. Which is why as long as you're young, you can easily find a guy who's making a lot of money, you won't have to work, you can just focus on children. This is what you need to tell to women. Focus on having a family as young as possible instead of focusing on your career. Being this independent woman, strong woman, not needing a man. Now I can have children on my own, ruin the life of my children and so on.
[video] 14:04 With this decision that I don't think I was prepared for. From our early, early years of being a little girl, we are always taught that you find love, you get married, you have a family, and that's just how it works. That is your family unit with husband, wife, kid, white picket fence, golden retriever, all the things, right? So... letting go that that path might not be my path was extremely hard and there are days where it was obviously your desired path but it didn't work out for you i still have a hard time with it and i think that's normal i think throughout this process it's exciting it's terrifying all at the same time i've talked to other friends that are in happy relationships and they're like caitlyn trust me even if you're in a relationship it's terrifying when you get pregnant it's exciting and it's terrifying all at the same time so i think that these feelings are normal and
14:57 Why would it be terrifying naturally? What does she mean by that? Because of finances or something stupid, which isn't a problem naturally? I don't know what she means. Or because you watch too many Hollywood movies where the woman is screaming as if she's almost dying when she's giving birth, which is not even the reality. If you have children at a natural age, when you're actually supposed to, then women not only don't experience pain, they actually have orgasms during the birth. Hollywood completely manipulated women into believing that you should be afraid of getting pregnant.
[video] 15:34 It's just a matter of The fairy tale that we're taught is not my fairy tale, I have my own fairy tale, and I am creating the life that I want to live, which is extremely empowering, and I feel so lucky and fortunate to have...
15:45 It doesn't sound like a fairy tale whatsoever, you sound kind of miserable, and it's as if this was your last choice. And that's why you will now do it, but it doesn't sound like you ever really wanted to.
[video] 15:58 As I said, guys are not very picky today. Will you be able to find a guy who will be together with you even though you're a single mother by choice, so to speak? Probably nowadays, but
16:26 it's a lot less likely that you will ever find anybody anymore after having the child.
[video] 16:32 Embrace you and love you for who you are and respect the decisions that you made and love your child just the same.
16:38 No, that you can really forget about. Nobody is ever going to love this child the way the actual biological father would. Never. Just completely forget about it. I really hope that there's none of these single mothers by choice out there who actually believe that they will find a guy who will love the child. They may care for the child after they spend a lot of time with the child, sure, totally, but to love the child the way they would love their own children, never going to happen. Really just snap out of this. You're not living in reality.
[video] 17:12 I just keep telling myself that the fairy tale isn't over. It's just a different fairy tale. And I am creating my own fairy tale. So the grieving process was something that I didn't expect. I also went into this process and listening to the podcast was really helpful as well in the sense of helping me set up what my goals actually are for motherhood. My first goal is obviously, one, I want to be a mom. Two, I really want to preserve the ability to have kids with Mr. Wright if he comes along or potentially have a biological sibling for my first child. So I want to preserve my options. I don't want to close any doors. I am only 35 and I still have time to build my family. I am ready to be a mom now, but I don't want to close any doors in the future. At first I went in thinking I want to go IVF. I'm a control freak. I want to be able to test embryos before they are transferred to make sure chromosomally they're okay. I want to, you know, have some say in the gender as well. I think that would be awesome just because I want control. And that's just how I am in my life. However, I'm learning to let go of control.
[video] 18:12 I'm learning to let me...
18:13 I don't want to call her a control freak, but she's kind of giving me those vibes. That could be a reason why it's hard for men to be around her.
[video] 18:25 I also have a dog named Bentley so he will be probably making an appearance occasionally in my videos just because he's a mama's boy and he can't sit still so he may float in and out of the videos. That is where we are at and that is my journey so far and I am so excited to share this with you. My goal is if I can help one person with documenting my journey just like some other YouTubers have helped me then that is a win and this is also something that I can look back on throughout my journey and to share with my child one day, hopefully, just about how they came to be. So I'm really excited to share this journey with you. If you have any questions, leave them in the comment section down below and I will see you next week in my next one.
18:58 Don't get me wrong, I understand how she got to this point in her life. Again, I would say that I was very respectful in this video. It was very similar to the last one, she also focused on her career just to realize that in the end all that she wants is a family. Obviously, naturally, because that's what gives your life meaning, it's what makes you happy. But being alone with your child isn't going to make you happy. And more importantly than yourself, it's not going to make the child happy. She was in a relationship for seven years, but after six to 12 months, if you're not having children together, then you should realize that something is wrong. I don't get that. But then again, we cannot judge it because we don't know anything about the relationship. Still, it's worth mentioning. And the last woman from the last review also had these strange relationships, a lot of them.
19:57 She really pointed out that she had a lot of experiences with men. And again, that's your problem. If you don't actually choose one guy when you are young, attractive and fertile, which is a time to get pregnant, and instead sleep around or have these meaningless relationships for many years, then what do you expect exactly? Then you're gonna end up alone and choose to be a single mother in your mid-30s. How else could your life end up? It's just how it has to be. And I put choose in quotes because you have to be manipulated into going down this road and that's because you have to not understand human nature. If you understand human nature, then you cannot do this because you wouldn't
20:45 choose to be a single mother and choose for your child not to have a mother and a father it's a problem for a child whether the mother or the father is gone if it's only one parent it has to be both and that's because that's how it is naturally that's why as i said if you do not choose to have a child together with your so-called partner, then you shouldn't choose to have a child at all. Do you not understand nature? That's why naturally you can only have a child together with somebody, because the child needs both of you. How do you not understand that? If it can only naturally happen like this, then you both have to stay together for the children. That's what a family is. A family is not you artificially getting pregnant and then you being alone with your child. It's a neglect and even beyond that really it is abuse towards the child.
21:45 You're really choosing a broken family and an abusive life for your child. Thanks for watching.
