0:00 Hi guys, I'm going to review a video by Siberia inside what I eat in a day in Siberia plant-based

[video] 0:08 Being plant-based in Siberia is not as hard as it seems and winters are completely survivable here, just trust me. I work from home, that's why I cook all my meals and I use a lot of legumes, root veggies, frozen veggies, but not really fresh ones because they are super expensive in winter and I'm on a pretty tight budget.

0:30 And because they are imported,

[video] 0:33 Hey, my friends, if you're new here, hi, I'm Anna, and this channel is about everything.

0:39 What's wrong with her teeth? Hmm.

[video] 0:42 That is mindful, minimalist, and creative. Today's video, it wasn't a planned one. I just suddenly decided to make something fun as I've been feeling more melancholic and sad lately as expected. So today I'm going to show you what I eat in a day. It's 8 30 in the morning. And lately I failed to wake up earlier because I have some troubles with sleeping. And also Ulysses is having his noisy nighttime routine. Usually I don't eat breakfast if I'm not hungry and I feel like I'm not hungry at all right now. So I will just have some strong black tea with cloves.

1:27 It's really hard for me to watch this. And oat milk.

[video] 1:31 I tried to eliminate caffeine from my diet so I cut coffee, black and green teas but it didn't work I naturally have low blood pressure and I often need caffeine Nobody has naturally low blood pressure

1:50 It's your diet, you're super pale, you also look kind of thin, very fragile, the music in the background, obviously the environment that you live in, you're super depressed. This is horrible.

[video] 2:00 Yeah, so I will have just black tea and then go and reluctantly work on a copywriting project that I don't want to work on. And I will see you around lunchtime.

2:26 That's a cup of poison.

[video] 2:27 It's 10.30 and finally I got hungry and decided to have... You didn't finally get hungry.

2:36 You're hungry all of the time but you don't want to eat because your only options are food that you don't want to eat.

[video] 2:43 These leftover puff pastries that I cooked yesterday.

2:49 They look completely hard and dry, incredibly unappetizing, you eat way too late in the day, and when you do eat, you eat fiber and carbs, probably with glyphosate, other pesticides, and even if not, then you would still have all of the naturally occurring anti-nutrients in plant foods, because obviously the plants don't want you to eat them.

[video] 3:10 And with some tea.

3:13 Horrible, really terrible breakfast. One of the worst I've ever seen in my life. No joke.

[video] 3:19 So it's lunchtime and now it's 1.30. So we have some time to do the cooking. I did some prepping overnight. So I soaked lentils and I soaked fern. Fern is a very traditional... Is this a joke?

3:40 What are you doing to yourself? Move to South Russia and get some sun at last, but that won't help anyway overall. Or if you want to live in Siberia, start eating a lot of animal fat. That's what your ancestors did. This doesn't look like food. No human would say that.

[video] 3:57 Food for Siberia. Usually it is harvested in... I guess it's in Leeds.

4:03 A traditional food in Siberia is any kind of animal food. That's what people eat there. spring or early summer i don't quite remember but to preserve it to eat all year round it is usually salted and the green is just a huge amount of salt and water and nothing else yes the salt is used to preserve but of course you because you crave something um savory let's just say of course you will then enjoy it more than eating some green plant which no human would actually enjoy

[video] 4:37 So before cooking it... It's just starvation Just remove the excess salt from fern I remember when I was little we would always get fresh fern from an old friend of my father This is one of the saddest lives I've ever seen in my life My father worked at Cease to Exist That man got lost in alcohol So it's a very sad story But it is him who I always think...

5:04 It's sad, but kind of common in Russia.

[video] 5:08 For patties, I take soaked and rinsed lentils, a bit of fresh onion, a clove of garlic and soy sauce. Then I blend it thoroughly and add spices. I use a mix of peppers.

5:23 Oh, come on. Meat cravings 101, hello. Everybody can see that that's all that you want, animal foods.

[video] 5:34 such a delusion smoked paprika georgian spice mix which is called the redness also come on hit the pan a bit of crepe seed oil oh yeah oh just omega-6 super inflammation in the body let's go let's go let's go mini patties I usually add some cooked rice or buckwheat for texture, but today... I can't anymore.

6:04 I can't watch this.

[video] 6:05 I can't. Mind! Stop it!

6:12 Yeah, of course you make it brown and crusty because you want cooked meat, because that's all you know, obviously.

[video] 6:18 No need in English. So, and then it's done. And then I just cook fern again, add a little bit of oil, then cut the fern into smaller pieces. And then just saute everything.

6:32 I don't understand. How delusional are you?

[video] 6:34 What is this? I guess two cloves of garlic. I just don't understand this video.

6:41 What's going on here?

[video] 6:42 What's wrong with you? I just tasted and when I realized that the texture is nice, it's not too hard. What kind of texture is nice? It's just right then. I know that it's done and I can also add a little bit of soy sauce. The soy sauce is very beneficial to the taste. So this is my minimalist Siberian dinner that I think will be enough.

7:13 You need serious help.

[video] 7:14 So it was a simmered fern. lentil mini patties and some leftover tomato that I had from yesterday. And if you have never tried fern, it actually tastes like a mix...

7:28 I would literally rather die than living a life like this. Literally, I'm not joking at all.

[video] 7:33 ...of okara and mushrooms, but more like mushrooms. Yeah, so bon appétit.

7:42 Bon no appétit, mate.

[video] 7:47 tomatoes in winter nice big man-made full of pesticides probably after dinner i love having some tea and also something sweet is it's a very russian thing and um right now at home as i ate all the pastries i have nothing but this this thing and it's actually Candied pinecone. Like baby pinecones. You're joking.

8:16 You're not joking.

[video] 8:19 They are real pinecones. Just candied with a little bit of sugar and water. And they taste like pinecones.

8:28 Look at those anemic hands. She's about to collapse.

[video] 8:32 They're super, super fun to eat. It's impossible to eat too many of these because the taste is very, very rich.

8:45 Yeah, they're pretty rich because you're not supposed to eat them. It's pine cones, bro. What's going on?

[video] 8:56 Quite satisfying. It tastes like Siberia. When my cousin and I were little, we would forage pine cone, not pine cone, pine tree resin and chewed on it. So it was like bubble gum, chewing gum. Of course, no bubbles could be formed out of it. It was kind of a taste of childhood as well.

9:16 I said, okay, if you just eat pine cones, whatever, let's move on.

[video] 9:19 This is what I will have.

9:22 They must be incredibly toxic and the fiber is basically indigestible. The digestive issues it gives you, I don't even want to think about it.

[video] 9:30 For my last snack today, I ate some leftover bread from yesterday.

9:39 That's a really thick slice of bread. Man...

9:45 These Soviet whatever meals, or post-Soviet, still the same essentially, they are already depressing as it is, as in they are very malnourishing, and now that you make a plant-based vegan version out of it, it's just the end.

[video] 10:04 It's leftover hummus and leftover...

10:08 Yeah, they eat a lot of bread there, and it's horrible, and of course also some cucumbers, which are just fiber in the water, essentially. But instead of the hummus, they would have some cheese, pasteurized butter, whatever. It's really bad, as it is, but this is just a death wish.

[video] 10:29 cucumbers, it's just a leftover sandwich, and one red apple. We survived through the 90s, which were called hungry 90s, especially here in Siberia, pretty far away from the central part of Russia, so we survived mostly thanks to my grandparents, who lived in the countryside and had their own garden and animals so we all helped them grow all sorts of veggies and took care of chickens and we had two pigs each year and a cow and when i was little i never questioned the situation it felt completely natural to me just to have animals to kill animals and to eat animals because it is natural And even now, looking back, I don't have any judgment at all. Back then we didn't have any choice and thanks to those animals we managed to stay healthy, we managed to grow and we managed to live.

11:26 Yeah, and now you think you have a choice because you have hummus or what? Where did this new choice come from? Are you post-nature or what?

[video] 11:38 But of course I have a choice right now. And that's why I've chosen just to go plan-based. But it's my decision. I believe that...

11:47 everyone decides for themselves and i'm never judgmental in in this way at least something i've been to many places in my life so i will see you in the next video you have a lovely day and this is one of the worst what i eat in a day videos i've ever seen because she already has to deal with the harsh climate of siberia and then all that she eats all day is sludged up grain which is essentially just fiber and anti-nutrients tomatoes and cucumbers, which are just fiber and water. They don't even have a lot of sugar as macronutrients. If she would eat some other imported fruit with a lot of sugar, then she would at least be getting some kind of energy out of it, but this was essentially just nothing. It's just incredibly depressing and sad. It doesn't really get much worse than this and the music in the background throughout the whole video just try to imagine her mental state.

12:46 And this is of course all because plants don't have over 15 nutrients. 15! That's quite a lot. And that in Siberia. Yeah, okay. Thanks for watching.
