0:00 Alright guys, as requested, I'm gonna review the latest video by Sofia Esperanza. It's called Why I'm No Longer Vegan. It's interesting for me to see this because I reviewed her vegan What I Eat In A Day video three years ago. She was supposedly vegan for eight years. We'll see what she has to say.

[video] 0:16 If we had to eat our every meal while watching how it was created, from start to finish, all the ingredients, How would we feel? Would we be able to watch a factory farm chicken hanging from her feet in shackles as she takes her last breath as we bite into her wings? Would we be able to watch a pig from an organic farm squealing for compassion as we sizzle their bodies on a skillet? Would we be able to eat our cheese pizza as we witness a dairy cow no longer able to use her legs from pain, suffering, and disease being hoisted up by her hips from a crane-like machine just to be tossed into a pile of feces because she is no longer?

0:50 If the animal wasn't feces, then of course you wouldn't want to eat the meat. seeing as we are naturally repulsed by feces, and that's because it would poison our bodies if you would consume that, obviously. Whereas if you would see a pig being normally slaughtered in front of you, you would have no problem eating the meat. And that's because in nature, animals would die in front of us every day. It would be normal for us to see blood.

[video] 1:15 Usable. Would we be able to froth our morning lattes with milk that came from a humane certified farm? where a mother cow is losing her voice, screaming for her baby that is being carted away to be given supplemental feed just hours after birth so we can take theirs, her milk. In the same breath, would we be able to enjoy our chopped salads as we watch workers spray our fruits and vegetables with chemicals so harsh they have to wear hazmat suits just to finish the job? Would we be able to enjoy our veggie bowls as we watch the produce that came from a monocrop system destroy the foundation of everything that we see? Soil microbiome organisms diminishing.

1:53 Very good points. If you would actually see the poisonous chemicals being sprayed on your lovely vegetables, then you would not want to really eat them. You would not see them as so healthy, but of course, even if you don't spray them, there's also natural toxins in these man-made vegetables.

[video] 2:11 before our eyes or would we be able to finish our plant-based burger our mock meats as we watch them being churned in these huge metal mechanisms like a giant slurry having dead looking ingredients being dumped in churning some more to be portioned up heading up a plastic conveyor belt like a roller coaster ride we have got to have a conversation about what we deem as food we've got to have a conversation about what we deem as humane necessary and how we all play a role in this

2:38 She's making a very good point about how we are disconnected from where our food comes from. The vegans don't understand where their plants come from, how beyond meat and all the garbage is made. And of course, most people also don't know where their meat comes from.

[video] 2:52 Acknowledging that we are both part of the problem and the solution. transformation has to have some starting point. And even if we feel like our efforts are insignificant, knowing why we want to make that change in the first place is so significant. So just starting that journey at all is beautiful because it begins a journey to living more in alignment. And that's beneficial for everyone here. The systems that are currently in place are not even an ounce of what we're capable of as humans.

3:23 And if we all came- This video is one hour long, by the way. I'm only going to watch a small part of it. It would have been good if she would have mentioned that millions of animals die during the process of plant farming. Maybe she did in the other parts of the video.

[video] 3:36 What do I, Sophia, consider as food? And where do my ethics, morals, and values intersect at that point? The reality is, is I consider everything to be food. All the way from the apple off of the tree to the animals that are in my house right now that I won't eat. I think it's pretty clear that I don't feel an alignment.

4:00 Yes, all of it is food. Even your pets are technically potential food. And people would resort to eating their pets if there was actual famine.

[video] 4:10 They eat meat or fish. However, what has been an exploration point for me for years, even as a strict vegan, were vegetarian elements, specifically milk, butter, cheese, eggs, honey.

4:23 That's interesting. She said that she was exploring these ideas even in her vegan years. Which means that she was probably, just like most vegans, eating some kind of dairy during her vegan time. Realistically, who could stand being vegan for eight years straight? It's basically impossible. You would have to cheat now and then, like basically all of them do.

[video] 4:48 things that don't require an animal to be killed in order to consume. I'm not even going to hold back here. I see these elements as beautiful. And I believe our relationship to these creations, to the animals that create them, is so fractured that we don't even have confidence within ourselves or others to build out loving systems that benefit all. I found that where my soul feels most content to dance within is a spectrum of, I guess, what you could call ethical vegetarianism all the way to raw foodist. And I say dance because I'm not going to pin myself down anymore. This... It's her hippie way of saying that her body was malnourished and screaming for animal fat, which is

5:41 hard craving that women have and that's of course because if you don't eat animal fat as a human in general but especially as a woman then you're hormonally so messed up that you lose your period you become infertile it really causes a lot of problems that's why women crave animal fat in general so much but nowadays they resort to eating dairy because it's seen as more normal whereas in nature you would be eating the actual fat of the animal there is no dairy in nature obviously and

[video] 6:10 And I want to make it clear that I see them as beautiful when in integrity. Animal activist believes in an ethical egg, a humane honey, a moral milk, a considerate cheese. There are your headlines. I have dreamed since I was a child of having a space and land to give sanctuary to animals. Bask in them living out their entire natural lives, forging sacred bonds with every single one of them, or at least the ones who want to. Becoming wise hands that heal where I tend to. And creating systems that benefit everyone. Stewarding my heart out to the fullest. Imagine an egg that comes from a beloved hen who lives out her entire natural life on an ethereal garden, whose living situation replicates that of a sanctuary.

6:53 An animal sanctuary wouldn't really give these prey animals a natural life or death, and that's because predators would hunt them in nature anyway. Yeah, sure, some would survive, but very many wouldn't because that's food for us predators. There's also no arguments that a vegan can make against eating eggs or even drinking milk. Who would it harm? Nobody at all, as long as it doesn't come from factory farms.

[video] 7:20 Able to forage around an organic farm, kept safe from predators by a dog who tends to the flock, cared for in moments of pristine health or challenges, like we would our human family. Fertilizing the ground she walks upon, drawing life up from the roots to the stems we then eat, she is glorious. This is my standard for an egg. This is my standard for her life. And because I haven't ever seen the system in full, I was so happy to forego engaging with the egg industry for years, It gave me much time to meditate on the symbiosis, what it could look like, and how it's part of the repairing process between species. The very grand challenges we're facing as a world, soil degradation, microbiome loss, animals are a key component to restoring this health, this balance, and how beautiful it is to be the hands to tend to that harmonious system.

7:58 Yes, it's impossible to have healthy soil without animals. The way it works naturally is that animals eat food, then they excrete it, and that's how they create new healthy soil and food. It's just a natural cycle. Without all of these cows, for example, all soil on earth would die, especially because of monocrops.

[video] 8:22 Raw milk, butter, cheese that comes from cherished cows and goats, utilizing a small portion of their creations from naturally occurring pregnancies in motherhood, not forcing reproduction for personal gain.

8:36 This video was basically her spiritual so-called way of trying to explain to people that she quit veganism because she felt malnourished. There's a lot of interesting kind of mean comments on her video. One of them is this, you have all the right to quit veganism, you're a free individual, we're making a long video, justify me if I was trying to argument your decision when you know how terrible the industry is, I feel is unnecessary. Yeah, but she didn't say that the industry is good, she actually said that the industry is terrible, even in the small part that I watched and probably more in the rest of the video. She doesn't support the industry whatsoever and talked about having a more compassionate farm. A lot of these people of course didn't actually watch her video, that's the problem here. I consider myself a flexible vegan, not a vegan in other words, in the sense that if someone offers me a piece of cake with eggs, sometimes I accept out of respect, but I will never buy eggs. How can you respect it?

9:36 and accept it if you don't actually respect the egg industry you talk against the industry but then you accept a cake with eggs it doesn't make any sense at all really contradictory not even from an ethical farm however i try to be very careful with how i talk about veganism and the example that i give because i want to damage the work of so many wonderful activists that have done so much for the movement. That's why I don't understand these videos. I haven't watched a single one that I'm able to sympathize with. You clearly didn't even watch this one. Do as you please, but own your decision. Don't try to justify yourself and give people more reasons not to be vegan when the world is falling apart and animals are the ones suffering the consequences. The thing is that humans are also animals and we also suffer of course if we don't eat the natural food which we are supposed to. A cow would suffer if the cow would only get to eat grains and meat and a lion would suffer if

10:36 He would only eat broccoli and grass. You can't feed an animal an unnatural diet, obviously, right? That's also animal abuse. These vegans need to realize that human suffering is also important, obviously. We also don't want to suffer just like every animal. People already find enough reasons not to be vegan. So for those ex-vegans, do as you please, but stay quiet out of respect for the movement you once belonged to. Just my opinion. Yes, but you don't realize this because you eat cakes with eggs in it and who knows what else. You're a so-called freegan, like unnatural vegan. She also eats chicken when there's leftover chicken. Those kind of vegans which are fake vegans, don't realize that people who go through actual veganism and don't eat any animal products at all, that they suffer incredibly badly because they get malnourished.

11:33 That's because plants don't have over 15 nutrients. It has to cause... malnutrition, you will suffer as an animal. And that's really something that vegans have to at last realize after all of these years. That's also important. It's not only your cows and chickens that you should care about. Care about humans who suffer eating an unnatural diet. Jesus. Thanks for watching.
