0:00 Hi, I'm going to be reviewing a video called Top 10 Lies I Told as a Pastor.

[video] 0:05 Christians, we need to have a conversation. Your pastor has been lying to you for years, and he probably doesn't even realize it. I used to stand on a platform...

0:17 That's possible. Some of them actually really don't get it because the same way the Christians follow the pastor, the pastor himself simply blindly follows the beliefs. It doesn't mean that he's lying to you or the people around you.

[video] 0:34 Formal. week after week, every Sunday and Wednesday night, preaching and proclaiming what I believe to be the truth. I wasn't lying intentionally. I was convinced that what I was saying was right, that I was leading people closer to God and his goodness and his will.

0:49 Yeah, that's exactly what I meant.

[video] 0:51 His plan. But here's the thing. When you're in that world... You don't often allow yourself to question these things. You just repeat what you've been taught, you accept the answers you've been given, and you told the line. It wasn't until I stepped away from the church that I realized just how much of what I preached was wrong, false, fallacious even. And I'm not talking about minor errors. I'm talking about massive foundational lies that I spread, not because I was being willingly deceptive, but because I honestly believed that faith was the closest to truth that we could ever hope for. That was my sincere belief.

1:32 That's actually really crazy, because faith is at the end of the day really just a blind belief in something, which would be more or less the opposite of the truth, because the truth is nature, this physical reality, because it's real, we can sense it. The faith in God is nothing, it's purely a belief.

[video] 1:56 These are the lies that keep Christianity going. The ones that keep people trapped in fear, guilt, and blind obedience called faith.

2:04 Fear, guilt, blind obedience. That sums it up. It is for the most part based on fear, which is why I'm glad that he mentioned it first. Because whenever you talk to anybody who's religious in the first place, what you will hear will be fear-based. They will come up with all of these reasons as to why they are religious. And it will usually at the end of the day come down to them being afraid of the consequences of not being religious.

[video] 2:36 So today we're going to count down the top 10 lies I told as a pastor without even realizing it. Let's get started. Number 10.

[video] 2:46 oh we love this one don't we i love this one anytime tragedy strikes or any times yeah you can just use it anytime it's funny to hear it from an ex-pastor someone feels lost here comes the go-to line god has a plan it sounds comforting but it's a hollow platitude and many times does nothing to provide any real comfort if everything is part of god's plan then that means suffering abuse and injustice are intentional that they are by design if

3:15 Yes, but then they will just say God works in mysterious ways. And because you suffered because of this one thing, you ended up meeting your soulmate or something. They will always come up with some reason. It's kind of like fortune tellers. They will tell you that everything happens for a reason. Yeah, it's exactly the same as religious people. Because...

3:44 can always believe in something if you want to if you want to believe that it's a good thing or that that's the way it's supposed to be you just will as long as you have faith that's the case why pray why do anything why actually try to fix the problems if they're part of some divine blueprint

[video] 4:02 This lie shuts down critical thinking and convinces people to accept suffering instead of working to change it. This was one of the many reasons that I deconverted, realizing that the work that I was doing was not actually helping to change anything. Because, of course, I believed that God had a plan. The Bible is the word of God, unadulterated, inerrant, the word of God in full. I used to say this with absolute conviction, but honestly, I struggled in examining what that even meant. The Bible is a collection of books written by flawed humans over centuries, copied, edited, and mistranslated by people with their own agendas. But we call it God's word as if we're a magical flaw.

4:42 I'm very glad that he said this because those books really have been edited many times. What you should think about is especially people who believe that there's some dark agenda going on. Why would they allow the word of God?

5:03 Why would you be able to buy the book or even actually get it for free? Because in most places you can just get it and read it for free. Because you would think that the opposite would be true. It would be the most hidden book on earth. It actually is like that, the real Bible. kind of the one that came after jesus died those uh texts are not popular whatsoever although you can find a lot of them i made a whole video about this on telegram seven real teachings of jesus christ where i talk about what jesus actually really taught people and it's basically the opposite of what religions thought he was incredibly anti-religious he was completely pro nature Like me. Coincidentally? You decide.

[video] 6:09 This was a real struggle for me. Not just the fact that God got so many things wrong.

6:14 The thing that makes no sense whatsoever about the Bible or any texts is why would God communicate with you in a man-made language or through man-made symbols?

6:28 You would think that if God would want to communicate with all of the beings on this earth, how would God do that? By programming the beings naturally to know what's good and bad for them. What the purpose and meaning of life is and what they are supposed to do. Because think about it. does it make sense that god creates all of these creatures and then afterwards when they are 10 years old okay this happens sooner but that's when you would really start reading yourself you need to find a man-made book in a man-made language a language which doesn't even exist in nature

7:06 which was created later which already debunks everything for you to then learn the purpose of life and what you're supposed to do to follow jesus christ and about god and blah blah blah how does it make sense that it was created later on depending on which testament you believe in could even be less than two thousand years ago and uh that that's the truth but the truth is not naturally inside of you no of course we already know what's good for us what's bad for us because if there would be such a thing as God uh called whatever you want then we would naturally be programmed right away when we were created to know what we are supposed to do so it would be innate natural it cannot be man-made coming from a book

[video] 7:57 the Bible is God's word. Doesn't that mean that Paul's words are now God's words and that Peter's words are now God's words? Where does this slippery slope end? Number eight, Jesus loves you no matter what. Oh, really? Because according to the Bible, Jesus' love is conditional to the point of being cruel. Believe in him or face eternal punishment. That's not love. That's coercion. But in church, we marketed Christianity as a religion of unconditional love. When in reality, it's a system of emotional manipulation. Jesus loves you sounds nice, but if love comes with the threat of hell, it's not love. It's a hostage situation. Well said. Christianity is not a religion. It's a relationship. This one, this was one of the most ridiculous word games we played. And I can about damn near remember when we started playing this particular game. We said this to distance ourselves from the baggage of organized religion. But let's be honest, Christianity is a religion, organized or otherwise.

[video] 8:56 It has rules, dogma, rituals, and consequences for non-compliance. This relationship argument was just a way to sidestep accountability and pretend we were different from all the other religions we look down on. And honestly, the problem with religion isn't that it's organized. It's that it's false. Number six. I think we're all familiar with this one. Prayer works.

9:23 prayer is really maybe the stupidest thing in religions because it's literally you oftentimes kneeling down showing that you're a slave and that's really funny when you realize the purpose of religions and it always has been control and then um actually before i say anything you should watch this movie what was it called Hereditary? Wait, no, that was the other one. Heretic. I will put the link in the description. There's this horror movie which... Actually, I'm not going to spoil you. I don't recommend watching movies in general, but if you watch them anyway and you're curious about religions and the control, I would really recommend watching that one. As far as the message goes, very, very good.

[video] 10:16 ...worked, hospitals would be emptied. casinos would be closed down. We'd see double-blind studies proving its effectiveness. But instead, prayer only seems to work when the outcome is vague.

10:27 Yeah, this is exactly what I was gonna say.

10:32 you make man-made sounds just like the man-made symbols in the book they mean nothing and then you expect for god who could only possibly communicate with you naturally if anything but you expect to communicate with god in a man-made language and then you expect to see some kind of a result. But think about it again. God would have programmed you to already know how to communicate with God or how to express yourself or how to get what you want in your life. which in nature is reproduction, hunting, eating raw meat, drinking blood, living a true natural life, which fulfills you, makes you happy and healthy. And you know how to do that. And no matter how much you get programmed, at the end of the day, anybody still knows how to do that.

11:29 Because if you're set out into the wild, you may fail if you're very deeply programmed, but the natural intuition instincts will still kick in. That's how it is for everybody who has a plane crash in nature and they try to survive or you're stranded on an island. At the end of the day, it all goes back to the same thing, which is what's innate for your body. Point being, that's how we know what we are supposed to do, the meaning of life and everything.

[video] 12:00 Coincidental or could have happened anyway. The truth is when people get what they want, they thank God. When they don't, they make excuses.

12:08 Yeah, exactly. As I said before, if you go to some old lady who sets out some cards and reads the cards for you to talk about your future. Same thing. I've seen this a million times with people and they fall for it. They pay thousands of dollars for something fake, for an illusion. Because people live in an illusion and they don't want to face reality. It's again fear. And then when they say in two years you're going to meet your dream husband and you don't, but you met some guy who you really liked at the supermarket, who you found attractive, then you think, oh, that's what she meant. Well, I'm not together with him, but technically I did meet my dream husband. It's just that I saw him and he didn't want to be together with me. Here's another $5,000. Please tell me what happens in the next two years.

[video] 13:02 Prayer is just a way to make people feel like they're doing something when they're actually doing nothing.

13:09 Oh, fuck. Yeah, I love this guy, man. Perfectly summed up. I love it. Exactly. And it is nothing.

[video] 13:18 Number five, God answers in his own time. Oh, how convenient. This is our convenient escape hatch when prayer didn't work. If someone prayed for healing and didn't get it.

13:30 And it's just so clear that it's a form of enslavement. When you wake up and you realize it's so clear because it's the perfect excuses. you're always excusing something that doesn't work because it's nothing like he said it's even better to hear it from an ex-pastor somebody who left their religion because they get it even more because they lived it god's timing if they died well we don't understand his ways no matter what happened no matter what happened the answer was always the same

[video] 14:06 God's mysterious timing.

14:09 And the worst thing is that if your child is born malnourished or your child has very severe gut issues and you're feeding the child bread, vegetable puree and the child is screaming and you go to the doctor and and you actually start believing that it's just god's mysterious way and even if it goes away because you change your diet you will say oh it was god who showed me the new diet you will always try to excuse it because you just have this strong blind faith when in reality you were feeding your child unnatural food and once you start following nature

14:57 all of your problems go away this is just one example i could give you a hundred ever ending cycle of mental gymnastics designed to protect the idea that god is listening even when all the evidence suggests that he isn't number yes and in reality if you purely listen to your intuition and you do exactly what you want to do you will feel like you're in heaven You will be super healthy, happy. And then at the very latest, you will realize that you were lied to your whole life.

[video] 15:26 If you did grow up religiously before, you can't be good without God.

15:32 That's funny because the word good actually comes from God. It's just an O removed. And the word devil comes from evil. Just remove the D. Evil and good, it's religious terms. There's no such thing in nature.

[video] 15:47 This one is insulting, patronizing, and absurd. I used to preach that without God, people would have no moral compass, that we'd all be lying, stealing, and murdering. But look around. Atheists aren't running wild in the streets.

16:01 he's wrong about this one um our society is based on religions even though most people may call themselves atheists today at least in the West in Europe for sure they actually are religious because they follow morals morals were as I just said purely created by religions you don't have anything like that in nature there's certain rules that you may set up which are man-made anyway in a tribe in your

16:30 so-called society in nature but it's very different and there is no rules about not i don't want to talk about this on youtube but just what he mentioned now there's none of that because actually that's what you do all the time it's what life in nature is based on it's in fact some of the most peaceful ethical countries in the world today have low levels of religious belief meanwhile some of the most religious places are full of corruption oppression

17:00 I wouldn't agree with that, but I've traveled to a lot of countries and I know this not to be true. Oftentimes it's the opposite.

[video] 17:11 It's about empathy, reason, and human decency. Number three, doubt is a test of your faith. Whenever someone would start questioning, I would simply tell them most times that it's just a test. This is a test from the Lord and that pushing through that doubt would make their faith stronger, but Doubt isn't a test. It's a sign that something isn't adding up for you. Instead of encouraging people to explore their questions, we made them feel guilty for even having them. That's not faith. That's indoctrination. Number two, hell is a choice. No, it's not. A choice means informed consent. If someone puts a gun to your head and says, give me your wallet or die, that's not a choice. That's a threat. Christianity does the same thing. Worship God or burn forever. No sane, loving parent

17:57 exactly and I had somebody recently in the comments who said something like that he said why wouldn't I pray all day and do this and that which is what the religion tells me why would I risk burning in hell eternally by the way where do you think this comes from What you're not understanding is that the concepts of heaven and hell are a fantasy anyway. But what I mean is that it's based on your deepest human desires and fear. Actually, I will talk about this more at the very end after we finish this video because this is very important to understand. Just remember what I just said.

[video] 18:40 Actually, this is a good video. This is even a video that I would maybe share.

19:04 except for one point maybe it's spot on it really helps now on with number one on our list you have to have faith i wish it would have been a god exists because no matter how you want to twist it or what language you want to use there is no god i'm not saying that you shouldn't believe in God or whatever. That's not my point. I'm just saying that purely physically in this reality, there is no God because God does not exist as in we cannot sense God. You can believe in God,

19:43 i don't care about that i don't care what you do or believe in anyway that's not my point i'm just saying you can believe in god or not believe in god but as far as the existence goes what exists is what we sense seeing as we cannot see smell touch blah blah god god does not exist that would have been a good point but whatever this is the ultimate cop-out faith is just a nice word for believing something without evidence when all else fails when logic doesn't hold up when questions get Yeah, then people just say, you just need to have faith. Exactly. It's also a good point.

[video] 20:15 Too difficult. The fallback answer is, you just have to have faith. That's not an argument. It's an admission that there's no good reason to believe. Faith is the last line of defense when religion runs out of excuses. As you can see, the deception from the pulpit comes hard and fast. But in a great many cases, you can only blame the pastor so much because they too have been deceived and indoctrinated. I genuinely believe the things because they were drilled into me from a young age. That's how religion works. It doesn't just control what you believe. It controls how you think about what you believe. If you're someone who's still in that world.

20:50 It has to happen when you're young because you're very impressionable. You absorb everything because it's the age when you're supposed to learn, especially when you're three, four, five years old. And if you then grow up religiously in that time, it's very deeply inside of you, but not as deep as nature. That trumps everything. And in the end, nature always wins over these man-made beliefs.

[video] 21:20 questioning but afraid to admit it just know that you're not alone there are millions of us who've stepped away who've asked the hard questions who stood up to the oppression and who found freedom outside of faith and if you're watching that you're already on that path join us

21:36 this was a very good video overall what i wanted to talk about before is the way we see heaven and hell your imagination of heaven is this place in the clouds wherever where all of your deepest desires are fulfilled whatever you want to do in your life in heaven you will get it and what's interesting about this is most people don't think about this it's that all of these desires are your human desires in this physical natural reality meaning that heaven is actually just you imagining that you live in nature because in nature you can do all of that It's as if at last you will be free, meaning that you subconsciously know that you live in slavery, captivity, that you're not allowed to do what you naturally want to do. That's all that heaven is. And what is hell then?

22:35 Hell is this place where... what you as a human naturally physically don't want to experience that's hell that's where you will experience it meaning that hell is the opposite of this place where all of your desires are fulfilled it's where you constantly experience something that you don't want and in this case it will cause a lot of fear inside of you because you will not only burn and die you will burn forever What is the number one thing that humans don't want to experience? It's stress. It's pain. Which a lot of people nowadays actually consciously do to themselves. When they run marathons, they do cold showers, saunas. It's a sort of hell, but...

23:26 in this hell from religions you actually burn and you don't die you just burn on and on forever so it's the worst place that you could possibly imagine being in and all that you need to do not to land there is a follow the religion this man-made concept of enslaving and controlling you your whole life you understand what's going on once you understand that that heaven and hell are both based on your natural desires and fears then you will realize that the people who created these places in your head are also just human beings who know what you want and what you're afraid of and that's why they know that you will do everything to avoid this place

24:20 which you're most afraid of, and to go to this place which you really want to go to, where all of your desires will be fulfilled. Come on, wake up at last. Thanks for watching.
