The New US Food Pyramid Reviewed

0:00 Hi, today I'm going to talk about the new US food pyramid.
[video] 0:04 For decades, Americans have grown sicker while health care costs have soared. The reason is clear. The hard truth is that our government has been lying to us to protect corporate profit-taking, telling us that these food-like substances were beneficial.
0:18 Food-like substances. I love how he said that.
[video] 0:35 new guidelines recognize that whole they turn the blind eye to what was going on or maybe there's another reason that they created these guidelines nutrient-dense food is the most effective path to better health and lower health care costs protein and healthy fats are essential and we're wrongly discouraged in prior dietary guidelines we are ending the war on saturated fats diet
1:04 That sounds really good. We will see how much truth there is to it.
[video] 1:10 It's rich in vegetables and fruits, reduce disease, risk more effectively than many drugs. All grains outperform refined carbohydrates.
1:23 Are whole grains actually better? Imagine eating whole seeds. Grains are seeds. Would it be easier to eat them processed or as whole seeds? Can you actually chew them, especially in their raw state?
[video] 1:41 especially sugar sweetened beverages drive metabolic disease and today our government declares war on added sugar highly processed foods loaded with that that's good because added sugar actually has an ld50 value because of the way it's created it's toxic added sugar and excess salt damage health and should be avoided a secretary of health and human services
2:10 I like that he also mentioned salt. They mix good and bad stuff together. And of course, if you have no clue about what you're supposed to eat, then you will still be confused after hearing all of this. But it sounds a lot better.
[video] 2:28 Mr. Secretary, the American Heart Association had a lot of good things to say about these new recommendations. They like to focus on full grains, on fruits and vegetables, but...
2:37 There is no focus on whole grains. They do talk about them.
[video] 2:42 But when it comes to saturated fats, they say that saturated fats are a primary driver of cardiovascular disease. You said you're ending the war on saturated fats. Where is the evidence that that is a good idea? Well, the problem is that there is no good evidence that saturated fats drive cardiac disease. That is a dogma that was based on a 1960 study that has been completely debunked.
3:06 It feels like a dream to hear this from somebody who is sort of in charge.
3:17 I did make a video about RFK a while ago when he was talking about possibly implementing new guidelines. It's not ideal by any means, but I do like to hear this.
[video] 3:32 Actually, every major health association says that they still believe that there's validity there. Well, again, it's based upon a dogma, but not science.
3:42 Of course, you also need to think about who is behind these so-called health organizations.
[video] 3:51 Science comes from scientific studies.
3:57 Science actually comes from your senses in the first place. Empirical evidence is what you can sense. Nothing else can be called scientific. Nothing can be seen as empirical evidence simply because Everything else is a belief. And peer-reviewed studies are good as far as studies go, and I'm not saying that you shouldn't take them seriously at all, but that's not science. Of course, I understand why he calls it science, seeing as most people have no idea what science means, but it should be pointed out. And if you want to know if saturated fat, for example, is good for you, you would need to do a scientific experiment yourself. You would need to taste it and then see how you feel, how it tastes. If it tastes good, then there you go.
[video] 4:57 ...or orthodoxies. And the study in 1960 and in the late 50s that indicated that there was a slight risk for saturated fats and cardiac disease was not based on good science. We've had years, we have decades of good science now that says protein is important. It is absolutely critical. And today about 50%...
5:21 He says protein. They don't want to say meat, animals, and by the way, just to clarify what I meant before, of course this only applies to natural foods, seeing as your body is only programmed, so to speak, to sense natural foods. If you would now ask me if, for example, processed sugar is healthy because your sense is like it, then that would be a fallacious question simply because it's not natural. Humans can create products that trick your senses, but animals are natural. And if you hunt down an animal, and you drink the blood, you eat the fat, the brain, and it tastes good, then that's all that you need to know. And you can also do actual scientific studies, of course.
6:17 You could test 100 people and see if they... improve their health in whatever ways when they eat in a specific way.
[video] 6:29 ... of the calories that are consumed by children in this country are ultra-processed foods. That's not good. The ad comes from 40 years of bad advice by the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association and other associations that put fruit loops at the top of the food pyramid. We all know that sugar is not good for you, salt is not good for you, ultra-processed food, refined carbohydrates are not good for you, protein is good for real food.
6:55 Again, he says protein, I wish that he would just say meat, fatty meat, liver, that would be great.
[video] 7:02 Dairy, fruit and vegetables, and then grain.
7:05 No need for vegetables. Also good that he mentions dairy, I suppose. But now he also said grain, I think.
[video] 7:15 Whole grains. That's what Americans should be eating, and that is what the science says, and our study is a science-based report, and all the citations are in it.
7:24 I want to show you something else, unrelated to the topic. Look at the robot in the background.
[video] 7:29 It's not even completely unrelated to the topic because
7:53 When you eat grains, you kind of become a zombie robot. If you eat raw meat, you're wild. You could never do this kind of a job. Let's see what some people on TikTok and YouTube have to say about it.
[video] 8:07 Breaking news, the new American dietary guidelines have just been released, and to be honest, it's an absolute crap show. So let's take a look at what they recommend. Time for school. So here is the new pyramid on the official dietary guidelines websites. So as you can see at the top here, they're telling you to prioritize chicken, beef, full fat dairy, whole milk, eggs, fatty fish.
8:24 It's great because even though RFK and the others only say protein, when you look at it, you do see the animals. Okay, it's... farmed animals it's only the muscle meat but that's still a big step into the right direction along with fruits and veggies on the right hand side lower down you have nuts and seeds and then you've got whole grains at the bottom for protein they're recommending 1.2 really it shouldn't be there it's not even food
[video] 8:52 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, which I think is fine, they're still recommending plenty of fruits and veg, no added sugars, and whole grains too, at two to four servings per day. Now, most of this is actually similar to the previous dietary guidelines, with the major change being an emphasis on animal foods and animal fats in the diet. Now, this is where it gets super interesting. I just want to point something out. Many of you in nutritional academia will be familiar with some of the names here that are the scientific reviewers of the guidelines. Now, I want all of you to take a look at the conflicts of interest section here. Many of these reviewers have been paid by Big Beef and Big Dairy.
9:22 Here we have the global dairy... That may be true, but it's the same case for the other studies. Look at who created the old food pyramid. I grew up in Europe, but as a child, I remember that they showed us this pyramid in school also. I never took it seriously. All that I wanted to eat was meat, milk and cheese. Whatever kind of animal foods we had. You would eat bread and all the grain sludge only when there's nothing else.
[video] 9:56 Platform, National Cattlemen's Beef Association, American Dairy Science Association. Look at this again. National Cattlemen's Beef Association, the National Dairy Council, General Mills, National Cattlemen's Beef Association, National Pork Board. Oh, and Nova Nordisk, otherwise known as Big Pharma. So it's kind of interesting to see that all of the recommendations...
10:14 It's always the same case anyway. Who do you think funds any studies out there? Does it mean that the studies are wrong? No. Do the studies even matter? No. You should be eating what you're naturally supposed to eat, and this is closer to it in comparison to the old food pyramid. As I said, it's not ideal. by any means in nature we hunt down animals and we eat them raw you're never going to see blood raw organs on any food pyramid they are trying to bring back real food and of course when they are defining real food they had to throw in the term industrial oils because they hate seed oils and also they want to Rightfully so. Why would you defend them? Some people say that he's being paid by seed oil companies. And when you look at how much he defends them, it's very believable.
[video] 11:11 Get rid of preservatives, because why would we want food to last longer on shelves, right? And yes, they say that healthy fats are a part of real foods.
11:18 Yes, why would you? You should be eating fresh foods.
[video] 11:22 Just meat and dairy, which are high saturated fat foods. And when they keep the previous recommendation to limit your saturated fat to less than 10% of your total daily calories, they recommend high fat foods like red meat, whole milk, chicken and cheese. If you are actually following their guidelines, it makes it almost impossible to keep your calories from saturated fat under 10%. That's true. So what do I personally think about this whole thing? I think it's the current administration's way of putting their foot in the door and saying they want to get rid of seed oils, bring back red meat, but without actually having the balls to say that that's what they're trying to do.
11:52 Interesting take, because they do say protein instead of meat and animals, as I said. They say industrial oils, which is what seed oils are, instead of simply seed oils, so-called vegetable oils.
12:12 Maybe, but if that's the case, that's great.
[video] 12:17 And what do I think is going to happen after this? Well, just changing the guidelines doesn't mean anyone is going to follow them. But when you change them to include more high saturated fat foods, which we already... That's true.
12:26 Realistically, Americans will keep eating at fast food places. But it will influence some people.
[video] 12:35 have a problem with, it's going to look like we're doing better. But overall, I predict this is going to do nothing to improve American health except make people more afraid of inert things like seed oils, artificial colors, and preservatives. But hey, what do you think? This is going to kill a lot of people. In case you missed it, RFK just dropped the new food pyramid and food guidelines. Please do not follow this. Please. While I agree with Maha and this whole movement that's happening right now, that you do need to eat more whole foods and limit processed foods and sugar intake, I don't agree.
13:08 I like how she put up the text, highly processed foods. Not processed foods, those are okay.
[video] 13:16 That you should be consuming any kind of meat, dairy, eggs... None of it. Red meat is a group two carcinogen, meaning it causes cancer.
13:28 She's referring to correlation studies. And usually they put red meat, normal meat from animals in the same group as processed meat with preservatives, salt. And of course, you could then call that a carcinogenic food. But whatever the case, it's all based on an association. You cannot actually prove the causation behind it, the disease, why people are sick. It's essentially just an assumption, a belief. But if you're a vegan, then you will believe that. And she looks like she is.
[video] 14:17 This man put it at the top of the pyramid telling people they should consume red meat to be healthy. The government should be looking out for its people. Instead, it's telling its people to eat stuff that is going to cause disease.
14:34 How can you believe that if nobody used to have heart disease and now all of a sudden everybody is sick and it all started pretty much when people started consuming seed oils and following that nonsense food pyramid.
[video] 14:56 plant-based proteins. That's what you should be consuming. And no surprise, when you do a little digging, this is tied to the meat and dairy industry. Just another piece of propaganda marketing material from the big dairy and big meat industry in the US. People involved in making this new food pyramid work for those industries and you can see they put a big fat steak right there as well as some other animal products they even have like a little tub of what looks like ground beef red meat is of course class 2a carcinogen colorectal he says the same
15:31 Mike the Vegan made a video about this and also Unnatural Vegan. We will check out what she has to say. It's funny because those are pretty much the only two vegans left who still make videos regularly. Yeah, the World Health Organization, of course. But as I said, it's all based on an association.
[video] 15:52 cancer-causing agent, according to the WHO. And then they have a bunch of dairy there. I do not think it's a coincidence that it was placed where it was. And I'm like looking at the...
16:00 If it would be so bad for you, then how did people survive? People used to hunt down animals and eat them. It's red meat.
[video] 16:11 ...of that turkey. Is that RFK Jr.'s deep-fried tallow turkey that he did on Thanksgiving? This is how we cook the mahal, eh? This is deep tallow fat, eh?
16:24 That's super cool. If you cook your food, might as well cook it with tallow. That's awesome.
[video] 16:32 Who wants to eat oats?
16:47 It looks horrible. It doesn't look like food.
[video] 16:51 So with the amount of oats that I eat in this country, I will probably be sent to El Salvador.
16:56 You look like you eat a lot of oats. The rest of the video is nonsense. He doesn't say anything interesting. He just complains and says that red meat is a class 2 carcinogen. That's all that you will get out of him. I actually saw Mike in a different video recently.
[video] 17:15 Looking good. Healthy.
[video] 17:23 If you're not on the trip, this is like the third time.
17:27 Ooh, those dark eye circles are bad because it goes all the way here and probably all around. That's pretty much the worst stage that you can achieve. It means that you're really unhealthy, exhausted. It's obviously because of the food. I don't even think that he really exercises, at least not much.
[video] 17:55 for dairy, but since I can't have dairy as a vegan, what should we have instead?
18:02 It says online that he's 33 years old, I believe, but that's not true, right? I'm sure that he said somewhere that he's in his late 30s or around 40. Somebody inform me about it because I don't believe that he's younger than me, it doesn't make any sense.
[video] 18:25 So if you're just getting the same macronutrients and of course getting things like calcium and minerals from other sources like we have for...
18:34 I cannot listen to him. I cannot take health advice from him.
[video] 18:38 Americans are just really struggling to get enough saturated fat.
18:41 Wow. I haven't seen her videos in a while.
[video] 18:47 It's hard. USDA just released new dietary guidelines.
18:52 What is going on with her?
[video] 18:55 for 2025 to 2030 spearheaded by rfk jr of course if you saw my video on his anti-vax views you know i'm not a big fan does she have some kind of eczema here
[video] 19:14 And it still like makes me feel ill just the thought of someone, you know, a conspiracy theorist in such an important pivotal public health position. But we're not going to talk about that. That's not what this video is about. We're going to ignore all the RFK stuff and just focus on the guidelines themselves. Are they an improvement over what we had before or a step backward? Okay, so interesting start. Like why? Why is it upside down? Why is it so ugly? I know.
19:40 It's not really upside down. I will show you the old pyramid after this video.
[video] 19:45 Oh, this art style? With food it just it just looks really gross to me that turkey.
19:53 Oh the turkey's nasty And what's going on with what she says that it looks gross But she said in a video that she's a freegan and she eats chicken when there's leftover chicken from her husband, for example She eats meat
[video] 20:12 bread. And the blueberries are disturbingly large. Look, it's true. I don't know how I didn't notice that, but yeah, what? Why are they so big? Other than those, the protein healthy fat dairy section is overwhelmingly animal-based and includes red meat and butter. Red meat and butter are presumably better or healthier than whole grains.
20:34 Well, yes. Can you survive by eating whole grains? Just seeds? No, that's impossible.
[video] 20:42 Americans are just really struggling to get enough saturated fat. It's hard.
20:49 Actually, that's really true. Because they eat processed junk made with seed oils. Hardly any actual animal fat.
[video] 21:00 So yeah, not great. And also I think harder to follow. You know, the reason we focus so much on grains is not just because of fiber.
21:09 It's because you're brainwashed. You eat seeds. That's what people used to do during famines.
[video] 21:16 and other vitamins and minerals, but because they tend to be cheaper.
21:20 Yeah, exactly. It's cheap slave food.
[video] 21:23 And fruits and vegetables and meats and easy to prepare. So, you know, yeah, maybe replacing... Easy to prepare?
21:31 They are already prepared for you when you buy them, usually. And even then, you cook them and add all kinds of... sauces, sugar, and whatnot to them just because of how horrible they taste.
[video] 21:47 Those whole grain calories with fruits and vegetables, if that's what they were doing, which I'll show you in a minute, that's not what they're doing, but if they were doing that, would that be healthier? It could be, sure, but is anyone actually gonna follow that? Like, it's gonna be more expensive, probably less satisfying. Public policy is never a- Wait, what?
22:04 Is she saying that eating less grains will be less satisfying? Huh? what she's totally delusional this is the old food pyramid we had the seeds and seed products at the bottom this is what we were supposed to eat the most of it doesn't make any sense because it's at the bottom then we had the vegetables plants flowers that shouldn't even be in the pyramid fruits dairy meat and at the top we had fats oils and sweets and the fats were of course supposed to be animal fats and that was mixed together with oils from seeds and sweets candy and whatnot
23:02 It was a super strange way to categorize these foods. And of course, it's not all upside down, although the grains are actually now at the bottom, which is where they should be. Now we are going to look at what they actually recommend. Real food starts here. Better health begins on your plate, not in your medicine cabinet. Okay.
23:31 All right. America is sick, the data is clear. It's not as if you need data, you can see that. You can see if a human being is sick the same way you can see if any animal is sick. For decades we've been misled by guidance, blah blah. Okay, okay. The new pyramid. Okay, we saw that already. Protein, dairy and healthy fats. Again, they say protein instead of actually meat. Although, okay, it says eggs, seafood, meats, full-fat dairy. I love hearing that. Also nuts, seeds, olives, but at least they are at the bottom.
24:25 vegetables and fruits whatever I wouldn't expect them to leave that out and whole grains also but at least they are at the bottom now that's good people now won't think that it's super healthy to eat seeds at least leaving that out would have been ideal but I wouldn't expect that
24:50 2 to 4 servings per day. Back then it said 11 or something like that. An insane amount. Who wants to eat this? Nobody on Earth.
25:01 All right. Ordination is finding blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay, cool, cool, cool. All right, cool. Let's check out the other site. Dietary guidelines for Americans. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:20 Message is simple, eat real food. Good message, of course.
25:30 It's a lot better.
25:35 I'm not going to read all of this.
25:39 Ranchers, farmers.
25:44 That's good. Yeah.
25:48 This is what they should do in Europe instead of closing down all the farms, intimidating the farmers. Eat the right amount for you. Okay, whatever. Protein. Every meal. Again, just say meat. Maybe it scares people off. Who knows what the reason for it is.
26:18 Okay, dairy. Yeah, better than eating vegetables and grains. Then come the vegetables, fruits. All right.
26:34 Whatever. Wait, canned vegetables. Oh, limited. Oh, limited sugar but not limited as such. Yeah, you shouldn't eat anything that's canned.
26:52 Incorporate healthy fats and healthy fats are what? Meats, poultry, eggs? seafood not nuts and seeds that's something completely else full-fed dairy yeah they should stop creating skim milk and all of that anyway olives avocados whatever but it is true what some people said because here it says in general saturated fat consumption should be should not exceed 10 of total daily calories How is that even doable if you eat meat and full-fed dairy? Doesn't make any sense. If it would say 20 to 30%, then it would make some sense. Significantly limiting highly processed foods. Okay, okay. Fiber...
27:48 At least they say only two to four servings per day, whatever that's supposed to mean. What is one serving exactly? How could you eat 11 servings of whole grains? That's what they used to recommend pretty much. Okay, limit processed foods, added sugars, carbohydrates.
28:16 foods that are salty or sweet that's good chips cookies yeah absolute garbage heart disease guaranteed just wait for your stroke they also talk about sodium as if it's salt that's a huge mistake obviously electrolytes are essential for hydration
28:41 You would get everything you need from natural food, obviously, the same way all animals do it. No animal has ever been recorded to eat salt. Actually, the opposite has been proven. They all die from salt, even sea animals. I've made a video about this. They do consume minerals. Goats, for example, lick mineral licks, but that's something completely else that tastes super different. They would never consume salt. No goat or any animal has ever been recorded to consume salt in any way. Not even one lick has ever been recorded.
29:32 Special populations and considerations, breast milk, yeah, okay, we get it, I'm not going to read all of this, but again, meat, poultry, seafood, it's good, food to infants, children,
29:59 They are growing, should be eating protein, foods, dairy, vegetables, fruits, healthy fats and whole grains. At least they mentioned them at the end.
30:13 Avoid caffeinated beverages, also good.
30:19 full-fat dairy products are important for children to help meet energy needs and support brain development hmm i like it raw dairy especially awesome and they need some brain for your brain bone marrow what humans eat in nature and then uh it will all be good
30:43 Rapid growth, yeah, yeah, yeah. They also talk about fortified foods, and that simply means that they add synthetic so-called vitamins and minerals to the foods, which are toxic, as I have proven in many of my videos. Many experiments have been done. Pretty much all of them have an LD50 value. Chronic disease, vegans, vegetarians. Why even mention them? Vegans and vegetarians are put in the same category and then they say dairy and eggs. Obviously, vegans won't eat that. Interesting.
31:35 This must trigger the vegans a little bit, no?
31:43 Alright, that's that. Now we are gonna look at the possible motive behind all of this.
[video] 31:50 And kids should be eating protein. They should be eating vegetables. They should be eating fresh fruit or canned fruit. They should be eating whole grains. And instead, they're eating refined carbohydrates, which is destroying their metabolic system. They're eating ultra-processed foods, salts and sugars. All of those are contributing to the fact that we now have the sickest children in the world. 77% of our children cannot qualify for military service.
32:15 77% cannot qualify for military service. And then the government brings out these new guidelines, the new pyramid. Why? Did they maybe make people too sick to the point where not that many new people joined the military? I'm not saying that this is the only reason, but is it at least one of the reasons? Come on, you have to admit that.
[video] 32:45 It's great that he says that it's diet-induced.
33:00 He really emphasizes that eating bad food makes you unhealthy, whereas most of the other people always said that it's something else. Eat whatever you want and take your medications. It's not the food that's making you sick. Whatever the motive behind this, still, of course, overall, it's good to hear him talk about the truth when it comes to eating meat, animals, even though he says protein, still, it's a step into the right direction, as I said.
[video] 33:32 35% are overweight of our teens who are obese. 20% of young adults have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
33:41 And that's absolutely crazy.
[video] 33:44 These guidelines will be active for the next 5 years approximately.
33:59 meaning that around 2030 you will have new, healthier people who will join the military. Is there a reason for it? Are they planning something? Or do they simply generally want a strong military, healthy young men and women in the military? That's also possible. Or there's something else going on. Let me know what you think about it. Thanks for watching.
