If your only pillar for confidence is looks, the moment those looks get questioned, the moment you doubt those looks, which you will, because there's always somebody better looking than you, the moment your beauty is questioned is the moment you start to see cracks in the foundation.

He basically directly said that. And it's just not working out for him. Which means that there must be another way to do it. There must be another reason why it's not working out for him.
