0:00 Hi, I recently rewatched this film called Soylent Green. You have probably heard about it. Milk Jar recommended it. It's showing the future where everybody is eating these soy foods. Sounds familiar?

Why would it be there? Start thinking about it. They are trying to replace milk with soy milk. Soy is not an animal. How could it have milk?

Fructose has been around for all the time we've been on this earth. Yes, but unless you lived in the tropics, small number of people did, and of course they were outdoors burning it all off, doing things. They weren't sitting in front of a computer or reading all day. But nonetheless, that was a tiny portion of the planet. Everybody else that wasn't in a tropical climate was able to eat fructose. Remember, we're talking about a long time ago. No planes, no boats, no trains, no refrigeration, no stores. So you could only eat it when you could find a fruit on a tree or on a vine. Before we hybridized them and made early season varieties and late season varieties, just the stuff that the planet gave us depends on how long the growing season is in that part of the planet. So if you're not in the tropics, in most places, fruit are available between six and 12 weeks. So after three months, there's no more fruit. We're told, eat more fruits. They're good for you. So we're getting more fructose than any other indigenous population ever got, except the ones in the tropics that were able to burn it all off and be outside. So fructose is a major problem. Well, so what? Why? Why fructose? Because fructose has now been conclusively proven all by its lonesome self to cause type 2 diabetes, because it causes cellular insulin resistance, and to cause non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Fructose does that. And I would suggest that next to the statin drugs, insulin is the most prescribed drug in the world.
[video] 3:54 My point is, the conventional management doesn't improve the patient's outcome. And why not? Because the cause is the high carbohydrate diet. And if you continue to give people insulin which they don't need, because type 2 diabetes is a disease of insulin excess, not insulin deficiency. It's a disease of insulin resistance. So this is conventional advice that we teach every day to our medical students across the world. And it's wrong. And it's not helping. Jane, I'm afraid your mother has diabetes. We can cure her with a simple low-carbohydrate diet. However, the guidelines tell me, the guidelines tell me, the conventional guidelines tell me I must prescribe pills, insulin, and loads of carbohydrates so her condition will just keep getting worse. Sorry about that. So that summarizes conventional advice. We know it's wrong. The evidence is clear. We shouldn't be giving that advice. We should be giving what is the unconventional advice which will save our patients.
[video] 4:53 But the key driver is that diabetics have a liver that is overproducing glucose. And the point being, why would you want to give them more glucose when their liver is already overproducing glucose? And remember, we came in with my father's disease. He's told to eat carbohydrates. He's diabetes. But he's got a liver that's overproducing glucose. Why does he need more glucose? Doesn't make sense. And he doesn't need more glucose because of his insulin resistance. So the next characteristic is you can't store the extra carbohydrates. So the liver's overproducing glucose, but you can't store it. You can't get it into the muscles and it can't store in the liver. So it has to go somewhere. And what that means is your glucose is up. And because your glucose is perpetually up, your insulin is always rising. So you've got the hypokinemia. And that's critical. I used to believe, when I was a student perhaps, that type 2 diabetes is you've got too little insulin. No, you've got too much insulin. And we only understand that because we've started measuring insulin more effectively.
[video] 5:51 So we've got this high blood glucose and high insulin and every time we ingest carbohydrates we make it worse.
5:58 There's some scenes in the film where they show a beefsteak. It's this rare thing that everybody wants to eat but only the rich actually get to do it. And the guy remembers the butter, eggs and meat that they used to have. Whereas the new generation doesn't understand why he's so emotional about it. Of course that's not how it actually would be.

6:26 But let's talk realistically about it. Veganism could easily lead to mass cannibalism. How? I'm glad you asked. When they would at last realize that everybody is infertile and sick, they would want to go back to eating meat. But if there would be not enough animals left, they would start eating each other. That's guaranteed. And if you don't get this, that's only because you don't get humans.

They are fats which are water-soluble. And so they can transport through the body easily and they can cross the placenta And they can get into the brain. They can cross the blood-brain barrier without any problems. And that is what makes them unique. They are powerful agents for energy metabolism and for building brains at the same time. And they're water-soluble. And that's the key. So if we hadn't had ketones... We would never have got big brains. Humans are the only land-based mammals whose babies are born fat. And we convert that body fat through ketones to our brains. Animal is the only best or most bioavailable source for DHA, which is one of the fats used in the brain development, vitamin D, iron, vitamin A, zinc.
[video] 9:57 And then of course some plants interfere with absorption and utilization of iron, iodine, and zinc. But the reality is when you look at the evidence, the evidence is very clear that breast milk is ketogenic. The conclusion from this study, and we'll look at the real data, analysis in this group showed no difference in blood glucose levels across different feeding groups. That's either breastfed or formula-fed infants. but revealed a significantly greater ketone body concentration for infants who were exclusively breastfed. So here the study shows that breastfeeding produces ketosis, which can be obliterated by bottle feeding. And by bottle feeding, I mean bottle feeding of infant formulas. Routine formula milk supplementation for large for gestational age and small for gestational age infants should not be recommended. Why? because it doesn't produce ketosis and you need the ketosis for the child to develop fully.
[video] 10:57 So that's their conclusion. These are the experts. So these are median peak and ketone body concentrations. This is when the glucose concentration is the lowest. And then you'll have the ketone bodies are the highest. And then when you look at breast and formula milk, the values are lower for both groups. And formula milk, they're really low. So on the far right hand, you've got 0.12 for formula milk. versus 0.87 for breast milk in small for gestational age, and that is significantly different, and the same that the ketone body concentrations are significantly higher in breast milk-fed small for gestational age babies. So it is very clear that formula milk prevents ketosis. Why would you want to transition from fat metabolism to carbohydrate metabolism if fat metabolism is a normal state? What they're measuring is what happens when we feed children more carbohydrates. They become carbohydrate adapted.

11:58 Vegans are so used to cannibalism because they eat their own bodies all the time, feed on human flesh, that they would be the first ones to attack you in the wild when there would be no food around. That's guaranteed. No animal chooses anybody else's life over their own when it comes to food and survival. And because vegans are already so malnourished, they would be the first ones to bite. I don't believe that this is actually going to happen. in the near future veganism will be laughed at and people will think how did we get fooled into only eating plants while eating raw liver I hope for me it's already the biggest joke ever really
