0:00 Hey, what's up as requested I'm going to be reviewing a video called What if you never ate a single vegetable in your life? So you don't like fruits and veggies you think they'd people like fruits because they are sweet They don't like bitter flowers green leaves sexual plants because they are poisonous taste terrible then they look disgusting and Yes, it's your intuition telling you not to eat them.

[video] 0:33 And that you'd be better off if you never ate them again. Or better yet, never started eating them at all.

0:41 People never used to eat them. Do you believe that humans in nature eat grass, leaves from the trees, actual flowers? Come on.

[video] 0:52 Now there's a thought. What if you never ate fruits and veggies?

0:56 That's easy, because none of this exists in nature. There are fruits and plants in nature, but they look different. The fruits and vegetables that you find in the supermarket don't exist in the wild. Some of those vegetables and fruits exist, but in very different forms. You can find wild carrots in the forest, but you will never want to eat them because of how bitter they are. The fruits are usually smaller, they have bigger seeds, less fruit flesh and these vegetables you will never find in the wild.

[video] 1:40 We're talking from the time you were a baby all the way up to adulthood. What would this do to your body? What problems would you encounter? Are there any benefits? Simply look at any humans that live in nature

[video] 2:05 they may try to squeeze out the juices from plants if they are starving it would be a last resort food pyramid and take a look at just how much of these healthy snacks make up our recommended daily dose thanks for helping us out here foodie as we can see right on foodie's belly 35 of a healthy diet should consist of fruits and vegetables

2:30 That would cause a lot of gut issues, especially if you would be eating more vegetables than fruits.

[video] 2:37 Now, when you hear it like that, it's kind of hard to understand just how much that is. So, let's think of it this way. 35% is roughly 5 portions, and a single portion is just about 80 grams. So, what are the benefits of eating this many fruits and vegetables? We're glad you asked. Check this out. Fruits and vegetables are a fantastic source of vitamins and minerals.

2:58 Of course. Can you prove that? No.

[video] 3:02 They are where we get folate, vitamin C and potassium.

3:07 Always the vitamin C. Always. That's all that they ever mention.

[video] 3:12 which are all needed to keep you healthy and strong and keep your immune system running at peak performance. You will also get the perfect amount of your recommended dietary fiber from sticking...

3:22 Yes, fiber, the indigestible parts of these plants. That's what we need.

[video] 3:28 ...to this five portions a day way. Dietary fiber keeps your gut in top-notch shape and you'll be less likely to become constipated.

3:38 Right. If you eat indigestible food, then it's less likely that you will be constipated. That's a logical sentence. I haven't had any vegetables in 10 years. Where is my constipation? I guess that it will come later in another 10 years, maybe.

[video] 3:59 And in the long term, you'll be less likely to develop bowel cancer. But the benefits don't stop there, Brainiacs. Fruits and vegetables lower your chance of getting heart disease and stroke as well. They're delicious and nutritious.

4:13 At the beginning of the video, you basically implied that they are not delicious.

[video] 4:21 And are the perfect side to your meals. We're glad to hear that you like them so much. Oh.

4:28 Heh, those bubbles are pretty colorful. Is that supposed to brainwash children?

[video] 4:36 like them oh boy well certainly some people may not be down with the decision of sticking to this five-a-day plan on top of that there are some people who flat out just don't eat their fruits and veggies at all so what does this do to the body how about the brain what would it do to old foodie here let's go to the science books for this one and start right from the beginning and imagine a life without fruits and vegetables if you just straight up

5:00 Yes, that's life in nature. You wouldn't have the fruits and vegetables that we have in the supermarket today. As I said, you would have the wild versions. And when it comes to the so-called vegetables, all the plants, you would not want to eat it. You would eat the fruits, a lot of them. Some of them, of course, are also poisonous.

[video] 5:23 never ate your fruits and vegetables starting from the time you were a baby you might actually be able to get by a few years no problem infants exclusively drink breast milk for the first six months of their lives and even then it's not unheard of for some moms to breastfeed their kids for the first year or two of their lives the world health organization recommends starting babies on eating other foods which includes pureed fruits and vegetables at around that six month old mark but technically you could get away with living this

5:48 Yes, and then the parents always wonder, why is my child screaming all the time? Why does my child have eczema? What's going on?

[video] 6:18 this is because greens contain cellulose which helps with keeping you regular without cellulose and of course the natural fiber vegetables contain you'd experience bloating and weight gain speak bloating if you don't eat indigestible plants what the fuck is this man Yes, it's not the chips or the garbage that you eat. You're simply lacking vegetables.

[video] 6:54 source of vitamins and minerals. I mean there is a reason they are such a big part of our buddy foodie the food pyramid here. Every day of your teens and early adulthood would be a struggle too. You would constantly have low energy and you would have a really weak immune system. Expect to get sick much more often and have a longer recovery time as well. Now that you're grown, get ready for some more permanent side effects to the no fruit and veggie life. It's been proven that the lack of iron in your system from cutting out greens can cause hair loss and your lack of

7:22 wait what what you're trying to brainwash children i assume that they will have hair loss later on because they don't eat fruits and vegetables the vitamin b would cause constant dry skin and you'd have little cracks in the corner of your mouth too not fun and not very becoming wow and none of this can be proven obviously needless to say

[video] 7:53 DNA damage, yeah. Completely unscientific statements based on nothing at all.

[video] 8:14 boost inflammation, and also fight off any potentially cancer-causing substances in your system. I mean, let's put it bluntly, you'd be miserable. Just a sad sack of low-energy miserableness. But let's be a bit more realistic here. Most people haven't gone their whole lives without eating their greens. What if you just, you know, stopped now? Like all of a sudden, just right now, right as you are, what if you stopped eating fruits and vegetables? Mood swings would most likely be the first thing you would experience. The lack of glucose and carbs would affect your brain, and you wouldn't be running in your top form. And, on top of now being miserable to be around, you'd have trouble focusing too. The lack of fiber would certainly hit you as well, and you'd very likely lose your, uh, regularity, if you know what we mean. Here's the other immediate side effect you would feel. Food just wouldn't be as filling, and you'd crave much more than what you

[video] 9:02 absolutely none of this is based on anything there's just no evidence for any of it your body most likely needs the high fiber and water content that are found in those greens keep you nice and full for longer so if you're not eating fruits and vegetables you just aren't going to be as satisfied with your meals and that means you are going to keep on eating and that can mean some pretty significant weight gain In fact, studies have shown that there is a direct link between a person's weight and their consumption of fruits and veggies. The more you eat them, the smaller the circumference of your waist. And hey, what can we say? There's a reason the old adage is an apple a day keeps the doctor away, although we'd recommend changing it to an apple and an asparagus a day. So, convinced yet? Did all our statistics as well as consulting Foodie the Food Pyramid get you on the side of greens?

9:49 what no okay time to bust out the big guns if this doesn't convince you that you should be eating how could this convince anybody if you don't even show any proof for your claims what is any of this based on humans in nature don't have access to any of these fruits and vegetables and for sure the vegetables as i said there's fruits but they are different Why do they not suffer then? They hunt down animals and eat them.

[video] 10:19 Okay, but most people on Earth eat this way and they are sick.

10:43 People are unhealthy and they follow the food pyramid. Obviously, something needs to change.

[video] 10:50 ...linked a full and complete diet to higher grades in school. You wanna rule the world? Start with ruling your diet. A great visual way of remembering to keep an eclectic mix of foods always entering your system is to eat the rainbow. But what does this mean? Well, in essence, the color of fruits and vegetables, be it red, yellow, green, purple or white,

11:11 Green makes no sense. Nobody is attracted to green food.

11:18 Red? Yes, of course.

11:22 The rest, you can argue about it, but we don't want green food.

11:45 All of these claims with no proof at all.

12:03 Yes, I thought of grapes before, but the grapes are actually kind of see-through in the middle, under the skin. Maybe they are slightly green. Generally, when you look at green plants, you don't feel as if you want to swallow them quickly as if it's actual food.

[video] 12:29 These help with not only your digestion, but your immune system.

12:32 In addition to helping your eyesight and your bones... What is any of this based on, man? You can just say that about anything. Was this created to simply brainwash naive people, children?

[video] 12:48 Be the best that they can be. The purple category includes eggplants, beets, blueberries, red grapes and blackberries. These foods help with memory and keep your urinary system healthy, as well as containing anti-aging properties. Finally, we come to the foods that are the color white. These include corn, mushrooms, onions, bananas, the inside part, not the skins, cauliflower and potatoes. Feed from this category prevents ulcers, keeps your colon healthy, and lowers cholesterol. Remembering to eat the rainbow is a fun way to make sure you are all around healthy and st- You should basically only eat red food. Wrong. And you'll live a nice long life. Speaking of, that's not just our opinion. Studies show that people who eat five fruits and vegetables a day live an extra three years compared to those who-

13:34 Three years, some correlation study. It's unscientific garbage.

[video] 13:40 ...decided to skip the greens. In fact, in Taiwan, researchers found that if people spent 50 cents a day on fruits and veggies, there would be a 10% drop in the mortality rate. Let's think about that for a second. A 10% drop in the mortality rate, and it's only... two quarters?

13:56 You're not making any sense. If these foods don't exist in nature, then how could they be healthy?

[video] 14:06 Huh?

14:28 Right. If you would be eating meat then it would be muscle meat. Okay.

[video] 14:31 It's also interesting how they talk about fruits and vegetables. Yes, you like fruits, naturally, because you like sweet food.

14:51 That's how it's supposed to be, because that means that it's good for you. But the vegetables don't taste good, meaning that it's bad for you.

[video] 15:00 food is happy well they it's as if they are trying to trick you fruits and vegetables the sweet and the bitter stuff you're gonna be happy too because you're eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables stay happy healthy and safe brain yaks we'll see you next time and for more fun and exciting science videos be sure to check out our channel

15:21 Science videos. Where was the science? Science is knowledge. It's what you can factually sense. These are just beliefs. You cannot prove any of this. As I said, how could you possibly become healthier by eating something that doesn't exist in nature? Nature is health, meaning that to be healthy you need to eat natural food. You hunt down animals, you eat their organs, you drink their blood, then you're gonna be healthy, strong, you're gonna live a long life. How could man-made vegetables and fruits also somehow make you healthy? Just purely logically it makes no sense. And obviously he has nothing to back up the claims.

16:19 These are empty, pretty much religious claims. Fruits are fine. And of course it's hard to get natural fruits nowadays. But wild fruits are for sure good for you. Your senses tell you that. You taste something sweet and you automatically know, it's good for me, it's healthy, of course. That's how they nowadays trick you to eat cookies, cakes and all of the poisonous garbage. It's because your senses know that sweet means good. But when it comes to man-made food, sweet doesn't mean good. Because man-made food in general is bad for you. And man-made vegetables are especially bad for you. Thanks for watching.
