0:00 Hey guys, as requested, I'm going to review the latest video by Will Tenis, and it's called I Survived Extreme Winter Camping.

[video] 0:08 I hate the cold. I know it's not the most Canadian thing to say, but I just really hate it.

0:12 And I want to change my rela- Every human being and every other animal also hates the cold. The animals which live in cold climates have very thick fur or a lot of fat to protect themselves from the cold, which means that they don't actually feel cold. Humans who live in cold climates need to wear very thick clothes, ideally of course leather, fur from animals, which will protect them from the cold. Nobody takes off the clothes because everybody hates the cold. People who live in cold climates are spend most of the time inside, such as people who live in Iceland or Finland. When there's no sunlight and it's cold, eight months a year in Finland, Norway and Sweden, then you sit inside and once it's sunny and warm, people go outside. Naturally, because they don't like living there most of the year, which is why they go on holiday a lot and in summer they come outside. At last.

1:11 It's just very important to realize that every animal on Earth hates the cold. And that's because when the temperature is below your body temperature, which is 37 degrees, then it feels horrible. It feels very uncomfortable. And everything that's out of your comfort zone is unhealthy and reduces your lifespan.

[video] 1:29 Relationship with winter from hate to love.

1:31 How? You can't because you would have to change your biology for that to happen. It's literally impossible.

[video] 1:38 I'm going to drive two hours up north to a frozen land where they embrace the cold and the beauty of nature, even during the harshest times.

[video] 1:45 Welcome to cold camp. It's minus 17 outside. It feels like, I don't want to know. But today's going to be a day where shrinkage meets enlightenment. That's for sure. I feel underdressed, but only because I'm not wearing my Apple Watch. Because I feel like it's going to be too cold outside.

[video] 2:06 We're headed now to our first activity, which is probably the hardest one of the day, which is the sunrise dip. I'm not gonna probably be enjoying the sunrise. I'm probably gonna be like curled up, just trying not to die. Heading to the cabin first to do some breath.

2:16 Yes, exactly, because the cold can very easily kill you. In nature, you would never risk even going close to cold water because you would die 99.99% of the time. The only time you wouldn't die is if somebody would create a fire and you could quickly go to the fire and warm yourself up. It's almost impossible to survive.

[video] 2:37 Work, I think, before we go in because if we don't breathe well, shit's probably gonna go south. It's beautiful though here, man. Wow. I swear the cold makes my calves shrink.

2:48 Oh my god, is this the poser of the century? He comes out of the cold water with an axe? I've never seen something so stupid. The ice plunge is one of those peak moments of fight or flight survival mode. Yes, exactly. Exactly, that's what I was talking about. It's when your body produces a lot of hormones which are supposed to make you, in this case, run away from the situation. If you would fall into cold water in nature, then you would produce these hormones to quickly get out of the water. Your body would also try to heat itself up as much as possible. It's impossible to do it for a long time. to quickly get out, not to die, for your organs to fail, to go to some kind of shelter, as I said, if you know how to make fire, anything where you can get warm again.

[video] 3:42 Your nervous system is gonna take it as a threat when you get in the water?

3:46 Yes, because it is a threat. It's unhealthy. That's what a threat is. you can actually get a very severe infection from the cold the reason people get sick in winter the reason they get colds is because they don't wear a hat a scarf and so on it's literally just from the cold water you're gonna have a mammalian dive reflex if you've ever been in a cold shower anything like that you're gonna feel this gasp how you're gonna counteract that because a big inhale another sharp inhale and then a long exhale so it looks like this

[video] 4:20 Exactly. And then you go in as the... Exactly.

4:23 Ice plunge is really good for immunity, for metabolic health. Immunity, metabolic health, explain that, prove that immunity, it's already been proven that your immune system gets destroyed by the cold. There's tons of studies, videos about this, blood tests, everything has been released. We know that the cold destroys your immune system. Your antibodies go through the roof when you go into the cold. And about the metabolism, what exactly is he talking about? You would burn a lot more calories if you would be in the cold because of the stress. Is that what he means? Who knows? For circulation, for mood boosting... Circulation. Again, what does he mean? The cold restricts your blood vessels because it's such severe stress on the blood vessels. I don't know what he means. Again, it's just empty talk. Vigilance, tension. Vigilance, tension.

5:18 Nobody has any idea what you mean as far as boosting your mood goes. Again, there's chemicals released which will make you feel better once you get out of the cold. When you're in the cold, your mood is... at its worst state. Look at anybody's face expression when they are in the cold, doing cold showers, ice baths. They hate it so much. They have the worst mood you could possibly imagine. Once they get out and go into the warmth, yes, they feel good, of course, because you just escaped not only torture, basically death. That's what your body believes.

[video] 5:54 Focus, fat metabolism. If you were to just get into the water, not do a head dunk, your body's going to...

6:00 He also said, focus, again, because you're in a very deadly, dangerous situation. Biochemically, your focus increases. Of course, that's what happens when there's danger and torture. Oh my God.

6:27 If the code is beneficial, if they like it, why do they wear clothes? Why do they wear those thick jackets? Why not just go out in a t-shirt, a tank top? Will always likes to wear tank tops. Why don't they do it? It's beneficial, right?

[video] 6:46 So is winter your favorite season? No, summer is by a mile.

6:50 What?

6:55 that's scary man like all i see is darkness you can test it just put the spike down it's naturally scary there's darkness the unknown of course you have a triangle that's perfect then you have snow ice cold water everything about that naturally signals your body to stay away from it

[video] 7:22 Yeah, this is gonna be right at your chin. Right at your chin. Just to get our body warm, prime our nervous system. So let's just push honey and molasses side to side. Push, squeeze.

7:33 Is this from Wim Hof? But Wim Hof is an alcoholic with dementia. Why would you be doing this?

7:43 Don't you realize how you look like?

[video] 7:48 Yeah, let's get off until your skin is ready.

[video] 7:58 I'm not sure which wood I was chopping because in this weather there was nothing to be found but at this moment for some reason I was terrified maybe because I saw the water.

8:05 They really don't realize that they look mentally ill by doing that.

[video] 8:09 Read minus three degrees Celsius when normal cold plungers range anywhere from three to five degrees Celsius.

8:14 Take a look at the sun get that warmth on your face.

8:19 Get the warmth on your face. Oh my god, this video is so contradictory.

8:33 You couldn't pay me to do that. The timer starts shortly. You can see the ice is already forming around your legs.

[video] 8:40 Idiot. So let's take that big breath in. Okay, come on Will, let's go.

8:50 Wait, he's also wearing a hat? And he has gloves on. Oh my god, this is so incredibly contradictory. Oh my god.

[video] 9:00 Switch it from fighting it to surrendering.

[video] 9:17 Three, two, one. Take your time, take your time. Take your breath, take your breath.

[video] 9:32 Okay. Take a moment. All right, let's get some movement again, okay? Let's do 10 wood chops here. You got it. Up.

[video] 9:44 Up again. Up again.

9:48 oh my god he just went into ice cold water even put his head under the water then he goes out of the water and is chopping wood in the air if this is not a mental illness then what is

[video] 10:14 Coke is overrated because Coke's about seven minutes. This is going to last for two and a half hours. I'm actually getting warmer right now. I want to go back in and catch some lunch for everybody.

10:25 Yes, because your body is shocked, you just reduced your lifespan, you're extremely stressed.

[video] 10:33 I feel like amazing, man.

10:36 Yes, because you were just in ice cold water, your body believed that you're dying. That's why you felt so horrible in the cold water, because what you just did was horrible for you. You were not expressing the same kind of feelings when you were inside of the water. Now that you got out of it, your body is rewarding you. How do you not understand this? It's just so crazy how dumb people are.

11:18 But you hated it. I've never seen a more miserable human being in my life. Your face expression when you were in the cold water was as if you want to die. It was just the worst. You don't appreciate it whatsoever. Right now you should come out and say, wow, I was wrong. I'm an absolute idiot. I was brainwashed into doing this. I hate myself. I now realize that the cold feels horrible because I just watched the video that I filmed. I looked at myself and I saw that I hated it. Okay, video is done. Let's fly to Miami.

[video] 11:54 Can't embrace it, man. When you embrace it and just make the best of it. It's fricking beautiful. I don't know why I was hating on it. It's like only 830 in the morning. I feel so good. I really wanna get warm.

12:04 If you feel so good and you like the cold, why not go back into the cold water? Or why not say this when you're in the cold water? What is wrong with this guy?

[video] 12:15 But we have to, we gotta wait for a few minutes and then...

[video] 12:24 How does it feel moving those muscles right now? Really weird. It's like they're working but not working at the same time. Yeah. Well, it's because they have restricted blood flow right now, right?

12:35 Wait, wait. They have restricted blood flow? I thought that you said that it makes the circulation, the blood flow better. Why are there so many contradictions in this video? I've never seen this before. It's like the fourth now.

[video] 12:51 Can I take my slippers off? Ideally, yeah. Okay. Oh, no. Then after this, we'll go back to the ice cream. It's a great moment to remind yourself. Look at my goosebumps, dude. Yeah. Oh, my God.

[video] 13:09 Nice and slow. It's going to feel hot. Oh, my God, it feels hot. Oh, my God. That's why we don't normally go in the hot tub after. Sitting in the hot tub, I don't think my body's been this confused since seeing Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. All I know is the day just started and I better get used to being cold. Coffee time? Coffee time. A lot of times now we go into a coffee shop, we ask for the Wi-Fi password, we sit in our laptop, we work. The point of this coffee is that you actually spend time enjoying it, sipping it, looking out at a view, connecting with people around a fire. It's more about the setting. Oh, my eyes. Yeah, it can be emotional.

13:43 Instead of coffee, you could boil some bone broth. It's as if he acts like he wants to connect to people, as if it has something to do with nature, actual human connection, even though it has nothing to do with it because you're giving the guy toxic seed soup. This is jet fuel.

[video] 14:04 And it actually froths and tones up here. Oh, wow, yeah.

14:08 Yes, you could actually get a panic attack from coffee because of how stressful it is for your body, especially when it's this strong. It's right. That makes no sense. Fifth contradiction in this video. What the hell is going on? It's making my inside shiver.

[video] 14:40 How do you think the coffee? Just black. Just black? How it should be. How do you? I've been doing a little oatmeal. I know. Come on. I don't know if it's me just like flirting with hypothermia or whatever it is, but it's four o'clock right now. And as you can see, I'm like fully adapted. Like I am not cold whatsoever. I actually feel quite warm.

14:55 Then why did you not walk around like that the whole time? Why right now in the sunlight? What if there was no sun? Would he do the same? Of course not. Like, I'm the type of guy who I need to bundle up when I go outside usually, but it's all in your mind. Yes, naturally, because you don't want to feel cold. Tell yourself you're not that cold, you just focus on your breathing. This is not mental whatsoever. What are you talking about? You can't talk yourself into believing that it's warm outside. If you feel cold, then it's cold. And you can't do anything about it. There's no words that can change that. I can just be like this all day. And it feels very exhilarating. Might lose the shorts soon.

15:43 also what a lot of people don't know is that the snow reflects the sun very well which is why you can even get a sunburn in winter even though the sun is not very high just because of the reflection from the snow it makes it all way stronger which is why it feels a lot warmer for him i swear not even cold

[video] 16:12 I'm gonna dunk and I'm gonna stay in. I'm not getting out like last time. Three, two. Woo!

[video] 16:33 Every second that I'm in the water, it becomes easier and easier, and my confidence is building. Later on, I did my third plunge of the day, which was a date with the wifey Mrs. T, which I think is probably going to be the first of many. This was before my final dip with Ron, the man in the lime green robe, which I am extremely jealous of.

16:44 Wait, he's married? But he has no children, right? From what I know. That's something that I could never understand. How can you get married but have no children? It's just, I don't get it.

[video] 16:59 His nickname is actually Canada's Iceman, who's currently on a streak of over 1,200 days straight of cold plunges. He'd clearly rather be in cold water than on land.

[video] 17:09 Oh my god. What? I will not be trying that. That's literally one of my biggest fears of my life, underwater with ice. No shot. This ice is like six inches deep.

[video] 17:27 You can also see how red the guy's body is and that's because the body is so stressed and in shock. It's super unhealthy.

17:59 You look like Elmo now, bro.

18:09 It's always the same. They hate the cold so much that afterwards they need to go into a sauna. And even this guy, who's supposedly some expert, still loves to go into the sauna to warm himself up afterwards. Because really all that anybody, whether it's a human or an animal, wants is to be at its body temperature. And that's what they are doing now. way below their body temperature and now they want to get back to their normal body temperature. The same reason why if you're in a sauna afterwards, you jump into the snow. It's just always the same. These people are just oblivious.

18:52 Oh my god, did you see how she's shaking? Oh my god, man.

[video] 18:56 How did you get into doing the cold exposure every single day? I'm always a swimmer. Growing up, I used to compete, but it's like, okay, I've never done swimming in the cold. It kind of gave me another purpose. I went sober also during the whole time. So I've been sober for four years. Wow. And I think this helped.

19:16 Would you say that I kind of almost like see... Incredibly many alcoholics are into this. ...your life in a way?

[video] 19:22 Yes, I've been saying that on all the polls. That was awesome. Yeah, thank you. Cheers, buddy. Today was all about proving myself wrong, telling myself I could do something even when I thought I couldn't. As humans, comfort is our biggest trap and breaking out of our comfort zone will probably...

19:33 Comfort is our biggest trap?

19:38 It's as if he's saying that our intuition is a trap, which means that nature is a trap, which means that you need to completely go against nature, your intuition and comfort, To be what? Healthy? Is that his point? Is nature trapping us to be unhealthy? Which means that we need to go outside of nature, outside of our comfort zone, our intuition, to become healthier? What is his point exactly? It will always go wrong if you go against nature.

[video] 20:08 ...be our biggest challenge. You can't let fear make decisions for you. So whatever it is that you want to go...

20:14 That's exactly what you should do, literally. If you feel fear, then you should stay away from something. If you see a dark forest, you don't know what's inside, stay away from it and so on. That's what we are naturally afraid of.

[video] 20:30 Go for it. You're the only thing standing in your way. And as for the winter and the cold, I don't hate it anymore.

20:36 No, never do it. These people are very dumb and brainwashed. They have no idea what damage they are doing to their bodies. Always listen to your intuition, always stay in your comfort zone, which really just means always follow nature.

20:54 And then, of course, you have a protein donut hole, which is promoting wholesomes.

21:03 Perfect ending for a stupid video. This guy is incredibly wrong and ignorant. You can almost never find that online. How can you contradict yourself so many times in a video? You say something completely else at the start of the video and then in the middle of the video you say that it's completely different.

21:22 who edits these videos you could have at least edited it out but then again i guess that it's somehow honest to show your absolute stupidity in the video of course as i pointed out already they always have to go to a warm place after being in the cold they say how they like the cold but then when you see their face expressions and actually their whole body expressions when they are shaking you can see that they absolutely hate the cold this video was essentially just an expression of a mental illness a bunch of guys who are completely unaware of what they say and what they do. They say one thing, but then they do something completely else and they film it for us to see it and to laugh at it. Thank you for that. It's great entertainment to see dumb and brainwashed people, I suppose, but come on. Think about your health.

22:15 You're completely destroying your health and reducing your lifespan by doing something which is out of your comfort zone. When you're in your comfort zone, you will live a healthy and long life. Whenever you go against your intuition, which is your comfort, which as I said is essentially just nature because nature programmed you, then you will always become unhealthier and reduce your lifespan, which really just means that you're killing yourself. This was a video of a bunch of essentially mentally ill people indirectly killing themselves. And they actually recorded it to show it to us. Bravo! Thanks for watching.
