0:00 hi i'm gonna be reviewing a video called six psychology tricks to make people respect you instantly normally earning respect takes years of demonstrating high character but i love how he starts the video with brad pitt brad pitt is also on the thumbnail and ryan gosling also also a good looking guy not as good as brad pitt but he looks all right there are exceptions and that's why in this video we'll come will smith uh Looks okay. I guess that he looked all right when he was younger.
[video] 0:33 There are six psychological tricks that you can use to command more respect almost instantly.
0:40 Upgrade okay.
[video] 0:41 Well, we'll see not even gonna try guessing what he's gonna say and to do it We'll be breaking down some of the most commanding presences that we've covered on this channel The first trick to immediately command more respect is to upgrade your thin slice People can make their first judgment on whether or not they like someone within just five seconds of seeing them and it's dramatize.
0:58 Yeah because of your looks right but we've all experienced the sense of liking some oh it says refers to observing a selection of uh an interaction usually less than five minutes oh yeah right one as soon as we saw them like in the scene from crazy stupid love he is funny he looks like a carrot honey looks like a carrot
1:24 He is funny? What, from seeing him? What did she mean? I don't know the movie. I don't think that I've ever seen it.
[video] 1:34 Ha ha ha ha ha!
[video] 1:50 oh my god funny funny guy is this a comedy channel the mistake that most people make here is dressing with the subconscious goal of blending in because they're subconsciously scared of being judged they dress like everyone around them to avoid even being noticed and i don't want to focus too much on this but there are two quick fixes first to start dressing one level nicer than the situation calls for which will get you noticed in a positive way and that's exactly what you see from ryan gosling
2:15 Yeah, so he shows good-looking guys who dress well, okay? So what? And then show bad-looking guys who dress well. Is anybody gonna pay attention to them? This is so stupid.
[video] 2:29 And crazy stupid love. And second is to focus much more on finding a brand that fits and flatters your body type rather than on finding the most expensive brand you can afford. Now, after your style, the next easy trick to influence your thin slice and immediately command more respect is to physically take up more space. Watch your head's tone.
2:44 Yeah, but that's funny. What was the other guy's name from the office? Steve Carell or something? Why doesn't he show him in a suit at the Golden Globes or something? He shows a good looking guy with the suit and whatnot because the looks are what define it. The looks give you the attention, the thin slice. I've never heard of that term before, but it's all about that.
3:12 That's why you don't show bad-looking guys with a suit and whatever kind of clothes. Because there are no clothes for them.
[video] 3:19 Yeah, because of his jaw, man. It looks like he could bite you in half.
[video] 3:30 Now, physically taking up more space doesn't have to mean huge hand gestures that demand the spotlight. It could be as simple as sitting asymmetrically or taking up your entire seat. And the goal here isn't to encroach on anyone else's space in some kind of dominance game. In fact, you can always adjust to make more room for the people around you. It's to sub-communicate that you aren't afraid of being seen with your body. And that's ex-
3:58 He still keeps showing good-looking guys all the time. Literally, he makes a video about psychology and whatnot, but then still ends up showing the looks, because that's what it's about. The height and the looks. Otherwise, if what you would be saying would be true, and that goes for all of these stupid videos, Then you could simply show a bad-looking guy, somebody who's below average in height, who does all of this, and he gets the respect, he gets attention from girls, he can sit with his legs wide open and take up the space, but it's gonna look ridiculous when they do it. That's why you show these guys. Because it doesn't actually matter what they do, because no matter what they do, they will have the respect and the attention. It's just so dumb, man, that people fall for this.
4:54 To be fair, Kevin James from the King of Queens, he's not a bad looking guy. He's just very overweight. If he would lose the weight, yeah, he would look pretty alright. Yeah.
[video] 5:14 The easiest way to take up more space in a non-invasive way is with your own posture.
[video] 5:20 Oh, wait.
5:21 It's just that when you put glasses, of course, on his face, and because he has that extra weight, you can make him look like that insecure guy as if he's bad looking. Yeah, to be fair, in that clip specifically, he wasn't good looking. I'm only saying and he's older already. Also. Yeah, that has to be really calculated in but yeah again, he takes a guy who's not good-looking in that particular scene and then portrays him as the shy insecure guy and Come on. And why not take a good-looking guy who does literally the same, take Brad Pitt, put glasses on him, make him look down, kind of insecure. The girls will just say, oh, he looks cute. Oh, he's a shy guy or something like that. But they're into him. Oh, he's mysterious. Yeah, yeah. He's that mysterious guy with the glasses.
[video] 6:18 Next time that you're about to enter a room, just take a second to roll your shoulders back a few times and increase the space between the bottom of your ribs and your hip bones. This will make you stand taller and you'll notice an immediate difference. Stand taller? Oh my god, literally, come on, man. This video is a joke. ...more space and it's to get comfortable with platonic touching. And yes, this one is on pause for the duration of social distancing. But generally speaking, most Westerners are awkward when it comes to making physical contact with others. For instance, waving hello instead of handshaking and generally avoiding any physical contact after that initial greeting. But touch is integral to human connection and not just with romantic partners. Touch builds trust and creates a feeling of sa- Man, what is with this video?
6:54 He literally, again, Tobey Maguire isn't unattractive, but they made him look as unattractive as possible in Spider-Man. Again, he's supposed to be the shy and awkward guy, and Tom Cruise, the super good-looking guy, he touches everybody and is confident. Yeah, because of his looks. And the other parts, the one from Spider-Man is from a movie. He's just acting, of course. But again, you take the guy who is portrayed as not good looking. Fucking hell, man. The whole video is a huge contradiction. It's like a Blackpool video.
[video] 7:32 It's the end of closeness. It's one of the ways Oprah Winfrey connects with people so quickly.
[video] 7:42 Now, obviously, this has to be done correctly. Otherwise, you can create discomfort. And there's four key principles for making sure that your touch is appropriate and well received.
7:49 Yeah, it's well received if you're good looking.
7:54 Like in that one video that I put in my Blackpool video where the guy just met this girl and she gave him a kiss right away. Is it gonna work if you're below average in looks? No. You can give her a goodbye hug right away the first time you meet her if you're good looking, because she will want to be touched by you. Hey, come on, man. Jesus.
[video] 8:21 First, keep your touch to non-central areas of the body, like the hands, the arms, the shoulders, and the upper back.
8:27 Really, it just depends on how good-looking you are, where you can touch somebody. That's it. This is just so simple.
[video] 8:38 Each touch to roughly under five seconds. If your touch lingers longer than that, it can start to feel creepy.
8:42 third be a yeah imagine young brad pitt in his 20s touches a girl for five seconds 10 20 a minute is it ever gonna feel bad is it ever gonna feel wrong universal toucher give a caring touch to the people around you regardless of your attraction to them and you'll come across as friendly and confident man this video is a joke again good looking guy jesus christ he's showing famous good-looking actors and models
[video] 9:07 But if you focus on just one person that you might have a crush on, you can seem weird and even predatory. And fourth, be mindful of how people react.
9:12 Yeah, again. Come on, why? Why does he seem predatory?
[video] 9:18 Act and, of course, calibrate accordingly. If you see someone stiffen or lean back, then you've gone too far and need to pull back yourself. Don't be like Seinfeld's close talker friend who is completely unaware of people's reactions. Hello, Aaron. Hello, Aaron. So how long are you folks in town?
[video] 9:37 Yeah, but if somebody has respect for you, especially if you're taller and better looking than them Then they will listen to you
10:05 And if not, then nothing is going to change that.
[video] 10:08 One last caveat on this. This is most important in groups.
10:11 If you're talking... People don't even care about what you have to say. It all depends on your looks in the end. Yeah, sure. If you're talking about a very specific topic and you want to get information from somebody, yeah, okay, that's different. That's more so online. Yeah, if you watch somebody's videos and you need to learn something for school, it's not as if you really care how they're going to look like, the one who's presenting the information.
[video] 10:35 Now, the last trick to instantly command more respect is to openly share your shortcomings. Most people incorrectly think that you have to hide your flaws, put on a strong front, and fake it till you make it, right? The truth is more nuanced, and that's because people can sense when you're hiding something, especially if you're overcompensating. Hi, would you mind taking a picture?
10:52 At the end of the day, it also boils down to your looks. This point is very slightly better. Like this guy, for example, on the left, he already showed him before. He looks way better with long hair. I know that it's fake hair. I'm pretty sure, right? From the movie. But man, every man looks better with long hair. It's crazy. But he looks crazy much better with long hair. Crazy. Compare him to the short hair version. Look at this guy.
11:24 Sometimes it's just insane what hair does to you. Okay, I'm drifting away from the topic, but wow. Yeah, anyway, I was just saying, let's say that he would have some kind of insecurity. Could be anything, doesn't matter. His feet look weird. He would just say in an interview, right? Millions of people are watching. Yeah, but my toes, look at one of my toes. It's... Or I only have four toes, let's just say it's possible. Some kind of deformity. He would just show it, then he would just seem as if he's secure and he doesn't care. Yeah, because he's good-looking overall, that's my point. Somebody who is bad-looking overall is gonna try to hide anything and just be very insecure just overall about everything. So in the end, this is all about looks anyway, because Nobody else is really gonna be able to admit his shortcomings.
12:23 They will just hide everything.
[video] 12:27 When you share your flaws and they don't embarrass you, it shows massive confidence. You just watch the reaction that Brad Pitt gets for this award acceptance speech. Let's be honest, it was a difficult part. The guy who gets high, takes his shirt off and doesn't get on with his wife.
[video] 12:43 It's a big stretch. It's big.
[video] 12:51 But you do need to know how to use this trick properly so that it doesn't backfire. And the key is all in the delivery.
12:55 You have two strong... Yeah, but... It's exactly what I meant by, come on, look at him, whatever. ...options here.
[video] 13:03 You can say your shortcomings as a joke, like Brad does here, or you can say it as a simple statement of fact with strong eye contact, no stutter, and a downward tone. I had my ass kicked by a ragged band of elves.
[video] 13:14 Any man willing to paint himself in the shadow of his failures will make for far more interesting conversation this night. Right, which is based on your looks. Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course. And then, of course, it just fuck off.
13:43 Mastery is a 30-day program that is designed to help you master your emotions and your subconscious beliefs all of these videos end with some kind of course some kind of program that you can then subscribe to pay a monthly fee and Then you learn how to psychologically become more confident and all of these tips to make you What you won't look better to make you feel better somehow. That's what they talk you into believing. But then in reality, when you try it in real life, it will still not work. Fuck, man. Thank God for Blackpool content and that there are some people out there who try to wake people up. But this garbage is just so widespread.
14:39 Essentially, every point. I didn't show the fifth one, it was super boring. But all of them were about your looks at the end of the day, because it all boils down to that. And he himself, as I pointed out, even showed good-looking guys when they are confident, When they are the way he says they should be, when it's working, and then the guys who were not confident, who need to work on themselves, who need to join this program, those are bad-looking or at least worse-looking guys. He takes models, super good-looking guys, and for them it's all working out and all of these psychological tactics are working. What the hell, man? This would be a funny video if it was a joke, but unfortunately he was being serious. That makes it almost kind of sad still.
15:38 Good comedy channel, but should not be taken seriously. Thanks for watching.
